Another case of the Pakistani government relying on Sharia rather than secular law.  In this instance, a Christian has been accused by a Muslim of blasphemy against Mohammed (the pedophile) in order to claim his land.  Accusing Christians of blasphemy is a common way to eliminate Christians whom run afoul of Muslims.  Being 99% Muslim, the police and government rarely, if ever bring chargesd aginst Muslims in Muslium/Christian disputes, even in the most grevious cases of abuse by Muslims.

FAISALABAD, Pakistan, June 29 (CDN) —

A Muslim vying with a Christian for a parcel of land here has accused the elderly man of “blaspheming” Islam’s prophet Muhammad, which is punishable by death or life imprisonment, according to the Christian Lawyers’ Foundation (CLF).

Jhumray police on June 19 arrested Rehmat Masih of village No. 165/RB Jandawali in Faisalabad district under Section 295-C of Pakistan’s controversial “blasphemy laws,” and he was sent to Faisalabad District Jail on judicial remand by Magistrate Muhammad Sajawal.

Section 295-C states that “whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) shall be punishable with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall be liable to fine.”

Christian sources said Masih, who suffers from arthritis, is 85 years old, though the First Information Report against him lists his age as 73.

The CLF’s Rai Navid Zafar Bhatti told Compass that hard-line Muslim Muhammad Sajjid Hameed filed the charges after learning that he would not be able to secure the Punjab Province land.

“He used the weapon of last resort, the controversial Blasphemy Laws’ Section 295-C, which preponderantly unbalances the scales of justice,” Bhatti said.

CLF President Khalid Gill said local Christian residents led by Masih had applied to the Punjab government to secure it for construction of a Christian residential area, and Hameed also had applied for the same parcel for commercial projects.

Hameed has testified in court that Masih made derogatory remarks about Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, and Khadija, the first wife of the founder of the religion, Bhatti said.

Gill said Masih has testified that he said nothing “humiliating” about Muhammad or Khadija.

“I am not a blasphemer, nor I can think of such a sinister thing, which is against the teachings of Christ,” Masih testified, according to Gill.

A CLF fact-finding team found that in April the frail Masih had argued with Hameed and several other Muslim hardliners – Shahbaz Khalid, Afzaal Bashir, Muhammad Aamer, Akber Ali and Asghar Ali – about the Virgin Mary, said Gill.

“At that time the elderly Masih, who at present is languishing in Faisalabad District Jail and facing discriminatory behavior and apathy of Muslim inmates and jail wardens, did not know that this altercation with Muslim men would lead to imprisonment for him,” Gill said.

Three of Hameed’s friends who backed him during the argument, 25-year-old Aamer, 45-year-old Akber Ali and 40-year-old Asghar Ali, have testified in support of Hameed’s accusation, according to Bhatti.

The CLF fact-finding team, led by Babu William Rose, a local Faisalabad Christian representative, found that Masih was also accused because he was a politically active member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam party (PML-Q), while Hameed supports the PML-Nawaz Sharif (PML-N).

Representatives of the National Commission for Justice and Peace also asserted that Masih’s political views played a role in Hameed having him jailed under Pakistan’s blasphemy statues, saying that Hameed was using the power of the PML-N, which rules Punjab province, to implicate Masih in the case.
Gill and Azher Kaleem of the CLF sternly condemned the incarceration of Masih and said that the blasphemy laws must be repealed at once as they are widely used to take vengeance in personal or land disputes.

Section 295-A of the blasphemy laws prohibits injuring or defiling places of worship and “acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class of citizens.” Section 295-B makes willful desecration of the Quran or a use of its extract in a derogatory manner punishable with life imprisonment.

We recently got taken to the mat by a polite, young Muslim living in the U.K. who took issue with our oft-repeated statement that no Muslim-American lost their life to vigilante violence following 9/11.  She provided us a list of six or seven candidates and, after whittling out the ones where the killer was unknown or in cases with mitigating circumstances such as “victim was sleeping with killer’s ex-girlfriend” (and we’re not making that up), we reached a shocking conclusion:

We were wrong.

There is one seemingly unambiguous case that occurred in Dallas, Texas where Waqar Hasan, a Muslim convenience storeowner, was gunned down by Mark Anthony Stroman four days after the 9/11 attacks.  Stroman claimed to have been motivated by anger from watching the towers fall.  He is not exactly your average American, however, even apart from the shooting.  For one thing, he is a white supremacist who carried a felony criminal record at the time of the attack.  He also went on to shoot two more people in the weeks that followed.

Thankfully, an American jury sentenced Mark Stroman to death.  The same cannot be said of many Muslim terrorists such as Lockerbie bomber, Abdelbaset Al Megrahi, who not only have sanctuary in Muslim countries, but are often treated as heroes by devout followers of Muhammad.

Nevertheless, we acknowledge that our friend is correct and that there was at least one Muslim killed in an anti-Arab hate crime in the U.S. following the anti-American hate crime on 9/11.  For anyone keeping score:

Of course, 9/11 was neither the first nor the last time that Muslims have killed Americans on U.S. soil in terror attacks.  In fact, since that day, Muslims have killed at least 58 people in 33 separate acts of terrorism in the United States (by the standards that Muslim-American groups set for hate crimes).  Perhaps more importantly, there have been quite a few planned mass murders of Americans by Islamic terrorists that were thwarted by the FBI, law enforcement and overseas intelligence operations both before and after 9/11.

By contrast, Muslim-Americans do not appear to be in any special danger from murderous (non-Muslim) religious fanatics, even in a nation awash in firearms.  Identity groups, such as CAIR, whine incessantly about relatively trivial incidents while turning a blind eye to the horrible violence that is meted out daily in the name of their religion.  This distasteful petulance offers insight not only into the character of Islam, but also the impressive religious tolerance that Americans manage to maintain.

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) has appeared in the form of "corrective surgery" at a premier American hospital. While we lambaste the practice abroad, some doctors are justifying its use and performing FGM in the United States.

In 1997, it was estimated that 168,000 women and girls had been or were at risk of undergoing FGM. This isn't just immigrants bringing their cultural practice to the U.S.; as it turns out, FGM is being performed at an Ivy League university. This story demonstrates how our image-obsessed culture is encouraging the mutilation of young girls.

Dr. Dix P. Poppas, head of pediatric urology department at Cornell University's New York Presbyterian Hospital, one of the premier hospitals in the nation, has been performing clitoral reductions — a.k.a. female genital mutilation — on young girls. The abhorrent practice, according to the good doctor, is humane because it spares girls from the humiliation of having an "oversized" clitoris. He claims the practice is "nerve-sparing" and that he runs tests by prodding and using a vibrator on the young girls after the surgery.

