When the five Muslims convicted this month of plotting to kill U.S. soldiers at Fort Dix were charged, the New Jersey mosque where four of the men worshipped reacted to negative publicity by holding an "emergency town hall meeting" to calm neighbors and persuade Americans that Islam poses no threat.
But having investigated the Islamic Center of South Jersey one year ago, Middle East expert and former Air Force special agent Dave Gaubatz insists not only is the mosque a threat to national security, it represents a pattern that has prompted him to launch a massive project to systematically classify every known mosque in the U.S.Mapping Shariah in America: Knowing the Enemy seeks by the end of next year to document in a rigorous, scientific fashion the controversial premise that the more a mosque or community of Muslims adheres to Shariah, or Islamic law, the greater its threat to U.S. national security.

"That's exactly, that's what the data are showing," Gaubatz told WND, who has charted about 100 of the estimated 2,300 mosques his team has identified across the country. "The more adherent you are to Shariah, the more likely you are going to find the material to back that up at the mosque.

Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Jonathan Schanzer, deputy director of the Jewish Policy Center. He has served as a counterterrorism analyst at the U.S. Department of Treasury and as a research fellow at Washington Institute for Near East Policy. He is the author of the new book, Hamas vs. Fatah: The Struggle For Palestine. Daniel Pipes wrote the foreword to the book and some of the research was undertaken at Pipes' Middle East Forum.


FP: Jonathan Schanzer, welcome to Frontpage Interview.

Schanzer: Thanks, Jamie.

FP: You are an expert on Hamas and Fatah. What were Hamas’s calculations in it its rocket attacks?

Schanzer: First, it is important to stress that these rocket volleys are not at all new. Hamas has been firing rockets consistently at Israel for many years now – since 2001. Even during the recent ceasefire, or “lull” as some call it, Hamas fired salvo after salvo of rockets against Israel.
From a targeting perspective, as I note in my book, Hamas really has no calculations. Qassam rockets are very crude homemade weapons. They are virtually impossible to fire with any accuracy. Hamas simply aims them in the direction of Israeli civilian populations and then hopes that they cause damage or casualties.

In terms of a broader strategy, Hamas fires these rockets because its financial patron, Iran, encourages the group to do so. In fact, I would venture to say that Hamas would not have broken the ceasefire had it not gotten permission from the Mullahs to do so.

On a grassroots level, Hamas gains popularity by carrying out violence against the Jewish state. In other words, causing Israeli bloodshed strengthens Hamas’s political standing on the Palestinian street, where the majority puts a premium on anti-Israel violence.

FP: So if the majority of Palestinians in Gaza support Hamas’s vision of destroying Israel, which is reflected in the fact that the Palestinians elected these radical Islamists to power in 2006, how exactly can the world not blame the Palestinians for what we now see unfolding? Expand for us a bit on Palestinians’ support for violence against Jews and how any peace can even be possible if that kind of hate is not dealt with and denounced.

Schanzer: You get to the crux of the Palestinian–Israeli conflict here. The conflict exists because most Palestinians still seek the destruction of the State of Israel. This is why Hamas, an organization that is known primarily for its suicide bombings and rocket attacks against Israel, won the popular vote in the free and fair legislative elections of 2006. Suicide attacks and rocketing get wide approval ratings in the Palestinian territories. This is, to some extent, why Hamas and other groups continue to employ these violent tactics. The decision to support murder and bloodshed is now backfiring horribly on the Palestinian people.

The police have contracted a security firm to help with the surveillance and protection of the police station in the Malmö suburb of Rosengård.

In connection with unrest in Rosengård the station has on repeated occasions been the target of fireworks, vandalism and stone-throwing youths.

The security firm will be deployed to help to ensure that the vandalism is not repeated, according to a report by local TV4 news program.

Michael Storm at Malmö police pointed out to TV4 that the move in no way meant that the police were unable to look after themselves.

The security firm will instead render it unnecessary for police officers to keep watch outside their own police station and free up resources for other duties. The firm will help the police to monitor those moving in and around the area.

"We of course think that this is an insecure situation, but now it has happened and we are working on normalizing the situation," he said.

The unrest began in Oxie, a suburb south-west of central Malmö, when a skip began burning soon after 7.30pm on Monday evening. Police confirmed that security guards and passers-by were shot at with fireworks and several more fires were started.

The Christmas tree on the main square in Oxie was one of the targets and local resident Bo Persson expressed concern over recent developments.

"It has been awful lately. They should really ban fireworks. It is just a small number that are behind this carry on and ruin it for us all," he said to local newspaper Sydsvenskan.

Ten police units were sent to the area during the evening and by 11pm four young men had been arrested for public order offences.

