ISIL Imposes Sharia Law

Anyone who ever for even a second thought Iraq (or any Islamic country)could impliment anything even close to a Western democratic government is a fool or a tool.  Islam has never recognized Western values and neverf will.  And nothing will ever interfere with or be able to quell the 1,400 year old war between Suni and Shia as we see in Iraq. Islam must be kept out of the Wstern world and contained in it's own world of constant conflict and turmoil.

ISIL To Implement Shari'a Law In Areas Under Its Control

The Islamic State Of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) says it will start implementing strict Shari'a law in Mosul and other areas of Iraq it has overrun.

The Al-Qaeda splinter group said residents of the city should attend daily prayers and women should stay indoors to preserve "decency." It warned it would cut off the hands of thieves, and said soldiers and policemen should "repent" or "face death."

It said it seized up to half a billion dollars from the Mosul branch of the Bank of Iraq but that it can be trusted with the funds.

ISIL controls swathes of territory in northern, central and western Iraq.

The group also controls territory in northeastern Syria and has vowed to establish an Islamic state on both sides of the border.

Earlier on June 12, the Iraqi parliament has postponed an emergency session to discuss whether to impose a state of emergency as Sunni rebels push forward with an offensive.

The session was delayed due to a lack of a quorum.

Most of those boycotting the session were from Sunni and Kurdish factions, who oppose giving extraordinary powers to Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.

On June 11, fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), an Al-Qaeda offshoot, took control of Tikrit, one day after seizing control of Mosul and abducting 80 Turkish nationals.

They say their next target is Baghdad itself.
