Saudi Arabia: Religious police ban red roses
Once again the Saudi's demonstrate their total disdain for anything speaking of love or friendship or humanity. It seems to be built into Islam that no one may express anything but hatred and animosity. BTW, the Pakistanis must be going ballistic (as they do every year) over Valentine's Day.
This has got me thinking, just what is “family" life like in Islamic countries? Does hubby come home to his four wives and say good to be home, No.1, No. 2, No.3, No.4. Does he warmly embrace each of his wives and ask “what’s for dinner dear, dear, dear, dear?”, and how are the kids, kids, kids, kids?. Is there any expression of tenderness and affection between men and their wives, who after all are only worth half a man? Maybe that’s why Allah allows men four wives, that makes two regular women in the rest of the world. On the bright side, housework is only 1/4 the workload for a four woman harem, and since they can’t go out, there’s plenty of time to make that perfect falafel.
Islam and the West are incompatible. Kipling saw that a long time ago: East is East and West is West and never the twain shall meet.

"They visited us last night," the Saudi Gazette quoted an unidentified florist as saying.
It is not unusual for the Saudi vice squad to clamp down ahead of Valentine's Day, which it sees as encouraging relations between men and women outside of wedlock, the newspaper said....
