It IS about oil

It IS about oil. It's all about oil. But not in the way the lefties and greenies would have you think.

The fact is that the industrial world runs on oil. Every nation must have oil for its survival. It is in each nations self interest to maintain a flow of petroleum, there is nothing wrong with that. That's progress. The price hikes of the past two years have been largely driven by the massive industrial expansion of China and India. For that matter, China has tied up most of international bulk shipping of coal, iron ore and other basic supplies in their surge to become the worlds leading supplier of consumer products.

Industrialization is a one way street, there is no turning back. More and more nations will be coming into the industrial age in the near future, driving the competition for oil even keener. Eventually, nuclear will have to become the major source of energy, but till then, we’re stuck with oil.