Surgeries, especially ones as delicate as this, can easily go awry, injuring young girls permanently, impeding their sexual lives, reproduction, relationships, and possibly other health complications. And prodding a six-year-old with a vibrator probably won't tell you whether or not the thousands of nerves in the clitoris that lead to orgasms have really been spared. Not to mention that these follow-up "tests" sound a lot like traumatizing molestation to me.

On Alternet, Daniela Perdomo points out that 1 in 2,000 infants is born with some sort of genital ambiguity. Parents, she concludes, may therefore be confused and opt to put their child under the knife. But one in 2,000 actually amounts to a sizable group of people. Doctors should help parents understand that their child is alright just the way she is — not encourage dangerous surgery. Instead, Dr. Poppas is telling nervous parents that their young girls need dangerous surgery — that their sexual happiness and who they are is not as important as having their genitals look a certain way.

We think of FGM as an indefensible crime when we hear about it taking place in other parts of the world, yet here in the U.S., although the practice is illegal, some doctors and parents are justifying mutilation by another name in order to make kids look "normal." Women already undergo painful and dangerous surgeries to alter their appearance, from breast implants to liposuction, but this goes too far.

I can think of no surgery more shaming and harmful for a young girl. What message does it send if you grow up knowing that your appearance is more important than your pleasure and happiness? And whereas a woman can choose to have a breast enhancement, a young girl has no say over whether or not her clitoris goes under the knife. Not only are there physical dangers, there are also psychological and social lessons a child would take from such a surgery that teach them they are worthless and abnormal.

This is a truly horrific story happening right in New York. Sign this petition and tell Cornell and New York Presbyterian Hospital to stop female genital mutilation now.

If, on Sept. 12, 2001, I’d gone around telling people that in a few years we were going to hand major port security and operations over to the United Arab Emirates, they would have told me I was certifiable. If I had then told them that a few years later, the proposed memorial for the victims of Flight 93 would be in the shape of an Islamic crescent, they would have shipped me off to a sanitarium. If I then proceeded to tell them that a couple years after that plans would be approved for a mosque to be built yards from Ground Zero, they would have lobotomized me. If I also announced that in the midst of all this we would elect someone named “Hussein” president, they would have slipped a razor into my cell and turned a blind eye while I did us all a favor.

Did you ever wonder if the unimaginable arch of events that we’ve witnessed since 9/11 weren’t just a movie that we’re in, at the end of which the main character (us) finds out he’s crazy?

I believe we’re lobotomized.

Except for Staten Islanders. That convent-to-mosque conversion ain’t happening anytime soon. Italian-Americans don’t take much crap from outsiders, and Staten Island is where folks had no problem booing Muslims to their faces at a community meeting three weeks ago and where one woman asked the dais of Muslims point-blank: “Wouldn’t you agree that every terrorist, past and present, has come out of a mosque?”

I recently made the point that Americans who are offended by the idea of Islam marking its area of conquest with this mosque, are getting the slightest sense of what it is to be a Serb living in Kosovo, where monuments to Serb-killers dot the landscape. In this wonderful video of Pamela Geller’s anti-Ground-Zero-Mosque event on June 6, one speaker after another takes exception to New York politicians predictably calling opponents of the mosque “bigots.” (Because that’s easier to do than actually go up against the Muslims.) But I would remind my fellow Americans that we called the Serbs bigots when they dared fight back against Islamic supremacy and deadly bullying. The Serbs were painted as the supremacists, a reputation that remains intact today and why you never see the word “Serb” without the word “nationalist.” To this day, no one speaks against this. And so we see the result: “First, they came for the Serbs…”

When debating the invaders/body-snatchers about this mosque on radio or TV (or in any other setting), I would advise opponents of the mosque to point to the Muslim Festival of, I believe, 2008 — which was essentially a march through Manhattan ending at Union Square. Union Square was then occupied by praying Muslims in a very hostile way, conveying precisely a message of occupation to New Yorkers. It is with the demeanor of occupiers — not multiculturalists — that the Muslims will be going in and out of the Ground Zero Mosque. And when my pal Pamela Geller debates dingbats like Joy Behar (”debates” because these supposed “neutral” moderators uniformly end up taking the pro-mosque position of the other debater), she might find she can illuminate such twit brains — who insist that “extremists” and “Muslims” are two different things and that mosque-building is unrelated to terrorism — by asking them to consider whether it’s mere coincidence that the mosque-building frenzy and ascendant Islam are taking place simultaneously with the rise in extremism and terror.

Modern, moderate Muslim majority Indonesia continues to lurch toward full Sharia law.  The Christian population is being persecuted as never before. Christian persecution is being sed as an excuse to impose Sharia law over the secular side of the Indonesian government.

A joint congress of Muslim organizations demanded the Bekasi regency and municipality administrations immediately implement Islamic sharia law to deter the growth of Christianity in the area.

“We will urge the [Bekasi] regency and municipal administrations to pass more sharia-based bylaws and regulations to limit apostasy and squeeze out attempts to weaken Muslim unity in the city,” Sulaiman Zachawerus, the chairman of the Bekasi branch of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), said Sunday at the conclusion of a congress of more than 500 participants at Al Azhar mosque.

Apart from hard-line Muslim groups in the area, the congress, which was held on the past two Sundays, was also attended by local branches of two mainstream Muslim organizations, Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama. 

“[Christians] have gone too far,” Abdul Rouf, the head of the Bekasi branch of Muhammadiyah, said.

The congress also called for the establishment of the Laskar Pemuda (Youth Soldiers) paramilitary group to thwart “possible conflict with local Christians” following the organizations’ joint call to fight what they called attempts by Christians to convert the local population.  

“We are planning to station members [of the group] in every mosque in the city,” said Tunggal Sawabi, an official with the Bekasi branch of the Islam Defenders Front (FPI) who was appointed as one of the “field commanders”.

This first-ever joint forum in the area was held after a series of clashes between Muslims and Christians.

Rapid development in residential and industrial zones has turned Bekasi, located in the outskirts of Jakarta, into a more culturally and religiously diverse city, making it vulnerable to religious conflict, mainly between Muslims and Christians.

In the past, such conflict has flared up around the city, mostly triggered by disputes over allegedly unauthorized churches.

This year, the number of inter-religious conflicts has grown.

Last month, a Christian school in Pondok Gede was attacked after a former student allegedly posted a picture showing him putting a copy of the Koran in a toilet in the school’s blog.

A few weeks later, after protracted pressure from hard-line Islamic groups, the Bekasi municipal administration finally decided to forcefully take down the Tiga Mojang (Three Ladies) sculpture from the entrance to the Kota Harapan Indah residential complex, following the groups’ allegations that the sculpture was obscene and symbolic of the Christian Trinity.

Yunahar Ilyas, a chairman of Muhammadiyah, admitted that there were innate “ethical” problems with religious missionaries in the country.

The “unwritten” rules among missionaries, he said, stipulated that one should not attempt to convert those who had already embraced a religion.

