Terrorist Attacks by Country

A great resource. Pass it on. If you, like I, don't have Microsoft Excell, you'll need to download an .xls viewer from Microsoft: here. It's relativly painless but it is another Microsoft viewer.

I want to state the following bits that I have noticed from this year.
1. Since 9-11 62 different countries have had terrorist attacks. This year alone 3 new countries have had terrorist attacks. So far we have had 39 different countries identified with terrorist attacks via www.thereligionofpeace.com http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/
Last year we had 42 different countries. This does not count riots and Personal Property Destruction that has happened this year in France and several other EU countries in the past year. Nor does it cover death threats to Politicians in many different countries. These are could also be considered attacks of terrorism. Lebanon has been facing this problem for the past two years.
2. I have added a new section in Summary that covers the Deaths per country for the year. It is one thing to look at attacks it is a different picture when you look at deaths. Chad who had only one attack killed estimated 200 people. We never had a final answer on that one. But a close look at Pakistan, Lebanon, Somalia, and Pal. Auth shows trends in deaths rising. Is it the US fault for all of this. I doubt it.
3. As always the trend of Terrorist attacks world wide average per month has more than doubled since 2003. And this is taking Iraq and Afghanistan numbers out of the mix. The numbers are growing. My averages on this spread sheet are an average over 12 months and we have two more months to go before we get the true number. But 110 attacks average for the year. Every 12 attacks in other countries means this number will increase by one. Best estimate is that the average will be between 125 and 140 attacks per month. Depends on how much activity by terrorists takes place.
