America Speaks! Historic 911 Rally Draws 40,000

FROM ATLASSHRUGS:
America Speaks! Historic 911 Rally Draws 40,000

Media pretends these people don't exist. It's criminal.

Tens of thousands descended upon Ground Zero today to remember those we lost nine years ago, and to save the American principles of freedom that the sharia tramples.

Crickets are chirping in taqiya media newsrooms nationwide (although they were all there). There has been no coverage.

We organized a rally of remembrance that dwarfed the opposition. If the America haters had 4,000, we had ten times more. The media is playing the dueling rallies; it was no such thing.

Free people came from all over the country and all over the world to stand in solidarity with the 911 families and to declare our iron determination that no victory mosque will be built on their graves. The crowd was young and old, black and white ........ politics of all stripes. The crowd was beautiful. The crowd was proud and good and decent America. All the speakers were excellent. Rousing.

But the highlights included Geert Wilders, who was greeted as the great hero that he is, and spoke about how a sharia mosque at Ground Zero would be the death New York's proud tradition of Dutch tolerance.

Ambassador John Bolton spoke bluntly and unequivocally via video link about the affront to American values that this mosque would constitute.

Other powerful voices included Joseph Nasralla, who was the unwilling media darling o
f our June 6th rally, when a misunderstanding was blown out of proportion by the mainstream media as a racist incident. Joseph Nasralla was the Arab who was supposedly in a confrontation at that rally. At this rally we were proud to feature him, and he was so passionate and rousing in his love for America and fierce denunciation of the thousand-year-old Islamic oppression of the Coptic Christians in Egypt that the crowd went wild as Joseph led them in cheers of Gd Bless America!

But his warning was clear. The Ground Zero mosque would be the beginning of the end and Egypt shows where the presence of Islam leads in a free nation.

Steve Malzberg and Mike Gallagher were greeted by huge cheers. It was an historic day in American history. Here is the first of El Marco's peerless coverage. More pictures and video will be going up continuously. So check back. And El Marco  and Pamela Hall will have the definitive post tomorrow (hopefully).

Geert Wilders Speech at the 911 Rally of Remembrance

FROM ATLASSHRUGS:
Geert Wilders Speech at the 911 Rally of Remembrance

Coverage of our rally is coming. The media is ignoring this historic event. Hundreds of newspeople there, no coverage, But here is the text of Geert Wilders speech that he made before forty thousand in New York today. He addressed the cheering crowds:

    Dear friends,
May I ask you to be silent for ten seconds? Just be silent and listen. Ten seconds. And listen…

What we hear are the sounds of life in the greatest city on earth. No place in the world, no place in human history, is as richly varied and vibrant and dynamic as New York City.

You hear the cars, you hear the people, you hear them rushing to their various destinations, you hear the sounds of business and of pleasure, you hear the cheers, you hear the cries, the buzzing sounds of human activity. And that is how it should be. Always.

Now close your eyes – I know it’s a beautiful day, but close your eyes. I have been told that this day nine years ago was just such a beautiful day -- and remember, or try to remember, or try to imagine the sounds which were heard here on this spot under this same blue sky exactly nine years ago.

The sound of shock, the sound of destruction, the sound of panic, the sound of pain, the sound of terror.

Did New York deserve this? Did America deserve this? Did the West deserve this?

What, my friends, would you say to people who argue that New York, that America, that the West had itself to blame for those horrible sounds? There are people in this city who argue this. And they are angry because we are gathered here today to commemorate, to make a stand, to draw the line.

My friends, I have come from the other side of the Atlantic to share your grief for those who died here nine years ago.

I have not forgotten how I felt that day.

The scenes are imprinted on my soul, as they are on yours.

But our hearts were not broken in the same way as the hearts of the relatives and friends of those who lost their lives here. Many relatives of the victims are here in our midst today. I wish to take this opportunity to express my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to them and to all of the people of New York and America.

Humbly, I stand here before you as a Dutchman and a European.

    I, too, however, cannot forget.

    How can anyone forget?

Let me remind you of the words from Darryl Worley’s 9/11 song.