“Once the rule is broken, it becomes a sensitive matter and the local administration must play an active intermediary role in preventing the conflict from escalating.”

Yunahar, however, said the sharia law proposal ran counter to interfaith dialogue in the area, which should have solved the issue.

“This case proves interfaith dialogue is merely a superficial process that has little impact,” he said.

Super Lifter

Once upon a time, long ago, when I lived in Kabul, I was shocked when I first saw a woman wearing a burqa. I was twenty years old but had grown up in New York and considered myself something of a worldly intellectual. True, the women in my family did not wear burqas—but they did wear attractive head scarves, long coats and gloves. True, at home, the female servants were not in burqas; they would not be able to work. True, female agricultural workers or female servants on errands did not always wear burqas—but if a male stranger passed by they would quickly, deferentially, turn their faces away and hide their faces in their headscarves.

And, I was there in the “salad days” when returning Afghan college students were hopeful about the future of Afghanistan, and who even now, in bitter exile, remember the 1960s and 1970s as a time when Afghanistan had flourished and began to modernize.

Well, for what it’s worth, democracy exists in Afghanistan (ha!). But today, women voted there. Here is a photo of a woman registering to vote in Herat. Clearly, she thinks this is an important moment and wants to have a photo to remember it.

Tragic, comical, ironic, pathetic. This is a photo of non-existence, of erasure, proof of invisibility—but also of pride and “agency.” This woman chose to vote and to take a photo of herself.

Christian Professor in Pakistan Beaten for Refusing to Convert. In another province, three eighth-grade students expelled for declining Islam.

Muslim students attacked a Christian professor at the University of Peshawar this month after he refused their demand to convert to Islam, the instructor told Compass.

Psychology professor Samuel John, a father of four who has been teaching at the university in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province for 12 years, said that as he came out of his house on the university campus at 8:30 a.m. on June 14, about 20 to 25 students rushed and assaulted him.

“I shouted for help, but no one came to help,” he said.

When his wife learned what was happening, she ran to help him, but the students beat her as well. Both John and his wife were rushed to Lady Reading hospital, where they were treated for their injuries, with John listed in critical condition.

“I am still getting threats,” the professor told Compass. “They say, ‘Leave the university or accept Islam – if you don’t convert, we will kill your family.”

Police have refused to register a First Information Report on the incident, he said.

A group of five students had visited John on May 15, he said.

“They said, ‘Professor, you are a good teacher and a good human being, please convert to Islam and we will provide you with everything you need,’” John said. “I was surprised and said, ‘Why do you want me to convert? I am a Christian, and Jesus Christ is my Savior – He provides me with everything.”

One of the students became angry, saying, “Don’t forget that you are a family man,” John said. “I said, ‘I am not scared of anyone, God will protect me and my family.’”

He reported the matter to the dean of the University of Peshawar, but the official was unable to take any action because the Islamic students councils are supported by political parties and powerful Islamic groups, the professor said.

His family became worried, and other professors spoke of going on strike on John’s behalf, demanding an apology from the students who threatened him.

“They said, ‘This is a university, no one will be allowed to take the law in their hands – we are professors and teach everyone and do not discriminate by religion, caste, creed or color,’” John said.

But no action was taken against anyone. John subsequently faced various forms of harassment from different Islamic student groups who threw stones at his home, sent threatening letters and threatened his family over the phone, he said.

John had recently been honored with an award for best results in psychology at colleges throughout Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province. Muslim professors and Muslim student councils were upset that a Christian professor was getting so much attention, Christian sources said.

Students Pressured
Separately, in Danna village in southern Punjab Province, Muslim administrators told three Christian students in the eighth grade to leave the school because they refused to convert to Islam.

A new teacher of Islamic Studies who came from another village to Government High School Danna urged students in his class, Sunil Masih, Shazia Masih and Nasir Naeem, to convert to Islam, according to the father of Sunil, Ejaz Masih.

The teacher, whom the parents declined to name, is also a Muslim leader.

“The teacher began by saying, ‘Sunil, Shazia and Nasir, convert to Islam – it is the true religion, and you will go straight to heaven,” Ejaz Masih said.
The students reported the pressure to their parents, who came to the school and complained to the principal.

The principal asked the teacher to explain the details of what happened, but other staff members at the school supported the new teacher, Masih said. On June 16, under pressure from other teachers, the principal told the parents to remove their children from the school unless they were willing to convert to Islam.
“We have been forced to leave the village,” Masih said. “The police have refused to help us. We are helpless here.”

Masih, along with Sohail Masih and Naeem Boota, parents of the other children, have fled the village with their families. Their children were the only Christian students at the school.

Pakistan Watches Google, Other Sites for Blasphemy

Pakistan again demonstrates it's adherence to Sharia rather than secular rule.  All it's trappings of democracy are merely window dressing to lure the West into pouring billions of dollars into the fight against Islam.  The money of course, ultimately goes to strengthen the Islamists pulling the strings.

An official says Pakistan will start monitoring seven major websites, including Google, for anti-Islamic content. It also is blocking at least 17 other, lesser-known sites it deems offensive to Muslims.

The decision comes in response to a recent order from a judge in Punjab province.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority spokesman Khurram Mehran said Friday that the sites to be monitored include Yahoo, Google, MSN, Hotmail, YouTube, Amazon and Bing.

Mehran said the telecommunication authority would block links to sacrilegious content found on those sites.

Pakistan temporarily banned Facebook for about two weeks in May amid anger over a page that encouraged users to post images of Islam's Prophet Muhammad.

In the not-too-distant past, such remorseless killers, such as Jack The Ripper, Ted Bundy, and the Green River Killer, targeted mainly vulnerable women, including prostituted women, whom they kidnapped, raped, tortured, and murdered. Often, breasts and genitalia were savagely mutilated.

Today, these horrific, individual acts pale in comparison to the barbarism of the Islamist world where similar, but legally approved and publicly shared acts of woman-hatred are carried out by national presidents, religious leaders, Vice and Virtue police—and by mobs inflamed by Friday sermons. In 2001, egged on by their imam, hundreds of men in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria physically and sexually attacked any woman they could find, murdering some, sexually mutilating others. Also in Algeria, religious paramilitary troops kidnapped young girls off the streets, forced them into domestic and sexual slavery, then murdered and beheaded them when they became pregnant. In 2006, one thousand men in Cairo, Egypt, went on a post-mosque “wilding” in which they attacked every unveiled, then every veiled, woman in sight.

True, civil and ethnic wars, largely in Africa (Rwanda, Sudan, Congo), are also characterized by savage anti-woman practices such as the repeated, public gang-rapes of young girls and women. Indeed, rape has increasingly been used as a strategic weapon of war, not merely as a spoil of war—and this once happened in European Bosnia and Herzegovina as well.  But by and large, the normalized brutalization of women characterizes Arab and Muslim behavior especially in an Islamist, jihadic era.

