Recruiting Refugees to Spy
This is astounding. In Germany, a Sudanese immigrant spied on his fellow Sudanese for the Sudan embassy for 14 months. This guy had been in Germany (legally I suppose) since 1993, 14 years. He's only accused of spying for 14 months, which is probably all the government knows about. Or maybe he was a "sleeper" and not just activated till 2006.
The reported $155.00 per month he was paid sounds pretty low to me for the kind of work he was doing. I guess he was just a cheap and expendable asset for the Sudanese embassy, which may indicate many low-level agents. I'd almost bet he's been on "the dole" for most of his stay in Germany, which is pretty handy because that would free up his time to spy.
Getting a Western nation to support immigrants planted as spies has got to be one of the greatest Islamic scams going today.
This of course raises the question: how many low-level "immigrants" are out collecting intelligence for their various governments and/or terrorist organizations.

Recruiting Refugees to Spy
May 5, 2008:
In Germany, a Sudanese immigrant (since 1993) admitted in court that he served as a spy for the Sudan embassy, from August 2006 until his arrest in October 2007. He was paid $155 a month to collect information (including video) on Sudanese refugees that were organizing anti-Sudan demonstrations and media events. The accused often pretended to be a photo-journalist. It's common for dictatorships to hire, or coerce, some exiles to spy on the others.