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?

To see your homeland under fire

    And her people blown away

Have you forgotten when those towers fell?

We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell

Worley’s response is our response: No, we will NEVER forget.

We are here today because we have not forgotten all the loved ones that were lost and those left to carry on. And neither has the world.

When the forces of Jihad attacked New York, they attacked the world.

Among those lost were people from 55 nations, people of every religion and every persuasion. No place on earth had a more multi-ethnic, multi-racial, and multi-lingual workforce than New York’s proud towers.

That is exactly why they were targeted. They constituted an insult to those who hold that there can be no peaceful cooperation among people and nations without submission to Sharia; to those who wish to impose the legal system of Islam on the rest of us.

But New York and Sharia are incompatible. New York stands for freedom, openness and tolerance.

New York’s Mayor recently said that New York is “rooted in Dutch tolerance.” Those are true words. New York is not intolerant. How can it be? New York is open to the world.

Suppose New York were intolerant. Suppose it only allowed people of one persuasion within its walls.

Then it would be like Mecca, a city without freedom.

Whatever your religion, persuasion or gender is, in New York you will find a home. In Mecca, if your religion isn’t Islam, you are not welcome.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf claims the right to build a mosque, a house of Sharia here – on this hallowed ground.

But, friends, I have not forgotten and neither have you. That is why we are here today. To draw the line. Here, on this sacred spot. We are here in the spirit of America’s founding fathers. We are here in the spirit of freedom. We are here in the spirit of Abraham Lincoln, the President who freed the slaves.

President Lincoln  said: “Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves.”

These words are the key to our survival. The tolerance that is crucial to our freedom requires a line of defense.

Mayor Bloomberg uses tolerance as an argument to allow Imam Rauf and his sponsors to build their so-called Cordoba Mosque.

Mayor Bloomberg forgets, however, that openness cannot be open-ended. A tolerant society is not a suicidal society.

It must defend itself against the powers of darkness, the force of hatred and the blight of ignorance. It cannot tolerate the intolerant – and survive.

This means that we must not give a free hand to those who want to subjugate us.

An overwhelming majority of Americans is opposed to building this mosque. So is an overwhelming majority everywhere in the non-Islamic world.
Because we all realize what is at stake here. We know what this so-called Cordoba mosque really means.

Imam Rauf maintains that American secular law and Sharia law are based on the same principles. He refuses to condemn terrorists because he says terrorism is “a very complex question”.

He says America is “an accessory to the crime that happened on 9/11.” “In fact,” he literally said, “in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the USA.”

He also says that “terrorism will only end when the West acknowledges the harm it has done to Muslims.”

That is why this man should not play the game he has in mind here in Manhattan. His “Blame the West, Blame America”-message is an insult. Americans – and by extension, all of us whose civilization was also attacked on 9/11/2001 – are not to blame for what happened here nine years ago today.

Osama bin Laden is not made in the USA. The West never “harmed” Islam before it harmed us.

Most Americans  do not want this so-called Cordoba Mosque to be built here. They understand that it is both a provocation and a humiliation. They understand the triumphant narrative of a mosque named after the Great Mosque of Cordoba which was constructed where a Christian cathedral stood before the land was conquered by Islam.

An overwhelming majority of Americans is opposed to building an Islamic cultural center close to Ground Zero. There is no lack of mosques in New York. There are dozens of buildings in which Muslims can pray. It isn’t about a lack of space for prayers. It’s about the symbolic meaning.

We who have come to speak today, object to this mosque project because its promoter and his wealthy sponsors have never suggested building a center to promote tolerance and interfaith understanding where it is really needed: In Mecca – a town where non-Muslims are not even allowed to enter, let alone build churches, synagogues, temples or community centers.

Ordinary Americans object to the mosque project because currently no fewer than ten major multi-million dollar mosque projects are being planned in the United States as well as dozens in Europe, while not a single church is allowed in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while Jews are not even allowed to move their lips in prayer on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, while the oldest Christians in the world, the Copts, are not free to renovate their churches, let alone to build one in Egypt.

