Wise and brave words from the editor of Jyllands-Posten, Flemming Rose. Here he points out the aggressive assaults on Western society by Islamists, and the West's seemingly cluelesness and cowardice in the face of Islamic Jihad.

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) member-states at the Durban II gathering in Geneva is pushing for "a new world order" that would expand and impose "nondemocratic and illiberal values on the West," says the Danish editor who in 2005 commissioned and published a series of cartoons, one of which depicted the prophet Muhammad with a bomb in his turban that led to worldwide Muslim rioting.

Flemming Rose, editor of Jyllands-Posten, Denmark's largest-circulation newspaper, is visiting Israel under the auspices of the Hebrew University's Shasha Center for Strategic Studies, headed by former Mossad director Efraim Halevy. He's here to lecture on how nations need to find the right balance between religious sensitivities and freedom of expression.

Rose says the OIC is trying to use Durban II to rewrite the rules of human rights and international law in a way that undermines the values of liberty enshrined in the Western canon - including the US Bill of Rights, the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
It's all part of an ongoing Muslim campaign that has been making significant strides, says Rose.

European liberal values, which dominated United Nations voting following the fall of the Soviet Union, are now in retreat. Muslim states attending Durban II are pushing the conference to say that criticizing Islam is a form of incitement.
"We're seeing an erosion of support in the West for freedom of expression in the guise of preventing incitement against Islam," says Rose.
He wants the West to stop being so defensive, pointing out that "Muslims in Demark enjoy far more civil and political rights than they would have in their home countries."
Rose would distinguish between criticizing Islam as a theological and political idea and insulting its adherents.

Muslims attacking Jews all over Europe

Here's an overview of Islamist rioting and attacks against the Jew that is taking place throughout Europe. Looking back over the past ten years or so one can see an ever escalating wave of Muslim rioting in Europe, with each wave becoming more widespread, more violent and longer lasting. The reasons for such rioting are as varied as the reasons for Muslims to be "insulted", which is limitless. Which leads to the question: at what point will there be a general violent uprising of Muslims throughout Europe and how will that end?

Somehow, someway, and pretty damn soon, Muslim immigration into the West must be stopped, and those Muslims already embedded into Western society, need to be excluded from political activities to preserve the separation of Church and State. The Islamic theological way of life and Western secular civilization cannot coexist in an equal relationship as it is a basic tenet of Islam that Islam must dominate the world.

Giving Islam anything is giving Islam everything.

Ultimately, the West must contain the Great Jihad similarly to the way the West contained the Soviet Union.

Muslims attacking Jews all over Europe

Of course AP didn't say that. Many of these incidents happened in passive voice. As for the rest, the perpetrators, according to AP, were these: "Assailants." "Someone." "A 27-year-old Dane born in Lebanon to Palestinian parents." And "a gang of 15-20 youths." Yet oddly enough, France's interior minister met with Muslim as well as Jewish leaders. Now, why was that? What do Muslims have to do with these assailants, this Dane, and this gang of youths?
In a story like this, the truth can't help but come out, in spite of the PC mainstream media's best attempts to ignore or deny it.

Eurabia Update: "Fears mount of Gaza conflict spill over in Europe," by John Leicester for Associated Press , January 6 (thanks to all who sent this in, and who sent in stories about these individual attacks over the last two days while I have been on the road):

PARIS – Government officials and Jewish leaders are concerned the conflict in Gaza may spill over into violence in Europe, with attacks reported against Jews and synagogues in France, Sweden and Britain.
Assailants rammed a burning car into the gates of a synagogue in Toulouse, in southwest France, Monday night.

A Jewish congregation in Helsingborg, in southern Sweden, was attacked Monday night by someone who "broke a window and threw in something that was burning," said police spokesman Leif Nilsson. And on Sunday slogans, including "murderers ... You broke the cease-fire," were daubed on Israel's Embassy in Stockholm.

