What does the Religion of Peace Teach About..Apostasy

What does the Religion of Peace Teach About..Apostasy

FROM THERELIGIONOFPIECE.COM:

Question:
Does Islam proscribe death for the Muslim who converts to another religion?

Summary Answer:
Those who turn their back on Islam are to be put to death. This is confirmed by the words and deeds of Muhammad. The only freedom of belief in Islam is the freedom to become Muslim.

From the Qur'an:
Qur'an (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them"

From the Hadith:
The reason why executing apostates has always been well-ensconced in Islamic law is that there is an indisputable record of Muhammad and his companions doing exactly that.

Bukhari (52:260) - "...The Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "

Turkish apostate of Islam in Germany

A very brave young woman in Germany has gone public as she has left Islam. Leaving Islam is by Sharia law, a killing offense. Hopefully the German government will provide her with adequate protection from her family and Muslim community.

Turkish apostate of Islam in Germany

Here is a nice little film clip from what I believe is a German TV woman’s network about a girl who left her religious Turkish Muslim family and integrated into greater German society. Personally, I wouldn’t sell her life insurance if I was Lloyd’s of London. But she has a great attitude anyway.

Thank you to StopSHARIAlawNOW for sending me this video and to Jscivias for the translation. Any errors are mine and mine alone.

Shaming the Shameless Apologists of Islam: Apostasy in Islam

Secret Iranian execution: Iran legislated death for apostasy

Here's a look at just what apostasy means under Islam.

FROM ISLAMWATCH.ORG:

Shaming the Shameless Apologists of Islam: Apostasy in Islam
by Ibrahim Lone

We at Islam-watch have taken it upon ourselves to reveal the truth about Islam to Non-Muslims as well as those Muslims who are mistaken about their religious beliefs. Yet we find countless apologists in the face of massive evidences to deny bare facts about Islam which have been recorded in the countess traditions of Islam. These traditions come to us mostly from the Authentic sources which were reported by either the Prophet Muhammad, the Sahabas (Muhammad's companions) etc. For any Muslim to deny these sources is the equivalent of denying Islam. Hence I address this series of articles to shaming those shameless apologists who love telling lies while they reveal their real intents.
Today we shall be discussing Apostasy in Islam in depth. We shall be seeing the Fatwas by various schools of thought both Sunni as well as Shia.

What does Apostasy mean in Islam?
Apostasy is commonly defined as the rejection of Islam in word or deed by a person who has ever been a Muslim. This includes those born into Islam as well as those who are converts. There are no exceptions at all.
The four major Sunni Madh’hab (schools of Islamic Jurisprudence) and the Twelve Shi’a Jafari Madh’hab agree that any sane adult male apostate must be executed. However they differ on the punishment for a female apostate-while some schools call for death, there are others which call for imprisonment. The jurist Al-Shafi’i , after whom the Shfi’i sect was formed, interpreted Qu'ranic verse 2:217 as providing the main evidence for apostasy being a capital crime in Islam.
A minority of medieval Islamic jurists, such as Hanafi jurist Saakshi, Maliki jurist Abu al-walid Al-Baji and Ibn Taymiyya And the Shi’a Grand Ayotollah Hoseein-Ali Motantazi Argued that issuing fatwas issued for the purpose of the execution of Apostates was not valid. However these opinions are in a negligible minority.

What constitutes apostasy in Islam?
Apostasy is not a small issue in Islam. Over the years Islamic Jurisprudents developed a system to identify an Apostate. Let us go through the various conditions which render a person as an Apostate.

A Somali Christian has paid the ultimate price for his faith.

Another Christian murdered by enraged muslims. Once again Mohammed's order to kill apostates has been carried out. But of course, there is "no compulsion" of religion, if you don't mind being killed for leaving islam.

FROM ONENEWSNOW,COM:

A Somali Christian has paid the ultimate price for his faith.

Hussein, the 28-year-old victim, had converted from the Muslim faith to Christianity. Jonathan Racho of International Christian Concern says he was confronted by Islamic extremists who demanded to know if he faces Mecca when he prays, which is required of Muslims.

"Hussein says he doesn't face Mecca when he prays because his God is omnipresent and he can face anywhere to pray," Racho recounts the incident. "[T]he extremists were very much enraged by his comments, and they killed him."

Upon learning that her husband had been shot to death, Hussein's wife went into premature labor and delivered a stillborn baby.

Hussein had been working as a teacher and was described as extremely successful in evangelizing the community.

Egypt: Islamic scholars reaffirm death penalty for apostasy

These is our good friends and allies, the Egyptians. Like the Saudis, they take our aid money and give us radical Islam in return. It’s time to cut off the aid to all Islamic countries. They just use it to further their own dictatorial regimes.

Egypt: Islamic scholars reaffirm death penalty for apostasy
Islamic Tolerance Alert: "Islamic Sharia Scholars Call for Applying Apostasy Punishment and Enacting a Law Criminalizing Inter-Faith Marriages," by Ahmed al-Beheri for Almasry Alyoum (thanks to Suzy):
Some participants in the symposium on 'Apostasy Punishment: Problems and Answers', called for the need to enact a law banning and criminalizing inter-faith marriage to overcome the problems that could occur between Muslims and Copts as a result of this marriage.
In his speech at the symposium organized by the cultural committee of the Syndicate of Journalists the day before last, Dr Mohamed Kamal Imam, Professor and Chairman of the Islamic Sharia Department at the Faculty of Law of the University of Alexandria, said why do not we pass a law expressly prohibiting marriage between followers of different faiths, especially in Egypt, so that to eliminate the problems that could occur because of this marriage and set off tension between Muslims and Christians.