My friends, that is why we are here today. What happens in New York must be seen in the perspective of the world. The events nine years ago made an enormous impact everywhere. Most people shared your pain, but, unfortunately, some did not.

Nine years ago, when the news of the terrible atrocity in New York reached Europe, Muslim youths danced in the streets. In a poll, two thirds of the Muslim immigrants in the Netherlands expressed partial or full understanding for the 9/11 terrorists.

If a mosque were built here on Ground Zero such people would feel triumphant.

But we, we will not betray those who died on 9/11.

For their sakes we cannot tolerate a mosque on or near Ground Zero.

For their sakes loud and clear we say: No mosque here!

For their sakes, we must draw the line.

So that New York, rooted in Dutch tolerance, will never become New Mecca.

But, let us also express our gratitude for the heroes of 9/11, those who went down in that Pennsylvania field, those who were standing freedom’s watch at the Pentagon, and those who were here in New York nine years ago to risk and lose their lives for the victims.

Friends, in honor of these victims, these heroes and their families, I believe that the words of Ronald Reagan, spoken in Normandy on the 40th anniversary of D-Day, resonate with new purpose on this hallowed spot. President Reagan said: “We will always remember. We will always be proud. We will always be prepared, so we may always be free.”

    And, we, too, will always remember the victims of 9/11 and their loved ones who were left behind;

    We, too, will always be proud of the heroes;

    We will always defend liberty, democracy and human dignity;

In the name of freedom: No mosque here!

It didn't take long for the Cordoba Initiative Mosque (AKA Park 51) developers to show their true colors.  As soon as there is opposition to anything Muslims want to do, the response is always threats of violence, often followed by acts of violence.  Until the West hardens up throws these threats back into the face of Islam, there will be no end of demands and loss of freedom.

What have you done to prevent the overthrow of Western society by Islam?

What will you tell your children when they ask why they are dhimmis?

Where will you be when the Jihad hits the street?

Imam Handling of Islamic center plan a matter of national security

September 09, 2010|By the CNN Wire Staff

The religious leader behind plans to build an Islamic center and mosque a few blocks from New York's ground zero said Wednesday night that America's national security depends on how it handles the controversy.

"If we move from that location, the story will be the radicals have taken over the discourse," Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf told CNN's Soledad O'Brien on "Larry King Live."

"The headlines in the Muslim world will be that Islam is under attack."

But some critics decried his assessment.

"The whole national security thing: that's a veiled threat," Andy Sullivan, a union construction worker who wants all New York construction workers to boycott the proposed Islamic center, said on CNN's "AC 360" Wednesday night. "He's saying 'you make me move' and, guess what, the whole radical Muslim world is coming after us."

"This is a turf war," Sullivan said.

The imam, who repeatedly said his mission was to promote peace and build a bridge among faiths, said he was also speaking about "radicals" on both sides of the debate on the Islamic center. "Our national security now hinges on how we negotiate this, how we speak about it."
READ IT ALL:
"The battlefront is between moderates of all sides ... and the radicals on all sides," he said.

Moving the project to another location would strengthen Islamist radicals' ability to recruit followers and will likely increase violence against Americans, the imam said.

But Rosaleen Tallon, whose firefighter brother died on 9/11, finds that notion ironic.

"On 9/11, it didn't take a mosque for extremists to come and attack the World Trade Center and kill my brother," Tallon said on "AC 360." "What I'm finding here to be very disturbing is that now ... this mosque has to go up or there will be retribution."

The Eternal Flame of Muslim Outrage

Michelle Malkin sums up the real fight over the Cordoba Mosque.

FROM FRONTPAGEMAG.COM:

The Eternal Flame of Muslim Outrage

Posted By Michelle Malkin
September 10, 2010 @ 12:00 am In FrontPage

Shhhhhhh, we’re told. Don’t protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don’t burn a Koran. It’ll imperil the troops. It’ll inflame tensions. The “Muslim world” will “explode” if it does not get its way, warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the “Muslim world” not ready to “explode”?

