Terrorist released from Guantanamo Bay

Here's another argument for life-and-a-day prison sentences for convicted Islamic terrorists.  And that's only for those not killing anyone while committing their attacks.  For those killing anyone during an attack, the death sentence is the proper consequence.  The West must come to understand that we are not dealing with common criminals but hardened, dedicated and fanatical Islamists who can never be rehabilitated.  There desire is to die in the furtherance of Islam.

Those sentenced to lifetime confinement must be kept in isolation from the rest of the world to prevent them from communicating with their brethren on the outside and recruiting others from within prison.  Those contemplating terrorist attacks must know with full certainty that they will essentially be swallowed up into a black hole for the rest of their lives.  Thos who kill in the commission of their acts must know that they will receive the death penalty quickly and certainly upon conviction.

A video allegedly showing Mohamed Al Alami's funeral was posted online last week

A former Guantanamo Bay prisoner who fought against British and US forces in Afghanistan has been killed while fighting for Al Qaeda in Syria.

Mohammed Al Alami was released from the top-security detention centre in 2006 after convincing officials that he was no longer a threat to the West.

The 37-year-old, who spent four years in custody, claimed he confessed to being a terrorist only after being beaten and threatened with death.

But it has now been revealed that he was killed last month while fighting for Al Nusra Front, one of the most violent and ruthless Islamic groups in Syria.