Trouble first flared up in Oxie on December 8th. Since then police and emergency services have been sent to the area on a round 20 occasions.

On Sunday a police car had its windows broken, and there have been several reports of arson and fireworks being shot towards balconies and people.

It's too damn bad Bush didn't take this position eight years ago. Had he openly backed Israel instead of trying to broker a faux peace settlement with fanatical, rabid islamic terrorists, we'd have a stable, strong, defined Israel with Arab neighbors who would coexist peacefully out of fear of Israel's military.

White House Says Violence in Gaza Will Stop When Hamas Ends Rocket Fire
The Bush administration called for Hamas to stop shooting rockets into Israeli towns if it wants Israel to stop its deadly air offensive in Gaza.

The Bush administration is continuing to monitor events in Israel and Gaza, but insisted again Monday that Hamas stop agitating for a fight whose latest violence has resulted in more than 300 dead Palestinians and two dead Israelis.
"In order for the violence to stop, Hamas must stop firing rockets into Israel and agree to respect a sustainable and durable cease-fire. That is the objective to which all parties need to be working. That is what the United States is working towards," National Security Council Spokesman Gordon Johndroe said in Crawford, Texas.

Johndroe said the administration is interested in getting back to the "roadmap" for peace and following the blueprint laid out in 2007 in Annapolis between Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, whose Fatah party is at odds with Hamas.
"Now no one wants to see violence," Johndroe said in a press conference with reporters. "We have urged the Israelis to avoid civilian casualties but they are working on decreasing the number of Israeli citizens who are vulnerable ... so they are going to continue to deal at this time with the Hamas terrorist threat."

Scenic Pakistani valley falls to Taliban militants

Until Pakistan makes a long term, serious commitment to eradicate the Taliban, the terrorist will continue to rearm and expand their territory. Afghanistan and India desperately need to join forces with Pakistan and eliminate terrorists of all flavors, weather they be Muslim, Hindu, or whatever. Individually, even with copious outside military and humanitarian help, there just isn't enough manpower to saturate the vast areas the Taliban and al Qaeda occupy.

The deteriorating situation in the former tourist haven comes despite an army offensive that began in 2007 and an attempted peace deal. It is especially worrisome to Pakistani officials because the valley lies outside the areas where al-Qaida and Taliban militants have traditionally operated and where the military is staging a separate offensive.

"You can't imagine how bad it is," said Muzaffar ul-Mulk, a federal lawmaker whose home in Swat was attacked by bomb-toting assailants in mid-December, weeks after he left. "It's worse day by day."

Today we shall be discussing Apostasy in Islam in depth. We shall be seeing the Fatwas by various schools of thought both Sunni as well as Shia.

What does Apostasy mean in Islam?
Apostasy is commonly defined as the rejection of Islam in word or deed by a person who has ever been a Muslim. This includes those born into Islam as well as those who are converts. There are no exceptions at all.
The four major Sunni Madh’hab (schools of Islamic Jurisprudence) and the Twelve Shi’a Jafari Madh’hab agree that any sane adult male apostate must be executed. However they differ on the punishment for a female apostate-while some schools call for death, there are others which call for imprisonment. The jurist Al-Shafi’i , after whom the Shfi’i sect was formed, interpreted Qu'ranic verse 2:217 as providing the main evidence for apostasy being a capital crime in Islam.
A minority of medieval Islamic jurists, such as Hanafi jurist Saakshi, Maliki jurist Abu al-walid Al-Baji and Ibn Taymiyya And the Shi’a Grand Ayotollah Hoseein-Ali Motantazi Argued that issuing fatwas issued for the purpose of the execution of Apostates was not valid. However these opinions are in a negligible minority.

What constitutes apostasy in Islam?
Apostasy is not a small issue in Islam. Over the years Islamic Jurisprudents developed a system to identify an Apostate. Let us go through the various conditions which render a person as an Apostate.

Well, our government has sold out our military and civilians working in Iraq. The mindless and clueless agreement gives the Iraqi government almost total legal control of our personnel. The agreement places our soldiers under Sharia law.

Hardly comfortable for U.S. on Iraq's SOFA

Here's your hat, what's your hurry — but since you're still hanging around, why don't you knot your shoelaces together and soak your head?

That's the unsubtle Iraqi subtext to the agreement the United States recently and triumphantly inked with Iraq widely known as the Status of Forces Agreement, or SOFA.

Officially, the pact is titled "Agreement between the United States and the Republic of Iraq on the Withdrawal of United States Forces from Iraq and the Organization of Their Activities During Their Temporary Presence in Iraq," but I guess AUSRIWUSFIOTATTPI is a hard sell.