The Khomeini- Algerian- and Taliban-era’s hot hatred of women, including Muslim women, and of disobedient Muslim girls and women, got heartbreakingly hotter.

Khomeini began by re-veiling the formerly modern and educated women of Tehran. The 1980s Iranian mullahcracy escalated matters; they stoned women to death—but raped them first so that the rape victim would not be able to enter Paradise. The mullahs also forced women into prostitution, then penalized them (not the Johns or the pimps) for it, all the while restricting womens’ rights at home, on the streets, and on the job.

Afghanistan (which didn’t need much in the way of encouragement) went “native” and adopted some of the worst Arab customs. They also went “Persian,” and came into their medieval own. Thus, the Afghan Taliban also stoned women to death but they did so publicly, in large stadiums, with large, blood-thirsty, cheering male crowds. The Afghan Taliban, and after them, the warlords, refused to allow women to work, even when they were war widows and the mothers of dependent children. This forced women into prostitution for which they were jailed. Girls were prevented from going to school, women could not even run beauty parlors or wear makeup, polygamy flourished as did the sale and forced marriage of female children.

Then, the Pakistani Taliban jumped on this bandwagon of misogyny. Roving vigilante squads started spraying acid onto little girls’ faces for the crimes of going to school or simply for allowing their headscarves to slip. They went beyond mutilating the breasts and genitalia of murder victims to scarring the faces of young girls forever.

The control of women and the woman-hating frenzy went viral, crossed borders, and is now quite simply out of control.

For example, in 2009, a militia in a “Muslim region” of the Philippines massacred more than fifty people and sexually mutilated 22 of the murdered women. This is a militia acting in the name of Islam; it is not just one lone savage and psychopathic individual.

In 2010, in Afghanistan, nineteen-year-old Bibi Aisha had her nose and ears cut off by her husband because she had run away from him and his family. A Taliban Court handed down this sentence. Vigilante-style misogynist justice is the customary law of the land.

Recently, a woman’s clothing store in Tehran featured female mannequins with their breasts clearly removed, hacked off or filed down, on “orders from the Vice police” as part of the current crackdown on “un-Islamic” or bad hijab practices. This makes perfect, if jarring, sense.

A woman’s physical existence is, by definition, sexual and is therefore considered shameful. Living women must literally be covered up, “disappeared,” rendered invisible, lest their living, breathing, bodies lead men into temptation. Alternatively, where possible, one might want to “practice” eviscerating, mutilating, removing the characteristics that render the female form offensive—perhaps on a dummy, a mannequin, and in a store window.

What comes next? And don’t tell me that destroying the breasts of female mannequins in Tehran is the same as Western women surgically reducing their breasts for cosmetic reasons. The latter is an individual choice, possibly misguided, possibly inspired, and is about making oneself more, not less, sexually attractive. The case of the Tehran mannequin without breasts is an example of a legally mandated non-choice in the service of publicly abolishing one of the biological characteristics of being born female.

It is a public warning.

Such woman-phobia, such woman-hatred, always signifies fear and contempt for the life force itself. Thus, the worship of death, the hatred of life, is at the heart of the existential struggle between Islamist terrorists and Israel and between Islamist terrorists and the West. We can measure the terrorist’s capacity and willingness to mass murder infidels in a Holy war by their capacity and willingness to murder their own women as well as other Muslims.

Do not expect World War Three to be a short war.

Popular social networking site Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg is in trouble now as he is facing serious charges in Pakistan. That means, the 26 year old CEO of Facebook will have to avoid any journey to Pakistan to avoid death penalty.

Zuckerberg is being charged by the Pakistani court under the Pakistani penal code Section 295-C that says, "Use of derogatory remark etc, in respect of the Holy Prophet, whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable for fine."

However, Zuckerberg denied any derogatory remarks against the Prophet. The website was a party to this offence, the court said.

Meanwhile, another Pakistani court has asked the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to ban some ‘blasphemous’ websites like Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, Google, Amazon and Bing.

This is a new twist in Pakistan as it had banned both YouTube and Facebook on similar charges a month before. However, the ban was revoked later.

On two occasions last week my dog was barred from London buses, not because she's particularly fierce or big, but on religious grounds. A friend and I had taken her to the park, and as I went across to the grocer, my friend took Daisy, a Manchester terrier, to the bus stop.

As they tried to board the bus, the driver stopped her and told her that there was a Muslim lady on the bus who "might be upset by the dog". As she attempted to remonstrate, the doors closed and the bus drew away.

When a second bus arrived, she again made to embark, but was stopped again – this time because the driver said he was Muslim. I know that Muslims consider dogs to be unclean, but last time I looked this wasn't a Muslim country and London Transport was a non-denominational organisation.

I'm a Catholic, but I'm hardly likely to start insisting that no divorced people should be allowed on my bus. I have no intention of causing upset with my dog and I wouldn't allow her to brush against anyone who was at pains to avoid her. None the less, I instinctively cavil at this creeping intolerance, masquerading as pious devotion, whatever its origins.

Until the authorities in Western nations stand up against Muslim attacks and provide whatever protection is needed for the victims, Muslim violence will only accelerate and spread.

The teenagers also used a megaphone to shout anti-Semitic slurs during the attack Saturday, Hannover police spokesman Thorsten Schiewe said.

"I don't remember such a dramatic attack in Germany in recent times," said Michael Fuerst, the head of the Jewish community of the state of Lower Saxony.

LAHORE: A landlord based in Okara has allegedly detained at least 43 Christians of a family after his daughter eloped with a Christian boy a few days back.

The landlord has threatened killing all the detainees if the couple is not handed over to him.

One of the relatives of the detained Christians, Irshad Masih, told Daily Times that the detainees were residents of village 11-1/L of Renala Khurd tehsil. He said there are around 10 houses of Christians in a village in the tehsil and the landlord, Muhammad Ashraf, has detained all of them in their houses.

Irshad said Ashraf’s armed guards were manning the area around the detainees’ houses and have warned of burning the people alive in their houses if the family failed to produce the eloped couple. He said the issue developed when his cousin Basharat Masih, who worked as a cook with an army colonel in Rawalpindi quit his job and moved to the village, where he allegedly developed relations with a Muslim girl named Nadia.

Irshad said Nadia’s mother Shahnaz Bibi visited Basharat’s house in the evening of June 21 and told his mother that Nadia had been missing since morning, asking her if she had a clue about Nadia’s whereabouts.

Shahnaz also warned the family that they should expel Basharat from the village or her family would kill him.

Irshad said after this development, they warned Basharat to stay away from the village, and the family had no contact with him since that day.

He said now the whole village had turned against the Christians living in the area, adding that the detainees have been deprived of their telephones and the landlord, Ashraf, was personally receiving the phone calls of the detained Christians.