At the risk of provoking the ever-volatile Religion of Perpetual Outrage, let us count the little-noticed and forgotten ways.

Just a few months ago in Kashmir, faithful Muslims rioted over what they thought was a mosque depicted on underwear sold by street vendors. The mob shut down businesses and clashed with police over the blasphemous skivvies. But it turned out there was no need for Allah’s avengers to get their holy knickers in a bunch. The alleged mosque was actually a building resembling London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. A Kashmiri law enforcement official later concluded the protests were “premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere.”

Imam fears moving NYC mosque could inflame tension

Of course, now the good Imam is going to build the Cordoba Initiative Mosque for our own good in order to protect us from all those "radical" Muslims.  What a guy.  What a load of crap.

"If I knew this would happen, if it would cause this kind of pain, I wouldn't have done it,"
Feisal Abdul Rauf

Pure Taqiyya, or in Americanese: pure bullsh*t.

So once again, it's everyone else's fault that the Muslim world will react with violence over something that displeases them.

FROM GOOGLE.COM:

Imam fears moving NYC mosque could inflame tension

(AP) – 20 hours ago

NEW YORK — The imam behind a proposed Islamic community center and mosque near ground zero cautioned Wednesday that moving the facility could cause a violent backlash from Muslim extremists and endanger national security.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf told CNN that the discourse surrounding the center has become so politicized that moving it could strengthen the ability of extremists abroad to recruit and wage attacks against Americans, including troops fighting in the Middle East.

"The headlines in the Muslim world will be that Islam is under attack," he said, but he added that he was open to the idea of moving the planned location of the center, currently two blocks north of the World Trade Center site.

"But if you don't do this right, anger will explode in the Muslim world," he later said, predicting that the reaction could be more furious than the eruption of violence following the 2005 publication of Danish cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

Opponents say the center, which would include a Sept. 11 memorial and a Muslim prayer space, should be moved farther away from where Islamic extremists destroyed the World Trade Center and killed nearly 2,800 people. Supporters say religious freedom should be protected.

Rauf, 61, has largely been absent since the debate over the center erupted earlier this year. He has been traveling abroad, including taking a State Department-funded 15-day trip to the Middle East to promote religious tolerance.

In the interview with CNN's Soledad O'Brien, his first since returning to the U.S. on Sunday, Rauf responded to a number of questions that have been raised about the project.

He said money to develop the center would be raised domestically for the most part.

"And we'll be very transparent on how we raise money," he said, adding that no funds would be accepted from sources linked to extremists.

Rauf said that, in retrospect, he might have chosen a different location for what he described as a multifaith community center.

"If I knew this would happen, if it would cause this kind of pain, I wouldn't have done it," he said.

You've Lost America, Mr. President

Arnold Ahlert nails it.

FROM JEWISHWORLDREVIEW.COM:

You've Lost America, Mr. President

By Arnold Ahlert

I was "one incident too early." On November 5, 2009, I wrote this for JWR's "sister site", Political Mavens

"Barack Obama's presidency is effectively over. Strong words? Ask yourself this: what other president of the United States would have spent almost three minutes speaking at the Dept. of Interior before getting around to mentioning the fact that twelve soldiers had been killed, and thirty one wounded in a massacre at Fort Hood in Texas?"

Alas, most Americans let this travesty slide down the memory hole. Thankfully, like he has with so many other unpopular positions, Barack Hussein Obama has "doubled down:" his support of the Ground Zero mosque is game, set, match.

As I wrote in my previous column, the true intentions of the mosque builders were revealed when they turned down NY Governor David Patterson's offer of state land in return for re-locating the mosque away from Ground Zero. They refused. That this "factoid" was seemingly irrelevant to the president speaks volumes.

It is worth remembering this is the same president who belittled ordinary Americans for "clinging" to religion. I guess Muslims "clinging" to a location that infuriates the overwhelming majority of Americans is perfectly fine, even after it's been revealed for the rankly provocative plan it truly is.

