UN Urged to Tell Vatican to Stop Opposing Abortion

This is interesting beacuse while it exposes the UN's attempt to belittle the Catholic religion's opposition to abortion, it has not a word to say about Islam's equally adamant stand against abortion.  Of course, any mention of Islam other than in glowing worshipful tones is considered an insult and excuse to punish the kaffar.

The Vatican's blanket opposition to abortion could amount to torture as it prevents at-risk women from ending their pregnancies, a United Nations committee has heard.

Now the committee is considering urging the Holy See to change centuries of teaching.

But the move has caused outrage and claims that the U.N. is involved in a systematic campaign to undermine Roman Catholic dogma.

The attack came from the pro-abortion Center for Reproductive Rights, which told the U.N.'s Committee Against Torture that "freedom of speech and of religion" does not give the church the right to campaign against all abortions, CNS News reports.
