Right now you are infidels

What we are seeing here is a history lesson.  The lesson is that this is the way Islam has primarily been spread for 1,400 years.  Very few people freely choose to become Muslims.  The vast majority of new Muslims always have been created through threats of death.

Islamic State militants have released a video showing hundreds of Iraq's Yazidi sect converting to Islam to avoid execution.

The footage was posted online not long after the group on Tuesday released a video showing one of its black-clad fighters beheading American journalist James Foley.

The extremist group took the Yazidis hostage after storming their villages and giving them a simple choice to convert to Islam or die as they seek to carve out an Islamic state.

In the video, which the group called 'Hundreds of Yazidis convert to Islam', the militants give no indication of the bloodshed that prompted tens of thousands of people to flee.

The instead say they are misunderstood as they sit on a wall in Mount Sinjar, the ancient homeland of the Yazidis.

Witnesses earlier said residents who dared to stay hung white flags on the homes to show their complete surrender to the Islamic State, which has declared a caliphate in parts of Iraq and Syria it controls and threatened to march on Baghdad.