Ordinary Americans? They recognize a self-aggrandizing, holier-than-thou phony when they see one. They aren't fooled by a president who says that, "Ground Zero is, indeed, hallowed ground"--only seconds before he reveals the total hollowness of that statement by saying he's fine with a mosque on top of it.

Obama Backs 911 Ground Zero Mega Mosque at Ramadan Celebration

FROM ATLASSHRUGS:

Obama Backs 911 Ground Zero Mega Mosque at Ramadan Celebration

"We should also examine the foreign policies of the the U.S. to make sure that we occupy the moral high ground in these conflicts. In particular, we have to examine some of the root causes of this terrorist activity." then State Senator Obama post 911 attack remarks

Obama came out for the Islamic supremacist mosque at the hallowed ground of 911 attack. He has, in effect, sided with the Islamic jihadists and told the ummah (at an Iftar dinner on the third night of Ramadan, of course) that he believes in and supports a triumphal mosque on the cherished site of Islamic conquest.

If you had any doubt who Obama stood with on 911, there can be no doubt in our minds now.

I believe he planned it all along. He waited until Ramadan. Symbolic. He has now turned our Ground Zero protest on 911 into a mega-event. The very idea of a 15-story mega-mosque on hallowed ground in indecent, offensive and outrageous. If Imam Rauf and his wife Daisy really wanted to "reach out" and "heal," they would give the $120 million to the first responders suffering from exposure to the toxic environment at Ground Zero after Muslim terrorists brought down the World Trade Center and slaughtered 3,000 Americans.

Obama knows this is not about religious liberty. No one has suggested abridging the first amendment to stop the mosque. This is not a religious issue. This is a national security issue.

Mosques and the Islamization of America

Here's another fine analysis of the Islamic infiltration into Western society from Amil Imani.

FROM AMILIMANI.COM:

Mosques and the Islamization of America

Thursday, 12 August 2010

Disguised as religion, Islam has penetrated democracies with the aim of replacing civility and liberty with the barbarism of 7th century Islamic theocracy and Sharia law. Islam’s multi-pronged attack aims to destroy all that liberty offers.

America, with a long tradition of protecting religious freedom, still clings to the “hands off” practice of leaving alone any doctrine or practice billed as religion. A thorny problem is in deciding what constitutes a religion and who is to make that call. We must keep in mind that to be a loyal and faithful Muslim, a Muslim must adhere to and perform many obligatory acts, as specified in the Quran by Allah and the Hadith/Sunna, during his entire life.

The mosque serves as a house where Muslim devotees gather together for salat (prayer) and worshiping Allah and his messenger, the prophet Muhammad.  Aside from worshiping Allah, a mosque is used for a variety of reasons. These meeting places are perfect warehouses of not only indoctrination, but future terrorists, who are made to read and understand the principles of Jihad, martyrdom and Dar ul Harb (“land of war”—any place not Islamacized.) Mosques cost money, and the money for these warehouses of intolerance is coming straight from Saudi Arabia, the number one terrorist state in the world.

These mosques are being infused with an activist strain of Islam, Wahhabism.  If you have to ask where the Saudi’s are getting their money, you are not paying attention...it's coming from you. Not to mention, the current U.S. administration in its continuous war against the American people, is doing everything it can to accommodate the “Cordoba Initiative”  project at taxpayers’ expense “that is spearheading plans to build a $100 million Islamic center at Ground Zero, the site where nearly 3,000 Americans were killed by jihadists on 9/11.”  The recent CNN Poll shows 68% of American voters oppose the Ground Zero Mosque.

Those useful idiot non-Muslims who support the building of the mosque near the 9/11 site or anywhere else by invoking the ideal of religious freedom, are empowering a creed that is devoted to stamping out freedom of religion or any other form of freedom.

MONDAY'S GREGALOGUE: MY NEW GAY BAR

Go man, go. The only thing better than a gay bar next to the proposed mega mosque at Ground Zero would be to add an IDF recruiting station on the other side.

FROM DAILYGUT.COM:

MONDAY'S GREGALOGUE: MY NEW GAY BAR

So, the Muslim investors championing the construction of the new mosque near Ground Zero claim it's all about strengthening the relationship between the Muslim and non-Muslim world.