In Denmark, a 27-year-old Dane born in Lebanon to Palestinian parents is alleged to have injured two young Israelis last week in a shooting police suspect could be linked to the Gaza crisis. Belgium ordered police in Antwerp and Brussels to be on increased state of alert Tuesday after recent pro-Palestinian protests ended in violence and arrests.

France has Western Europe's largest Jewish and Muslim communities and a history of anti-Semitic violence flaring when tensions in the Middle East are high. In 2002, some 2,300 Jews left France for Israel because they felt unsafe. Even in normal times, anti-Semitic incidents are not uncommon.
President Nicolas Sarkozy warned in a statement Tuesday that France would not tolerate violence linked to the Gaza crisis. A day earlier, his interior minister said she was concerned about the prospect of contagion and met with the heads of the two main Muslim and Jewish groups and police officials to stress the need to "preserve national unity."

Jews in the small Strasbourg suburb of Lingolsheim in eastern France woke up Tuesday to find graffiti with words like "assassins" spray-painted on the outside walls of their synagogue. The community filed a complaint for "degradation of a place of worship," the mayor's office said.

Damage to the synagogue in Toulouse was limited to a blackened gate. Police said unlighted gasoline bombs were found in a car nearby and in the synagogue's yard. A local Jewish leader, Armand Partouche, said he believed the assailants fled when the building's alarm went off....

Here it comes, the ritual condemnation:
French Muslim leader Mohammed Moussaoui condemned the attack, saying no motive could justify an assault on any place of worship....

AP apparently did not ask Mohammed Moussaoui what measures the Muslim community in France was taking to make sure that such attacks would not happen in the future, and that antisemitism did not spread among Muslims in France.

As German journalist Henryk Broder put it after the 2006 riots over the Danish cartoons of Muhammad: "Objectively speaking, the cartoon controversy was a tempest in a teacup. But subjectively it was a show of strength and, in the context of the 'clash of civilizations,' a dress rehearsal for the real thing. The Muslims demonstrated how quickly and effectively they can mobilize the masses, and the free West showed that it has nothing to counter the offensive -- nothing but fear, cowardice and an overriding concern about the balance of trade. Now the Islamists know that they are dealing with a paper tiger whose roar is nothing but a tape recording."

In 2008, three years after the cartoons were first published, the matter is still very much alive in the minds of many Muslims. More than 200 lawmakers shouted "Death to the enemies of Islam" during an angry demonstration outside the Afghan parliament, protesting the reprinting of the cartoons in Denmark and the release of the Islam-critical film Fitna by the Dutch politician Wilders. At the same time, Danish aid is helping schools to re-open in Afghanistan, even though critics say the curriculum is based on fundamentalist Islam. A campaign to boycott Danish and Dutch products was launched in Jordan. The campaign will include ads in newspapers and on radio and television that urge consumers to avoid buying named goods. The organisation, "The Messenger of Allah Unites Us," have produced t-shirts, bumper stickers and posters with the campaign logo "Live without it."

This sums up what Islam has in store for citizens of the West. If you have a shred of self respect, if you care in the least about your children and grandchildren, then you must find some way to fight the Islamic tide that is sweeping over the West.

In a February 26, 2008 article in the Arab liberal e-journal Elaph, Libyan-European liberal thinker and entrepreneur Muhammad 'Abd Al-Muttalib Al-Houni wrote that the recent statements by Archbishop of Canterbury Dr. Rowan Williams on implementing shari'a law in Britain constituted dangerous encouragement to fundamentalists in their war against the Enlightenment. He added that such statements could have very grave repercussions for the struggle for freedom in Muslim countries as well.
The following are excerpts from Al-Houni's article:

"Also, European countries seeking to implement shari'a would need to submit their reservations regarding any international conventions they may have signed. This is because they will have to:
"1) Permit polygamy for European Muslim citizens, and not punish them for it - [even though] this is considered criminal under European law;
"2) Permit European Muslim citizens to beat their wives to discipline them, as the Koran urges;
"3) Allow men to unilaterally decide to divorce without requiring any court proceedings, as this is a right guaranteed [to men] by shari'a;
"4) Give daughters [only] half the inheritance rights that sons have, while widows receive only an eighth of the inheritance;
"5) [Not] consider women's testimony the equal of men's in shari'a courts;
"6) Deprive a divorced woman of custody of her children if she remarries;
"7) Allow European Muslim citizens to marry in traditional marriages without the need to officially register these marriages;
"8) Eliminate adoption, since it is contrary to shari'a;
"9) Force a woman whose Muslim husband converts to another religion to divorce him, because he is an apostate;
"10) Prevent European Muslim women from marrying non-Muslims…"
Adopting Shari'a Would Undermine the Concept of Citizenship
"If [Archbishop Rowan's] intention is to introduce some or all of these laws from Islamic shari'a into Europe's legal systems, it would mean the following:
"1) The concept of citizenship in Europe will change. There will be [different] classes of citizenship and of citizens, with some citizens being exempt from having the general law applied to them because they belong to a particular religion or belief. There will be a Muslim [class of] citizen, a Christian [class of] citizen, a Buddhist [class of] citizen, a Confucian [class of] citizen, and so on. Each will apply his own laws... Thus, faith will not be an individual freedom or belief; it will [come to] have extremely serious public ramifications.
"2) If some or all of these laws were implemented and recognized by European legislative bodies, it would not only seriously damage human rights legislation - it would spell the end [of this legislation]. This is because everything I mentioned above is a negation of human rights principles.
"3) Recognizing all, or [even] some, of these laws would take European societies back to the age before the Enlightenment and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. As a result, the West would revert to barbarism."
Is the Anglican Church a Partner in Fundamentalism?
"While I maintain that the European countries will never accede to these catastrophic demands - for reasons more practical than humanist - the fact that they were proposed by the British archbishop sends the wrong message to the Islamic world. The gist of this message is that there is no contradiction between Islamic shari'a and Western civilization if [shari'a] applies [only] for Muslim citizens.

"The Islamic world has been suffering from fundamentalist attacks on what is left of secular society in their countries. These fundamentalists want to implement a shari'a law that contravenes human rights, taking as their model and inspiration the seventh-century state [established by] the Prophet Muhammad in Medina.
"At present, these [fundamentalists] are picking fights with the secularists in Islamic countries, and their attitude is: 'How can you oppose shari'a law in your own countries when we see that the Anglican Church is seeking its implementation in Europe?
"This message is wrong, and it is detrimental to all pleas for modernism and secularism in the Islamic world. Such [pleas] are weak enough as it is, overpowered as they are by the tsunami of Islamist extremists who accuse [those who voice] them of subordination [to the West], treason, and heresy. Such statements by some Anglican clerics are nothing less than support for the ideas of Islamist extremists, and are also an attempt to make fundamentalist religious thought triumph over secular thought in the Islamic countries.

Flight or fight, is Europe lost?

Native white Europeans fleeing a Europe that is being over run by Muslims and destroyed from within by the various governments. With this, factor into the declining birth rate of white Europeans and the runaway birth rate of Muslims and the end of Western civilization in Europe is over. Flight or fight, is Europe lost?

I’ve been reading a lot lately about what appears to be an exodus from Europe by non-Muslims.
They seem to be fleeing in the face of increasing adamance from Europe’s growing Muslim population that the nations of Europe submit to the fundamentalist Islamic will.
That the non-Muslims are leaving tells me they don’t wish to become Muslim or live under Islamic rule. But it also tells me that there’s a pervasive unwillingness to stand up for their right to live as they choose over there. And that wasn’t always the case.
No matter what blame some national leaders place on themselves for their Muslim immigrants not having assimilated, the population knows better. They know the Muslims have no desire to become European. They want Europe to become Muslim.
That’s the plan, and it’s working.
The most frightening and tragic part of what is fast becoming a terrible and possibly irreparable situation, is witnessing Western civilization slink away with its proverbial tail between its legs.