Irshad said village elders Lambardar Muhammad Jamil, Muhammad Aslam Fauji and Muhammad Akram were also leading the drive against the Christians with Ashraf, and were continuously harassing the relatives to produce the couple or else be ready to see their relatives burnt alive in their own houses.

He said the relatives had approached the police to get an FIR registered and to demand the provision of security, but the police had refused to cooperate, saying it was a religious issue and the Christians should heed Ashraf’s demands.

Irshad told Daily Times that he was also receiving death threats for pursuing the case of his detained relatives.

He said the family had no clue about Basharat or Nadia’s whereabouts and it could not be said for sure if the two were together or not.

Irshad said one of his friends had made him visit a non-government organisation, Community Development Initiative, which had taken him to a court of law for justice.

CDI Executive Director Asif Aqeel and field officer Napolean Qayyum told Daily Times that they had taken the case to the court in order to get a bailiff appointed for securing the detainees’ release.

The case was presented before Renala Khurd District and Sessions Judge Shafiqur Rehman Khan who issued directions to the SHO concerned to produce the detainees on June 25.

Four Christians were arrested and thrown out of a public Arab festival in Michigan – and at least two people claim a crowd cheered "Allahu akbar!" while the Christians were led away in handcuffs for doing nothing more than engaging in peaceful dialogue and videotaping the event.

Nabeel Qureshi, David Wood, Paul Rezkalla and 18-year-old Negeen Mayel attended the 15th annual Dearborn Arab International Festival on June 18 in Dearborn, Mich., where an estimated 30,000 of the city's 98,000 residents are Muslim.

The American Arab Chamber of Commerce announced the event was expected to draw "over 300,000 people from across the country, Canada and the Middle East." The festival covers 14 blocks and is free and open to the public.

Qureshi and Mayel are former Muslims who are now Christians. Mayel's parents emigrated from Afghanistan. Wood is a former atheist. All are from a Christian group called Acts 17 Apologetics.

In the following video after the arrest, Qureshi said his group took "extra precautions" to prevent disruptions by not handing out pamphlets and to speak only to people "who first approached us":

"This was to limit accusations of instigation and disruption," he explained. "We knew people have a tendency to accuse us of being disruptive, of inciting and instigating. So we wanted to make sure we did absolutely nothing of the sort."

Qureshi said people at the festival recognized his group from its visit in 2009. Last year, the Acts 17 Apologetics team was escorted from the grounds while being allegedly assaulted by security personnel and several attendees. The following is the group's footage of the incident:

Here's a typical Muslim reaction to a conviction.  The perp is never guilty, it's all someone else's fault, it's all lies.  The only problem with this sentence is that it wasn't 13 years for EACH of three rapes.

Taxi driver rapist jailed for nine years

Taxi driver Hassan Nagi's rape victims may have found some comfort in his jailing.

But when the moment arrived, the family of the HIV-positive sexual predator hurled abuse at the young women, calling them liars and protesting his innocence.

After Judge James Bennett sentenced the 39-year-old to at least nine years, five months and three days jail for the rape of three female passengers, his elderly mother began yelling at the victims.

And his brother shouted: "It wasn't my brother who dumped her on the street."

Nagi, who pleaded guilty to six counts of sexual intercourse without consent, stood in the dock holding a family photo.

Judge Bennett sentenced him to a maximum 13 years, 10 months and 24 days behind bars for the attacks on the women aged 31, 23 and 27 in 2003, 2006 and 2007.

He said a claim by the defence that Nagi showed signs of "Don Juanism", a psychiatric problem said to be a form of sexual addiction, did not justify his behaviour.

"The offender embarked upon what one might see to be predatory behaviour in the pursuit of sexual gratification at the expense of, and in disregard of, his victims," the judge told Downing Centre District Court on Wednesday.

The court heard during the first attack in July 2003, Nagi picked up the woman from Kings Cross after she had spent the night drinking with friends.

He drove for some time before getting into the back of the taxi with her, unzipping his fly, saying, "You want this, you know you want this", and raping her.

In the second attack in 2006, he picked up another woman in Kings Cross and put his hand underneath her skirt.

When she tried to escape, Nagi said, "Come on baby, you're making me so horny", before raping her and offering her money.

In 2007, the third victim got into his taxi and he took her to an industrial area, where he forced her to perform oral sex and raped her.

Judge Bennett said Nagi had occupied a position of trust as a taxi driver and in the first two attacks he "took advantage of intoxication to pursue his sexual gratification ... at their expense".

In their victim impact statements, all three women described their emotional anguish, each having suffered broken relationships with their partners after the rapes.

Nagi's sentencing had been delayed for over a year while he attempted to challenge the lifting of a non-publication order on his HIV-positive status.

His challenge was rejected by the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal last year and the High Court recently refused to hear his application.

Judge Bennett said his condition could not be considered an aggravating feature of the offences because there was no direct evidence he knew about it or was infected at the time of the attacks.

A positive test result was returned in 2009 after he had pleaded guilty and the victims were then informed.

Outside court, Nagi's mother continued defending her son.

"My son's innocent, my son's very healthy," she yelled.
With time already served, Nagi will be eligible for parole in October 2018.

The persecution and outright killing of Christians by Muslims is happening at an ever increasing pace.  While Islam has always persecuted and demeaned non-Muslims throughout history, the current Jihad is spreading over the entire world, wherever Muslims have enough clout to try their persecutions.  Afghanistan has kept up with their Muslim brothers in the Islamic effort to kill or subjugation of non-Muslims.

Pakistan has incorporated its persecution into law and of course, Saudi Arabia, along with Egypt are leaders in the subjugation of Christians.

Afghan Christians issue plea for help after call for execution

A group of Afghan Christians living in exile in India have issued an “urgent” plea to the international community to help Christians still living in Afghanistan following the recent call for their execution by a government minister.

The letter was issued earlier in the month by a community of 150 Afghan converts now living as refugees in New Delhi because of the threat to their lives in Afghanistan.

In the letter they urge Christians around the world to speak out against the “egregious injustices” and “blatant human rights violations” taking place against Christians in Afghanistan.

“We left our country because we were sentenced to death on the account of our Christian faith … Christians are called pagans and infidels and are sentenced to death by the Afghan Government. Death penalty is waiting for all those who want to leave the darkness and come to true light, repent from their sins, and put their faith on (sic) the Lord Jesus Christ,” they wrote.

The letter is a response to the riots and demonstrations that broke out in Afghanistan last month, after the independent channel Noorin TV aired a documentary revealing the names and faces of supposed Afghan Christian converts.

Protestors called on President Hamid Karzai to arrest and execute the converts and the deputy secretary of the Afghan Parliament’s Lower House, Abdul Sattar Khawasi, made his own call for the execution of Christian converts from Islam.