Actually, the whole thing is a hard sell, or surely would be if Americans really knew that in the interest of a treaty, the Bush administration has gone so far as to trade away, among other things, some of our troops' constitutional rights.

Media focus has narrowed mainly on a few points, including: Article 24, Paragraph 1, which stipulates a withdrawal date for all U.S. forces from Iraq of no later than Dec. 31, 2011; and Article 12, Paragraph 2, which states that "Iraq shall have the primary right to exercise jurisdiction over United States contractors and United States contractor employees." This means, of course, that as of Jan. 1, 2009, when the agreement goes into effect, all U.S. contractors will be under Iraqi law 24/7, just as though they were tourists vacationing in a foreign country rather than employees of the U.S. government working in a war zone.

But there's so much more to be sick about in this 18-page document, which I only recently found in its entirety online via one of the closer analyses out there by Chris Weigant writing at Huffington Post. (Contrary to my conclusions, Weigant thinks the agreement bodes "a pretty good outcome, all things considered.")

Weigant begins his analysis with Article 4 ("Missions"), aptly noting that "Iraq gets veto power over American operations." But that's putting it mildly. Paragraph 2 reads: "All such military operations ... shall be conducted with the agreement of the Government of Iraq ... shall be fully coordinated with Iraqi authorities." Paragraph 3 reads: "All such operations shall be conducted with full respect for the Iraqi Constitution and the laws of Iraq...." And there's more: "It is the duty of the United States Forces to respect the laws, customs and traditions of Iraq...."

A TEENAGER says he is lucky to be alive after thugs beat him up and threw him into the River Roch.
Kieran Parker of Belfield had been on a night out in the town centre following his girlfriend’s works’ Christmas party when he was brutally attacked by a gang of Asian men.
Before the incident, in the early hours of last Sunday morning, he believes a group of between three men and four men in their early 20s had begun following him.

The 19-year-old warehouse worker stopped to wait for a taxi at Central Taxis in Water Street when they started to become aggressive, so he ran off.
But the gang caught him and beat him till he was barely conscious.
"I kept telling them to stop and they were swearing at me and hitting bricks at my head," he said.

Kieran, who celebrates his son’s first birthday this weekend, says his attackers then threw him into the river.
It is thought he fell around 25ft into the water below.
The former Hollingworth High School pupil can’t remember how he eventually got out of the freezing cold water.

"I thought I was going to die," he said.

Barely able to walk, he says he eventually made his way back to Central Taxis.
His mother Cath said: "He came to the taxi rank absolutely covered in blood with no top on, just dripping with water and soaked through.
"They wrapped him up in a sheet because he was freezing and they brought him home like that.

Asylum-seekers occupy Zurich church

More riots by muslim asylum seekers in Switzerland over not being processed into the welfare system fast enough. As a group, I've never seen such ungrateful, arrogant, mean, nasty, lying, cheating group as many muslims prove to be. This is similar to muslims in other countries rioting and demanding that they be given mosques and community centers by the local taxpayers. In other words, the host country had better accommodate every whim of the muslim colonizers or be attacked by riotous muslims.

GENEVA, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Over 100 asylum-seekers have occupied a church in the old town of Switzerland's financial capital Zurich to protest about delays in processing their papers, activists said on Sunday.
The peaceful occupation, in the days before Christmas, was intended to prompt sympathy from local people.

"It's a time when people expect a sign of humanity from each other," Tamara Rennaald of the activist group Bleiberecht (right to stay) told Reuters.
Bleiberecht said in a statement about 150 asylum-seekers and supporters had occupied the church since Friday. Rennaald said at least 100 of these were asylum-seekers.

The refugees -- men, women and children -- come from Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Ethiopia, Somalia and other countries.
They say asylum-seekers elsewhere in Switzerland are being processed promptly, but the Zurich authorities are not taking advantage of regulations allowing them to handle hardship cases quickly. They also object to the conditions they are held in.

The head of the Zurich migration office, Adrian Baumann, was quoted by Swiss news agency ATS as saying that the asylum-seekers did not meet the conditions for their claims to be examined, and that the Zurich authorities were sticking strictly to federal directives for dealing with foreigners.

Norway: Asylum shelter removes mosque

This should prove to be interesting. The clueless vanilla beau racy of Norway is about to be challenged by muslim refugees irate that a they need to move out of govermnent property and find a mosque/community center on their own. As far as muslims are concerned, once an area has been used as a mosque, it must forever after remain in muslim hands, even if they do not own the land.

The local authorities better brace for the usual rioting and death threats by the muslim community.

Norway: Asylum shelter removes mosque

Muslims at the Kongsvinger national shelter won't get their own prayer room any longer. The premises might become a billiard room.

