Islam's Trojan Horse, and what to do about it

Hugh Fitzgerald once again points the spotlight at one of the most pressing and insidious problems faces by the west: the infiltration by Islam.

A reply by a reader says: During the Cold War, persons seeking to emigrate, seeking citizenship, or seeking employment in government were asked: "Are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?" It may perhaps have been somewhat naive to expect an honest answer from someone who was, but it at least laid down a standard that we were trying to keep such persons from becoming Trojan Horses in our government and in our polity. Today, we have imposed laws upon ourselves that would prohibit the asking of such a question as "Are you now, or have you ever been, a Muslim?" Until we have gotten to the point where we can ask such questions, we will continue to have problems such as this. Put this another way. Most jihadists have no prior criminal record, but do have a background of non-stop religious training since youth that jihad is the highest good to which a person can aspire.
Words of wisdom all around.

Fitzgerald: Islam's Trojan Horse, and what to do about it
Islam's Trojan Horse is also to be seen in the Pentagon. There are within it American generals who have their Muslim aides. There are Saudi generals -- you know, the kind who have never held a rifle in their lives, but are connected to the Al-Saud and thus to the arms buying that is the only way, or the easiest way, the Americans can think of to recycle those petrodollars.
The Trojan Horse can be seen in Congress, where Ellison (of Minnesota) and Meeks (of New York) and Eddie Johnson (of Texas) introduced and got passed a resolution to get the members of Congress to "commend" the world's "1.5 billion" (!) Muslims for their celebration of Ramadan, phrasing the thing so that some Congressmen, if it came to a vote (it is now in committee) would undoubtedly simply sign it, thinking its easier to do so rather than not, and of course what's the harm in praising, they will think, the "celebration of Ramadan"?