The group go on to say that they have received reports of Afghan Christians being arrested and having their homes and businesses searched in recent weeks. There have also been reports that authorities are torturing arrested Christians to force them to reveal the names of other Christian converts and the location of underground churches and fellowships.

They stated: “In light of all these events, and the perplexing media silence on these atrocities occurring in plain view of the international community, we are pleading with the Body of Christ around the world to support our Afghan Christian brothers and sisters during this critical time by taking a firm and vocal stand against the severe and devastating wrongs being committed against them by their own government!"

The execution call came just days after two Christian aid groups were suspended after authorities accused them of proselytising. Church World Service and Norwegian Church Aid cannot operate while authorities investigate the claim. Both ministries deny any wrongdoing.

MIDEAST: GAZA,DEPARTURE IRANIAN SHIP POSTPONED TO LATER DATE

Good news that Iran is postponing it's attempt to run the Israeli blockade of the Gaza strip.  However, there is a note in the article that indicates that Iran is planning to send a "hospital" ship to Gaza which would be a major escalation of the propaganda war.  Israel would have no choice but to turn away the ship which would be a major propaganda victory for Iran and Hamas.  The political ramifications would be horrific.

Israel must find some way to stop this ship before it ever gets to the Mediterranean sea.

Early in June, after the bloody Israeli raid on an international flotilla headed for the Gaza Strip, in which nine people were killed, the Iranian Red Crescent announced that it was ready to send two ship to the Palestinian territory. One ship with basic needs and one with volunteers, and the organisation also announced to send a hospital ship at some point in the future. On Monday last week, Iran said that this week one of its ships would weigh anchor, and that the country would send more aid to Turkey, to load it in Istanbul. The departure of the ship, according to Jafarian, has been postponed by "problems with international coordination and a change of the cargo to send" to Gaza. (ANSAmed).

    Saudi Arabia executed two murderers including a Yemeni whose body was nailed to a cross after he was convicted of killing a fellow countryman and his daughter, the interior ministry said on Monday.

    Shaaban al-Nasheri was beheaded for shooting dead Dhayeh al-Manbahi after barging into his family home in the southwestern town of Jazan, the ministry said in a statement cited by the official SPA agency.

    Nasheri was also found guilty of raping and killing Manbahi's daughter before shooting and wounding her sister.

    Following his execution, the murderer's body was nailed to a cross in Jazan.

    In the second case, Saudi national Mohammed al-Zahrani was decapitated in El-Baha, in the southwest, for shooting dead compatriot Said al-Zahrani over a land dispute.

    The beheadings bring to 15 the number of executions reported in the ultra-conservative Gulf monarchy this year, according to an AFP count. In 2009, there were 67 reported executions in the kingdom, compared with 102 in 2008.

    Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death under Saudi Arabia's strict Islamic law. In extreme cases, the convict is executed and his body crucified in public.

    Geert Wilders, who leads the right-wing Party for Freedom (PVV) in Holland, said last week he believes Jordan should be renamed Palestine. The Jordanian government responded by saying Wilders' speech was reminiscent of the Israeli right wing.

    "Jordan is Palestine," said Wilders, who heads the third-largest party in Holland. "Changing its name to Palestine will end the conflict in the Middle East and provide the Palestinians with an alternate homeland."

    Wilders added that Israel deserved a special status in the Dutch government because it was fighting for Jerusalem in its name.

    "If Jerusalem falls into the hands of the Muslims, Athens and Rome will be next. Thus, Jerusalem is the main front protecting the West. It is not a conflict over territory but rather an ideological battle, between the mentality of the liberated West and the ideology of Islamic barbarism," he said.

    There has been an independent Palestinian state since 1946, and it is the kingdom of Jordan." Wilders also called on the Dutch government to refer to Jordan as Palestine and move its embassy to Jerusalem.

    The Saudi Al-Watan carried Jordan's response to Wilders' speech. The kingdom's embassy in Hague was outraged, and said the Dutch ambassador would soon be summoned to explain. Jordan's minister for media affairs and communications, Nabil Al Sharif, asked for clarifications. He described Wilders' declaration as "an echo of the voice of the Israeli Right" and "crows' screams".

    "Jordan is an independent and secure country which supports the Palestinian issue, and these imaginings of finding them an alternate homeland are nothing but the delusions of a few people," he said. The PVV nearly tripled its power in the last election, going from nine parliament seats to 24. The right-wing party, which has called for a ban on minarets and Muslim scarves, has been holding so far unsuccessful negotiations with the liberal Right.

A Christian girl kidnapped in Egypt tells her story. The Arabic-language Free Christian Voice (Sawt al-Masihi al-Hurr) carried this report, entitled "After her return, the young girl of the village of Fanus narrates the details behind the conspiracy to bully her family out of the village," on June 17. It was translated exclusively for Jihad Watch by Raymond Ibrahim.

    The young girl of the village of Fanus exposes the details of the conspiracy prepared for her:

    "As I was returning back to the house, they came upon me and put something on my mouth and stripped off the gold I was wearing. I fell unconscious -- until I found myself on one of the streets of al-Minya [i.e., outside of the village], totally oblivious of what had happened."

    "The village elder gave my kidnapper money."

    "The village elder said to me: 'We think you are too good for the Christian religion... Become Muslim and I will marry you, and sign over to you all my money and property, and provide you with an excellent life.'"

    "The village elder entered our homes and beat us all...and he had people from his extended family of al-Dirabsa who came to the house with a drum in order to carry me in the streets in a wedding procession, saying: 'Look at the Christian who became a Muslim!'"

    "I wish the village elder were judged and jailed, for he tormented us and forced us -- he and those who followed him -- out of our village. And the government is standing by his side, abandoning us."

    The kidnapping of the young girl of the village of Fanus, in the province of Samalut in al-Minya has exposed the various ways and conspiracies undertaken by Muslims in order to coerce young girls to enter into Islam -- after humiliating and degrading them. Based on the role played by the newspaper, The Copts United, which covers these matters and conspiracies, we had the following conversation with the young girl of the village of Fanus, whose name is Zinahum Nadi 'Adli Amin, after she returned [from her kidnapping]:

    Q: Zinahum, how many Christians are in the village of Fanus? How many Muslims?

    A: The village of Fanus has approximately twenty Christian households and six Muslim households. The village elder [sheikh al-'izba] is Muslim.

    Q: That which happened to you, do you call it kidnapping, or did you runaway of your own will?

    A: What happened to me involved a great conspiracy; nor did I imagine such a thing could ever happen to me.

    Q: What was the conspiracy carried out against you? And who planned it?

    A: On Saturday night, we had one of our female relatives over. I went out to get something cold [to drink]. I met four Muslim females from the village and stopped to greet them. As I was returning back to the house, they came upon me and put something on my mouth and stripped off the gold I was wearing. I fell unconscious -- until I found myself on one of the streets of al-Minya [i.e., outside of the village], totally oblivious of what had happened. Then, the world darkened before my face, and I did not know what to do. I was afraid to return home, lest my parents kill me, though what happened was against my will.