As an American, I believe they have every right to build the mosque - after all, if they buy the land and they follow the law - who can stop them?

Which is, why, in the spirit of outreach, I've decided to do the same thing.

I'm announcing tonight, that I am planning to build and open the first gay bar that caters not only to the west, but also Islamic gay men. To best express my sincere desire for dialogue, the bar will be situated next to the mosque Park51, in an available commercial space.

This is not a joke. I've already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance.

As you know, the Muslim faith doesn't look kindly upon homosexuality, which is why I'm building this bar. It is an effort to break down barriers and reduce deadly homophobia in the Islamic world.

The goal, however, is not simply to open a typical gay bar, but one friendly to men of Islamic faith. An entire floor, for example, will feature non-alcoholic drinks, since booze is forbidden by the faith. The bar will be open all day and night, to accommodate men who would rather keep their sexuality under wraps - but still want to dance.

Bottom line: I hope that the mosque owners will be as open to the bar, as I am to the new mosque. After all, the belief driving them to open up their center near Ground Zero, is no different than mine.

My place, however, will have better music.

U.S. underwrites fundraising tour for Islamic shrine at Ground Zero

This is not only "Enemy within" it's enemy within government.  Not only is the State Department backing a foreign entity, it's backing a foreign religious entity.

FROM WASHINGTONTIMES.COM:

EDITORIAL: Tax dollars to build mosques
U.S. underwrites fundraising tour for Islamic shrine at Ground Zero

By THE WASHINGTON TIMES

7:46 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2010

The State Department is sending Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf - the mastermind of the Ground Zero Mosque - on a trip through the Middle East to foster "greater understanding" about Islam and Muslim communities in the United States. However, important questions are being raised about whether this is simply a taxpayer-funded fundraising jaunt to underwrite his reviled project, which is moving ahead in Lower Manhattan.

Mr. Rauf is scheduled to go to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Qatar, the usual stops for Gulf-based fundraising. The State Department defends the five-country tour saying that Mr. Rauf is "a distinguished Muslim cleric," but surely the government could find another such figure in the United States who is not seeking millions of dollars to fund a construction project that has so strongly divided America.

By funding the trip so soon after New York City's Landmarks Preservation Commission gave the go-ahead to demolish the building on the proposed mosque site, the State Department is creating the appearance that the U.S. government is facilitating the construction of this shameful structure. It gives Mr. Rauf not only access but imprimatur to gather up foreign cash. And because Mr. Rauf has refused to reveal how he plans to finance his costly venture, the American public is left with the impression it will be a wholly foreign enterprise. This contradicts the argument that a mosque is needed in that part of New York City to provide services for a burgeoning Muslim population. If so many people need the mosque so badly, presumably they could figure out a way to pay for it themselves.

The Muslim Hijacking of Ground Zero

Daniel Greenfield, AKA Sultan Knish once again clairfies the Muslim invasion of America.

FROM SULTANKNISH:

The Muslim Hijacking of Ground Zero

By Daniel Greenfield

Islam doesn't just hijack planes, it hijacks the things that mean something to people. The great cities of the world are littered with relics of the Muslim occupation of their sacred places. Jerusalem, Delhi, Constantinople and Alexandria all testify to the Muslim predilection for taking over other people's sacred places, and turning them into mosques. It wasn't enough for Muslims to conquer Jerusalem and subjugate its inhabitants. No, they also had to take the holiest place in Judaism and build a mosque on top of it. Similarly it wasn't enough for them to conquer and rename Constantinople, they also had to turn the Hagia Sophia into a mosque. These are not exceptions to the rule. In Asia, the Middle East and Europe, there are numberless examples of the same thing.

To this day, Muslims continue seizing other people's places of worship and turning them into mosques. It's going on in Egypt today. It's going on in Yugoslavia where churches are being destroyed and turned into mosques, day by day. It's went on in Israel, in Joseph's Tomb, burial spot of the biblical Joseph, which was seized by Muslims in September of 2000, a year before 9/11.