The decision caused strong reactions among the more than 70 people who live in the shelter.

"About 80% of those who live at the shelter are Muslims. In addition, there are many others who come here to pray every Friday," says Alaa Madi, throwing out his arms in resignation.

In what was a holy room for many just a short time ago, there is now painting equipment. The shelter manager decided that the place would serve as a social room instead, maybe with a billiard table, and the work is in full swing.

'Do you want a prayer room or billiard?" asks Madi.

"Prayer room" is the answer in unison from the many male residents who came to give their opinion.

Alaa Madi doesn't live in the shelter, but is a spokesperson for the local Muslims. (This guy is the muslim equivalent of the a Communist organizer. ed.) The Kongsvinger man, who knows many of those who live in the shelter, points out that they have no other prayer room or mosque in the district. (They have no mosque in the area because they expect the government to give them one. ed.)

Fitzgerald: If we cut off the jizya, could things become even worse?

Hugh Fitzgerald makes a powerful argument for cutting off all aid to muslim countries. He concludes that doing so would not make the situation worse, and would actually free up the resources we now devote to helping the double dealing islamic world.

IMHO, the islamic world should be contained and run out of existence, similarly to the way the Soviet Union was brought down.

Imagine a world in which virtually all American largesse to every Muslim nation ceases (with, perhaps, very minor amounts of direct relief for very specific situations excepted). What then? Here’s The Long Answer:

No, of course not. Add up the sums expended on the Muslims and Arabs, trying to bring them here and there a semblance of prosperity and political decency. Let’s start with Iraq. So far the whole misguided venture, which attempts to undo or diminish or close up the very fissures, ethnic and sectarian, that we should do nothing to discourage but rather intelligently exploit, has cost, in past, present and fixed future costs (such as treatment of wounded veterans), about two trillion dollars. While the Americans made sure to collect money for the first Gulf War, they have done nothing to request, or to receive, any money from surrounding Arab states, even though it might be argued that Saddam Hussein had been a threat to them as well.

Teenage girl's warning after gang attack

While this article doesn't mention "no-go zones" that's what this area amounts to. When a gang of 15-20 feral muslim "youths" can run rampant and not be prosecuted for a hideous assault, then that's a no-go zone. I'd not let any of my family walk the streets of Burnley, day or night. The clueless, feckless police are asking the public for information on the "group of lads", not about a group of feral muslim thugs. Teenage girl's warning after gang attack

Published Date: 18 December 2008 A TEENAGE girl has spoken of her terror after a vicious attack left her needing hospital treatment. The 15-year-old was walking to her friend's home along Thursby Road at 6-40 p.m. on Sunday, when a gang of up to 20 young men started shouting abuse at her.

When she tried to walk away, two of the group ran after her and, as they grabbed her, one punched her twice in the ribs. The other stamped on her foot before she was able to get away and run home.

"It was really scary," said the girl, who did not want to be named. "They were on the other side of the road by the bus stop smoking when they saw me and that's when they started shouting. I had absolutely no idea who they were. I tried to ignore them but two of them came over to me and that's when one of them hit me and the other stamped on me. It really hurt and the pain is only starting to ease off now."

She was later taken to hospital where she was found to have bad bruising to her ribs.

The girl's mum said: "Something like this is extremely intimidating. It has really shaken her up. Luckily, the injuries were not as severe as they could have been. If it had been an elderly lady they had attacked she may not have been able to get away."

The youths, of Asian origin, are aged between 10 and 20 and Sgt Phil Carter, of Burnley police, said: "This appears to be a completely unprovoked attack on a young girl. We are urging anybody who may have seen this group of lads to come forward and help us with our investigation."

FBI Probes Terrorism Links in U.S. Somali Enclaves

WASHINGTON -- Federal agents are investigating whether young men from Somali immigrant enclaves in the U.S. are traveling back to their parents' homeland to fight on the side of Islamist terror groups.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is following the trail of more than a dozen young men missing from Somali communities in several U.S. cities, including Minneapolis, Boston and Columbus, Ohio, according to people familiar with the probe. Counterterrorism officials in Europe and Australia also are investigating similar reports in their countries.
Families of three teenagers earlier this month went public in Minneapolis, home to the largest Somali enclave in the U.S., saying their teenagers had disappeared in recent months and then turned up in Somalia. The families were spurred to action in part after twin October terror bombings in their homeland. One of them is believed to have been the first suicide bombing carried out by an American, according to U.S. law-enforcement officials.

More than 130 refugee doctors have disappeared in Britain — sparking fears there could be MORE terror cells operating in the NHS.