    Q: Who kidnapped you? And who planned this conspiracy against you?

    A: The person who kidnapped me is someone called Sayyid Khalif Ahmed 'Abd al-Rahman. The person who planned this conspiracy, I know him well: he is the village elder, Khalif 'Abd al-Majid. He comes from a large family, connected to [the tribe of] al-Dirabsa. He gave Sayyid money to kidnap me and incited many people against me.

    Q: What is your evidence that the village elder plotted this conspiracy against you? And what was the purpose behind your kidnapping?

    A: The purpose of kidnapping me was to force me to enter into Islam.

    Q: How?

    A: When I went to the police department in the morning [to report the kidnapping], the Hajj [Muslim honorific], Khalif, the village elder, came to me and said: "We think you are too good for the Christian religion." He said to me: "Become Muslim and I will marry you, and sign over to you all my money and property, and provide you with an excellent life -- just say before witnesses, 'I want to become Muslim.'" But I refused.

    Q: Did they arrest the youth who kidnapped you?

    A: Yes, they arrested him, but he was released.

    Q: Why?

    A: Because, when I was at the police department, I was unable to focus, due to my being drugged, and they said to me, "Say at the hearing, 'Nobody kidnapped me,'" and I said so. And because of this, he was released and not imprisoned. They wanted me to enter into Islam in any way.

    Q: Were you threatened after you returned to your home?

    A: They are currently furious and enraged because I returned to my family, refusing to become a Muslim. They threaten us and have blockaded our way in the village. None of us ventures outside. My father does not go to his work because he fears stepping outside. The village elder entered our homes and beat us all, cursing us; he beat my father with his slipper [i.e., ultimate humiliation]. He had with him ten cars full of people from his extended family of al-Dirabsa, who came to the house with a drum in order to carry me in the streets in a wedding procession, saying: "Look at the Christian who became a Muslim!" They said to my parents, "We're going to take your daughter no matter what, and afterwards you will never find her!" So, in fear, we abandoned our homes, and went to stay with my grandfather in the village of 'Amira near our village. There, the state security came to my parents and said to them: "Your daughter has become Muslim." Until now, we are not permitted to go out, and we are persecuted...and the village elder wants us to abandon our home. And he has sworn "by the right" [i.e., sworn to Allah], that if we do not quit the village, my family will never see me again. He said: "I will not rest, nor will I know peace, until I see her uncles shorn of their mustaches [i.e., demeaned and emasculated]. Thus they forced us to leave the village. But we will never forget it, and we will try to return to it in any possible way.

    Q: Why did you not report the village elder regarding the fear and terror he caused you?

    A: I wish that man were judged and jailed, for he tormented us, and forced us -- he and those who followed him -- out of our village. He is trying to break my spirit and my family's spirit any which way he can. And the government is standing by his side, abandoning us.

    Q: What do you request now?

    A: I thank the Lord for delivering me from this conspiracy. I ask that human rights [representatives] come and hear our complaint, and know what is happening to us and my family, and to investigate the situation, and that they subject the village elder to a trial, because of what he did to us.

    Q: Did your gold return to you?

    A: Yes, it returned today.

    Q: Do you have a message that you would like to send to young Coptic girls like yourself?

    A: I say to the girls who are like me: I am in great fear over you because of what's happening. What I have seen -- no one has seen. I used to be very open and trusting towards Muslim women, but they were plotting a catastrophe for me behind my back. They drugged me, and I never would have expected that from them.

Israel is being hanged on a public gallows erected on the grounds of the United Nations with yards of rope gleefully supplied by the Muslim world. But the hangmen are mostly Westerners who still think that the Muslim lynch mob at their doorstep can be pacified with the death of a single victim.

There are three things you can do when you are about to be hanged. You can walk proudly, recite a glorious line or two to embed your martyrdom in historical memory, and then allow yourself to be hanged. Jews have an extensive body of experience with that brand of martyrdom.

Alternatively you can plead your case all the way to the gallows, arguing that a mistake has been made, that your case has been improperly reviewed, begging for someone to listen and do something. This way also ends in a hanging. But it's the hanging of a slave without even a shred of dignity attached to it. A man that dies pleading with his murderers, and puts his fate in the honesty of the liars and hypocrites whose own crimes makes the worst of his look like virtues, is a craven fool.

Because there is really only one thing you can do when the noose is being placed around your neck. Resist. A noose works by tightening around your neck and cutting off your air or breaking your neck. If you resist the tightening of the noose, you may actually survive. On the other hand if you follow through all the procedures, if you allow your hands to be tied behind your back, and the noose to be fastened around your neck while trusting in the system to do right by you-- your death is inevitable.

For seventeen years Israel has been walking toward the gallows. Its leaders have led it there by the nose ring of international assurances. Its people have been led there by refusing to see what is waiting ahead for them, even while the blood was being cleaned off the streets. Every attempt to reach a peaceful solution, every concession and show of good faith, has only tightened the bonds around its hands and the noose around its neck.

That is because every concession Israel has made, has further restricted not only its ability to defend itself, but even its ability to do basic things such as build residential housing in the capital of its own nation. Every gesture and agreement Israel has signed has bound it to ever more restrictive terms. And none of them have brought any peace. All they have ever done is set the bar higher for the next round of concessions demanded by the enemy and its aiders and abettors in the next phase of negotiations.

This is not a peace process, and it has never been one. It is a public lynching. It is the lynching of a country whose only real crime is that its existence offends the religious fanaticism and prejudices of a billion Muslims, who control much of the world's oil, and whose followers are willing to riot and kill in the streets of nearly every major city in the world at the slightest offense.

The lynching began as a trial where the murderer wore a fine suit and his victim sat in an orange jumpsuit in the dock. Every day during the trial, the murderer would be allowed to leave the courtroom to kill again. And every afternoon he would return to the courtroom with bloody hands that the judge and jurors would pretend not to see. And if the victim dared to call attention to those bloody hands, he would be silenced and told that those murders too were his fault. Hadn't he after all provoked the murderer into committing them?

Now the trial is coming to a close. The farce that the proceedings ever had anything to do with peace is unraveling. And we can thank Hamas and Obama for that. The endgame is all too clear. The undoing of that "mistake" which allowed the oldest and most persecuted minority in the Middle East to briefly reclaim their homeland from the tyranny of Muslim Caliphs and Sultans. To serve as a homeland for their persecuted brethren from the east and the west. From the south and the north. That mistake.