British Medical Association watchdogs have admitted to losing contact with 132 medics from Islamic terror hotspots like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia.
The revelation comes days after Scots-based doctor Bilal Abdulla was jailed for a minimum of 32 years for masterminding the attacks at Glasgow Airport and in London in June last year.
Intelligence sources say MI5 is monitoring at least 200 potential terror gangs throughout Britain.

One insider said last night: “Not every doctor who comes into Britain is a fanatic intent on causing terror — but after the Glasgow attack, there should be tighter controls. It seems there are a number of doctors who have simply disappeared from the BMA radar.”

Iraqi Abdulla, 29, worked at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley while he plotted to cause mass murder at the airport and at the Tiger Tiger club in London. According to figures released in June, there are 1,199 doctors registered on a database of refugee medics seeking work in the UK.

But now some thieving baggage handlers in Los Angeles were caught working with luggage screeners (who used an X-ray device to look inside bags for bombs or weapons). The screeners were on the lookout for bags containing particularly valuable stuff. If one showed up, the screener used his cell phone to alert the baggage handlers, so they could hit the right bag. Without this kind of intel, robbing luggage is a hit or miss affair, and if you do it too often, you get caught. These guys got caught anyway, but now airport management and security officials are concerned that this sort of thing is happening at other air ports.

And then the door opens and the Taliban’s terrifying new weapon is ushered in — the child suicide bomber.

Farman Ulla is just 16, though he looks much younger. He is thin, malnourished and with a face scarred by acne.
It is hard to believe this scrawny boy is a terrorist.
He was captured by Afghanistan intelligence agents while on a mission to detonate a bomb which would have killed himself and dozens of others in Jalalabad.

If he lost his nerve then his ‘back-up’ — another boy — would detonate the bomb for him by remote control.
It was a boy just like Farman, grinning from ear to ear as he pushed an explosive-laden wheelbarrow, who killed three Royal Marines in Helmand with his suicide bomb last week.

I’ve come to Kabul to this secret police headquarters to find out just how the Taliban can convince an Afghan boy to become a human bomb.
The first question I ask Farman is about death: is he not afraid of dying?
‘Oh no, even before you blow yourself up the virgins come to the site of the explosion and wait for you to take you to paradise,’ he says confidently, parroting his Taliban masters, who promise suicide bombers they will be rewarded with virgins for their act.

Then, chillingly, he smiles. As he looks at me with his boyish grin, the door of the interrogation room opens again and Farman’s accomplice, Abdul Quboshi, is brought in.
In the corner of the room on the floor is a suicide bomb vest similar to the one worn by Farman.

BIG THREE INTERNET PHONE CABLES CUT IN MIDDLE EAST

Weather or not the cutting of three communications cables is an accident or a terrorist attack, it's an illustration of just how fragile and vulnerable the infrastructure of the West is, either by nature or by man. The fact of the matter is, that the more advanced and reliant on technology a country is, the more vulnerable it is to low tech sabotage by islamic terrorists.

Simultaneous attacks on several aspects of infrastructure such as electrical transmission lines, fuel pipe lines, roads, rail lines and communication system would wreak havoc over thousands of square miles and cripple the rest of the country. Such attacks can be carried out with simple low tech tools and equipment by rather small teams. Assuming three man teams, three attacks on each of the above systems, the total number of field operatives is only 45 grouped into 15 three man teams. Above these, there would be several layers of command and control that would equip, train, support and ultimately, send the teams out. So it might take less than 100 funded, dedicated individuals to shut down any industrialized nation. These attacks do not need to be totally successful on their own, they just need to spread chaos and fear and in toto, temporarily overwhelm the emergency responders.

Any such coordinated attacks of a Western country by islamic terrorists would result in muslim upheavals in the rest of the world. If such a scenario were to unfold, other pious muslims (islamic terrorists) would come out from their "moderate" Mosques and join "The Grand Jihad" with their own home grown terror attacks. Just look at the rioting that has taken place when muslims are merely "insulted". There seems to be some sort of mass hysteria that sweeps the muslim world whenever the ummah is seen as being insulted.

Severed Cables in Mediterranean Disrupt Communication (Update4)

Dec. 19 (Bloomberg) -- Internet and telephone communications between the Middle East and Europe were disrupted after three undersea cables connecting Italy and Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea were damaged.
The failures cut the flow of “data of various kinds” between Europe and the Middle East, and there’s no timeframe for when communications will be restored, said Sanjeev Gaur, director of assurance at Reliance Globalcom Ltd. in India. France Telecom SA, which plans to send a maintenance boat to fix the problem, said the situation should be back to normal by Dec. 31.

MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- The FBI and members of the Minneapolis Somali community say they want to know what happened to several Somalis who have disappeared during the past few months.
Many people in the Twin Cities said they suspect the Abubakar As-Saddique Islamic Center and its iman [sic] are influencing Somali youth to become jihadists in an Islamic holy war overseas, or possibly in the United States, a charge the mosque denies, USA Today reported Friday.

"They are very powerful, whoever got into his mind and got him to do this," says the grandmother of one person who disappeared and eventually called her from Somalia. "We were forced out of our country one time. We don't want to be forced out of here."

Community activist Abdizirak Bihi says all of the youth who disappeared were raised by single mothers and spent a lot of time at the mosque.
"We are wanting the government and politicians to investigate who is responsible for sending our kids and we are requesting the American government to help us to get back our kids." Bihi said.

FBI Special Agent E.K. Wilson of the Minneapolis office wouldn't tell USA Today whether his agency is investigating the mosque, but said the agency knows that Muslims have been going overseas to fight.
"We're aware that a number of Somali men have traveled from around the United States, including Minneapolis, to potentially fight overseas," Wilson said.

Every Christmas season for the past four years, the Taliban accomplice and his parents have asked President Bush to pardon him. This country should save its tears and mercy for the defenders of freedom.

The farther we move from the September 11 attacks, the cloudier our collective memory of Lindh's case becomes. Sympathetic journalists have rewritten the history, embracing him as a naive young hippie-dippie from Marin County, Calif., who was just caught in the "wrong place at the wrong time."

Others, like Esquire magazine writer Tom Junod, have proclaimed him "innocent" and lamented his life behind bars in a federal medium-security facility. Junod criticized the government for forbidding Lindh to speak Arabic — human rights atrocity! Meanwhile, he enjoys the privilege of cooking meals for himself and fellow inmates, working in the library, and praying to Mecca. Junod insisted that Lindh deserves more "credit for his sense of purpose or his vast reserves of will" and more "credit for what it took to get to Afghanistan, much less what it took for him to get back to America."

In Afghanistan, I remind you, Jihad Johnny took up arms with the terrorists. His purpose was to kill Americans, and his "reserves of will" accomplished the goal. He told the feds he trained with al-Qaida before the September 11 attacks and fought alongside them after Osama bin Laden's henchmen murdered 3,000 of Lindh's fellow citizens on American soil. He wrote a letter to his mother expressing support for the U.S.S. Cole bombing that took 17 sailors' lives, and despite an emphatic denial by Lindh's father that Jihad Johnny took up arms against his country, he recounted how his rifle malfunctioned on the front lines in Takar.

Egyptian student gets 15 years in Fla. terror case

This is a glimmer of hope, a ray of light in an abysmal sinkhole of denial. This is the second terrorism conviction in just a matter of months following the convictions in the "Holy Land charity" case. These are really important cases because they are setting legal prescient in what is a new area of law.

It's heartening to know that there are judges out there who are willing to impose realistic sentences on muslim terrorists. Let's hope that in 15 years, ICE or whatever it has morphed into, will deport this guy on the first plane back to Egypt.

Lets hope his buddy gets the same 15 years.

U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday said the public needed to be protected from 27-year-old Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, who made the video "to empower others through his teaching to deliver death, destruction and, at the very least, panic."

Merryday handed the maximum sentence to the former University of South Florida graduate student, brushing aside his attorneys' pleas for leniency and the minimum eight-year sentence.

Scores of young people rioted on Thursday night in Rosengård, the Malmö suburb in which tensions have been running high since the recent closure of an Islamic cultural centre.

Some 100 youths ran amok for the second straight night, setting cars and garbage bins ablaze and throwing stones at police, police said.

"We've had a very difficult evening. There have been fires burning since this afternoon in garbage bins and cars, there's extensive damage to public property, and there's been stonethrowing and bomb threats against police," police spokeswoman Ewa-Gun Westford told AFP.

One person was arrested during the riots, she said.

Westford said the troubles were linked to the recent closure of an Islamic cultural centre in Malmö's heavily-immigrant populated neighbourhood Rosengård.

The owner of the building wanted to use the space for other purposes, and the Islamic centre, which housed a mosque among other things, moved out and handed over the keys.

But a group of young people squatted the office space on November 24th, and police intervened early this week to remove the occupants and empty the offices.

Police guarded the location until Wednesday, and once they left youths tried to occupy the building again.

Riots broke out on Wednesday night, when youths set fires in the area and threw stones and bottles at police. Seventeen youths were detained during those clashes.

"The origin of the riots is the occupation of the building. But that's not really the reason now, now other troublemakers have just joined in, taking advantage of the situation," Westford said.

Iraqi official: Leader of women's group killed

We can't have such a thing as women's rights, the Koran tells us that they are only worth half a man. It's much better to kill these rebellious women than to have to listen to their ideas about women's rights and human rights. Even in such a politically advanced muslim country as Iraq women's rights are something to be squashed at every opportunity.

Perhaps it's time for the West to remove all aid aand all personnel from muslim countries aand formulate a policy of contanment similar to the way the Soviet Union was dealt with.

Islam is at war with the West. The West cannot win this war unless it defines the enemy. Europe has all but surrendered to Islam, and America is in the process of doing so because their common enemy has not been defined. The same may be said of Israel, whose leaders are afraid to name the same enemy.
Using such terms as “Islamism,” Islamic fundamentalism,” “extremist Islam,” “radical Islam,” “militant Islam,” “political Islam,” “IslamoFascism” fails to expose the unique political and theological nature of the enemy, and this failure is a strategic error.

Henri Boulad, an Egyptian Jesuit and specialist in Islam, boldly states, “Islamism is Islam.” This statement, he says,is perfectly consistent with history and geography, with the Qur’an and the sunna, with the life of Muhammad and the evolution of Islam, with what Islam says about itself. I reject the position of people—Muslims or Christians—who bury their heads in the sand like ostriches … refuse to see the situation objectively, or take their wishes for realities, on behalf of dialogue and tolerance.

The Qur’an exalts the Muslim who “slays and is slain” for Allah (Sura 9:111). Islam, therefore, is a religion of death.

Defining Islam exposes you to the canard of racism. It can also lead to violent backlash. However, since Islam is waging war against the West, the West will lose this war if its political and intellectual leaders fail to educate public opinion about the true nature of the enemy.

One way to avoid the issue is to speak of “Muslim moderates.” That there are such Muslims is not strategically relevant in a time of war. Many Muslim moderates, as Daniel Pipes admits, are latent “extremists.” He estimates that 150 million Muslims support Jihad. Some estimate more than 300 million, equivalent to the population of the United States! Islam has a 1,400-year history. The West has taken a holiday from history—even from 9/11. However Islam is defined, Muslims have slaughtered about 270 million “infidels” since the time of Muhammad.

Yerushalmi: Hi, Jamie. Nice to be talking with you.

FP: It appears that CAIR is in quite a bit of trouble lately. Give us an update.
Yerushalmi: Four of my clients, who were all once clients of CAIR, have filed a federal civil complaint alleging criminal fraud and racketeering against CAIR.
The lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, arises out of what we can call the Morris Days affair. CAIR’s Herndon office, now shuttered, had hired Morris Days in June 2006 as their “Resident Attorney” and “Manager for Civil Rights”. As it turns out, Days was in fact not an attorney as he and CAIR represented to the public and as one might expect, he did not provide the legal services for those clients who came to CAIR for assistance.

What many people don’t realize is that CAIR operates and presents itself as a public interest law firm, much like the ACLU. As a PILF, it must comply with the codes of professional responsibility applicable to lawyers in the jurisdictions in which it operates and keep sacred the fiduciary duty it owes its clients. As the complaint sets out in careful detail, CAIR trampled on its clients and disregarded its professional obligations with a callous and calculating malice.

Slavery is alive and well in Sudan. What this article manages not to mention is that those taking slaves are following a 1400 years of islamist tradition of taking slaves as booty. The Western media must name islam for what it is, a totalitarian, supremacist band of murderous thugs masquerading as a religion.

Sudan's army and government-backed militia have abducted 'thousands' of civilians from Darfur, including children, to be used as sex slaves or for forced labour, according to a new report.

Many were kidnapped as mounted gunmen from the feared Janjaweed militia swept through their villages and were then marched to military camps where they were repeatedly raped, forced to prepare food, clean fighters' homes or work in their fields.
The report claims that others were flown across the country, where women were sold into forced marriages with soldiers and children were made to carry out domestic duties with no chance of escape.

The report, by the Darfur Consortium, a coalition of 50 African and international charities, said that the practice exactly mirrors the forced enslavement of 14,000 people from Sudan's south during its 1983 to 2005 war with Khartoum.
As then, the government of President Omar al-Bashir has again "comprehensively failed in its duty to protect its citizens from abductions", the report says, adding that its research showed "hundreds, but more likely thousands" of Darfuris had been abducted since the war there started in 2003.

This is a test case of monumental proportions. If the government is allowed to bail out religiously oriented financial organizations, the separation of church and state are breached.

The insurance giant AIG has lately become the poster child for corporate risk-taking, mismanagement and greed. Its unimaginably large losses, rooted in insurance it extended to financial companies engaged in subprime mortgage-backed transactions, have destroyed both AIG's corporate reputation and balance sheet.