In a year in which the Iranian regime raped and murdered protesters after a stolen election. In which China and North Korea continue torturing and murdering political dissidents. In which Saudi Arabia and Dubai live off Southeast Asian slave workers. In which Venezuela's Chavez continues shutting down independent media outlets and imprisoning opponents. In which Turkey continues holding thousands of Kurdish political prisoners while occupying Cyprus. In which Russia continues to dismantle democracy and murder journalists. In which Sudan continues perpetuating genocide and the rest of the world nods mournfully but continues on with business as usual. In that year, Israel is the main culprit for such dastardly acts as reportedly assassinating a Hamas terrorist leader in Dubai and intercepting a flotilla providing aid and comfort to Hamas. Every country, including the nations on this list, are rushing forward their condemnations and demands that Israel be held accountable. Accountable for what? For refusing to be lynched.

Every time Israel tries to be accommodating, it instead takes a step closer to the gallows. It allows the noose to be tightened around its neck. And every time that happens, it has to fight harder for air. Eventually if things keep going this way, there will be no air at all. Only a sad forlorn figure swinging in the hot eastern wind from the desert. And cries of Ibtach al Yahood among the rubble of cities and gardens of Jerusalem, Haifa, Tel Aviv and Ariel.

Israel cannot survive by accommodating a lynch mob. Only by having the courage to defy it. When the international community at the behest of the Muslim lynch mob dictates the parameters of Israel's survival, it must expand those parameters by pushing through them to the other side. If they want to recognize terrorists, then we kill those terrorists. If they want to break the Gaza blockade, then we retake Gaza. If they want to unilaterally create a Palestinian state, then we annex those territories. Accommodation is a noose. Defiance is the air of freedom. Every time Israel retreats, it is condemned for it. When it advances, it is condemned for it also, but its freedom of action expands.

The world will always condemn Israel regardless of its intentions. But like any form of namecalling, those condemnations only gain power when Israel allows its actions to be dictated by them. Israel is not condemned because of what Israel does. It is condemned because of a diseased pattern of Islamic bigotry, left wing radicalism and international dhimmism converging in one place. This is a pattern of hate that cannot be undone. It can only be ignored.

When you listen to the threats and taunts of those who hate you, you give them power over yourself. If you try to accommodate your behavior to gain their favor, their outpouring of hate for you will only grow. For it is not your behavior they hate, it is you. By showing weakness, you invite attack. By giving your enemies power over you, all that you accomplish is to drive them into a feeding frenzy at your vulnerability. If you go on this way, you will either be a slave or a corpse. A slave if they have any use for you alive. A corpse if they don't. Either way you have put your head into the noose they made for you.

Israel cannot go on this way. No country could for long. Yet it does, marching on toward the gallows, protesting that there has been a terrible mistake here. But there is no mistake here. None at all. The executioners nod sympathetically and promise to look into it, as they bind his hands behind his back. It's a farce and everyone except the dumbest among the lynch mob, and the condemned knows it.

But like the condemned man refusing a blindfold in the anecdote who's scheduled to be executed, we keep being warned not to make trouble. Go quietly. Breathe deeply. Soon it will all be over. What will the world say, if we resist? Exactly what the world says now. That we're the neighborhood bully. The troublemakers that are the cause of all the troubles of the otherwise peaceful nations of the Middle East. The worm in the lovely healthy apple otherwise covered with Muslim tyrannies.

Every threat that has been made has come about when Israel made concessions, not because it refused to. Every time Israel has chosen the high road, its enemies have ambushed it from the low road. It's past time to wake up and start learning some lessons. The noose is drawn. And the nation is gasping for air. That breath of air was Jerusalem. The next one will be the Galilee. And then what? How many more breaths do we have left before we choke and die?

Before Oslo, Israel was threatened with terror if it did not comply. It complied and the terror increased manifold. And if did not negotiate further, it was threatened with international isolation. It negotiated. It gave. And it was isolated anyway. It was threatened with boycotts, and it gave, and the boycotts came anyway. Now they threaten the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state. Followed by a One State Solution. Followed by international intervention. Noose, gallows and all. And does anyone think that all these will not come about anyway, if Israel gives Abbas and his terrorist cronies their own official state with a capital in Jerusalem?

No compromise has worked until now. Which means no compromise will work. A process in which one side repeatedly compromises and the other side repeatedly threatens and takes, is not a process, but a holdup. If a man threatens you with a gun, then you might think that you can buy him off. Until he returns again and again. And then it is no longer a threat, it is a process. Israel is in that process, or rather it is being processed. At the end of the process is death. If you pay attention only to the gun, and not the pattern of threats, you may keep giving in, until you have given up your home, your wife and your children, and you have nothing left but your life. And then you will lose that as well. That is the nature of the process. To survive, you must not see the gun alone, but the process it is part of.

The last month should have been a final education. A grim testament to the fact that even when Israel withdrew from Gaza, allowed Hamas to control it, and did nothing but prevent Hamas from having outside access, the world is howling as if Israel had filled the country with graves from end to end, as Sudan or Iran or some of the other members and former members of the UN Human Rights Commission have. That is not justice. That is a lynch mob. And what does Netanyahu do in response? Like nearly every Israeli government before him, he backs off on the blockade. Because given that tidbit the lynch mob will be appeased. It will, won't it. Won't it?

We are no longer talking about negotiations. Or any serious discussion of a state. We are talking about the world rising up in one voice to defend the rights of a genocidal organization funded by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad whose charter includes the words; "The Day of Judgment will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdullah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him." The pretense is over and done with. This is not about anything resembling peace. This is about death. This is a lynch mob. Some come willingly. Others think that they have no choice. That a single murder will buy them the tolerance of the Dar Al Islam.

This is what a noose looks like. These are the gallows. As its hands are bound, Israel loses the ability to defend itself. As the noose tightens, Israel dies. Only by resisting the noose, can it survive. Only by fighting to free its hands, can it resist. The way of surrender is the way of death. And after Israel dies, its own hangmen will be next. Because the lynch mob has only begun. Its appetite is whetted by death. Its hunger will only be sharpened by blood, not sated by it. And it will cover the world in blood, if it is not stopped. But now the noose draws tight. Only a little more air is left. What will we do with that air? Appeal for justice, or fight with all our strength to rip the noose away. For now the choice is still ours. When the noose has done it work, it no longer will be.

The reason honour killings occur in Islam is that the practice is mandated in the Qur'an. Verses 18:65-18:81 tell of Moses meeting a man to whom God had given special knowledge. Moses accompanied the man to learn what God had taught him, and when they encountered a youth, the man killed him for no apparent reason. When Moses objected, the man explained that the youth was the son of righteous people and was about to grieve them by entering into insolence and religious infidelity, so he killed him in the hope God would give the couple a better son. According to the Qur'an, Moses clearly accepted this explanation, as he made no further objection. To pre-emptively answer the predictable, "You took this out of context" argument, this story is presented in its entirety without preamble or followup, and is not referred to anywhere else in the Qur'an. Nor can the translation be questioned as the three most trusted translators (Yusuf Ali, Pickthal, and Shakir) tell essentially the same story with different wording.