Indeed, but for the fact that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson - who during his days running Goldman Sachs had extensive ties to AIG - deemed the insurance firm "too large to fail," the company would surely have gone under by now. Instead, Mr. Paulson gave AIG well over $40 billion of the slush-fund Congress intended to bailout the financial sector (part of a total $150 billion the U.S. has sunk in AIG to date). As a result, you and I and our fellow taxpayers have been saddled with ownership of nearly 80 percent of this once high-flying and now-floundering global insurance enterprise.

Another result of AIG's nationalization is, if anything, even more worrisome."

It turns out that AIG has a subsidiary specializing in "takaful" - insurance products that are purportedly "Shariah-compliant." I say purportedly because - while they have been cynically deemed "pure" (halal) by Shariah advisers that AIG employed for the purpose of making such certifications - the Islamic code expressly prohibits business transactions that involve risk. Consequently, insurance products designed to hedge against risk are inherently "impure" or haram.

Printemps foiled after police find explosives in restrooms

Police appear to have narrowly averted disaster in the heart of Paris today after neutralising explosives discovered in the world-famous Printemps department store.

Five sticks of explosive were discovered in various locations around the department store this morning, with police and judicial officials saying some were found in the restrooms.
Anti-crime brigades and demining teams were called in, and the store evacuated and cordoned off to prevent any harm to shoppers crowding the busy streets less than two weeks before Christmas.

The AFP newswire reported it has received a written tip-off by a previously unknown group calling itself the Afghan Revolutionary Front warning of 'several bombs' placed in the store.
Officials said the explosives did not include detonators, the BBC has reported.
AFP also reported the Afghan Revolutionary Front was demanding the withdrawal of all foreign troops from Afghanistan by February of next year.

The bombs were supposed to explode tomorrow, the group reportedly claimed.
France has about 2,600 troops serving with Nato in Afghanistan, though President Nicolas Sarkozy has said more will be sent.
Britain has just announced plans to send 300 more troops to Afghanistan, taking the total UK troops there to 8,300.

It is believed to be the second time in a week that AFP has received a warning about the store. The agency said it received a phone call from a similar Afghan group a few days ago regarding the store, but at the time, police chose not to evacuate.

More on the Oregon bank bombing. A picture has been released of a "person of interest". So far no other information has been released. A basic question is just what flavor terrorists are the perpetrators. Are they rabid tree huggers, some fundamentalist Christian sect, or islamic driven muslim on jihad?

The Marion County Sheriff's Office released photos of the man late Sunday. They wouldn't say where the photos were taken or whether they knew the man's identity.
The photos show a man in his 30s or 40s with a beard and dark hair.
Friday night's bombing killed two police officers who were investigating the device at a West Coast Bank branch in Woodburn. The town's police chief was critically injured.

A look at the two faced deceit of muslim authorities when lying to Westerners when speaking English, only to contradict themselves when speaking Arabic to other muslims. The sad thing is that our government officials and many on the left lap up the islamic lies like good "useful dhimmis".

What they say isn't what you hear

The full horror of contemporary Middle East politics and debate is comprehended by few in the West, largely because people aren't informed by their political leaders, intellectuals and media.

Occasionally, the truth emerges, as on September 11, 2001, but soon is reburied under mountains of obfuscation. After all, Iran's president called for Israel to be wiped off the map, according to the official Iranian translation, and The New York Times publishes an article analyzing whether this ever happened.

I imagine exchanges like this: Middle Easterner (in Arabic): "We'll wipe you out, kill your children and trample your cities into dust!" Translator (in English): "He says that justified grievances about American aggression are creating hurt feelings which can only be resolved by Western policy changes."

These thoughts are inspired by at least four examples this week.

First, an Arabic-speaker writes me, "Right now I'm watching Himam as-Sa'id, leader of the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood, on al-Aksa TV giving a speech (or rather a rant). He's screaming about how the Islamic armies will turn Palestine into a graveyard for the Jews." This is followed by threatening the Jordan government as traitorous for making peace with Israel and "the usual cliches." But then my friend concludes: "As we all know, this isn't the sort of language the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood uses when speaking English." For good measure, he inserts some links to Western newspaper articles that claim the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood is really a moderate organization with which Western governments should dialogue.

Then there are two recent interviews given by Palestinian Authority Ambassador to Lebanon Abbas Zaki, who explains that the PA considers the US an enemy. Of course, the Americans have been paying Zaki's salary for 14 years through direct aid and by persuading allies to donate money, backed a Palestinian state and pressed Israel into many concession for the PA. But none of this matters to Zaki and other senior Fatah leaders. In Arabic, they are still hard-liners and anti-Americans.