Why do Muslims this? It's not just about seizing territory, though that is part of it. It's also about hijacking something more vital, identity. By Islamizing sacred sites, they also take control of other people's history and culture. As they have done throughout the world. Hijacking the Temple Mount, has allowed Muslims to claim Jerusalem as a holy city of theirs. Hijacking churches in Egypt and Yugoslavia, eliminates the religious history of non-Muslims from the area. Hijacking the Hagia Sophia, was part of the recreation of Constantinople, into Istanbul.

The common denominator is that Muslims do not just make war on lands or bodies-- but on memory itself. Their goal is to make people forget what came before their colonization. To distort the history and traditions that are meaningful to them, and replace them with a distorted Islamized version of history. The Muslim "tolerance" in Spain, the Palestinian Arab "refugees" and the Muslim "contributions" to science, are all examples of that revisionist history, in which oppression becomes tolerance, repression becomes knowledge, and the oppressors become the victims.

Ground Zero is not only the central point of the Muslim massacre of 3000 people. It is also the central point of the memory of that massacre. The area is the place where people come to remember what happened. To see, to hear and to pay tribute to the dead. Which is exactly why Muslims are determined to hijack it for their own purposes, with a highly visible mosque and their own 9/11 museum that will feature a radically altered version of history. What they are after is the equivalent of putting up a Holocaust Revisionism museum outside the Holocaust museum.

Islam at Ground Zero

Words to the wise.

FROM POLITICALMAVINS.COM:

Islam at Ground Zero
By Monica Crowley

We saw one expression of Islam at Ground Zero in New York City on September 11, 2001. Now, Imam Faisal Rauf and others want to demonstrate another expression of Islam there: a $100 million mosque mere steps away from the place where thousands were incinerated by Mohammed Atta et al.

Two things to keep in mind:

In Islam, once a land has been conquered for Islam, it is always considered Islamic land. If the territory reverts back to the infidel, it must be reconquered for Islam, by any means necessary.

And in Islam, the world is essentially divided into two spheres: Dar al-Islam (House of Islam) and Dar al-Harb (House of War).  Which one do you think the enemy believes Ground Zero to be?

And America, for that matter?

Four Reasons There Shouldn't Be a Mosque at Ground Zero

No Mosque at Ground Zero.

FROM TOWNHALL.COM:

Four Reasons There Shouldn't Be a Mosque at Ground Zero

by John Hawkins

There's a time and a place for everything. For example, there may be nothing wrong with building a museum of Japanese military history, but would the place for that be Pearl Harbor? How about our First Amendment right to speak out -- that's important, isn't it? So does that mean it's supposed to be okay for the God hates f*gs crackpots to protest at funerals? How about burning an American flag? Know how the US Flag Code suggests you get rid of a flag?

The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.

However, if you take that same flag, drag it on the ground, stomp on it, and burn it at a protest, the act of burning it takes on a very different meaning, doesn't it?

That brings us to September 11, 2001. Radical Muslim terrorists, who used their faith to justify murdering Americans, killed almost 3,000 people and knocked the World Trade Center down. Fast forward to the present day, less than ten years later, and believe it or not, there's actually an acrimonious debate about whether or not a mega-mosque overlooking Ground Zero will be built. Let me tell you why we should not be doing that.

1) Radical Muslims knocked the World Trade Center down in the name of Islam. For other Muslims to try to benefit from that act by building a mosque on that spot is insensitive, disgusting, and utterly vile. Not only will many of the family members of the people who died on 9/11 be grossly offended, this in-your-face mosque will provoke volcanic levels of anger around the country. If you spent a billion dollars to promote loathing, dislike, and disgust with the Muslim faith, you probably couldn't accomplish more than building this mosque will.

2) Traditionally, Islam has built mosques on historical sites as a sign of conquest. Look at the Hagia Sophia in Turkey, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, and the Great Mosque of Cordoba in Spain. In every case, Muslims built mosques on those spots to send a message: "We conquered you, took your holy site, and now it belongs to us." That is the exact same message that building this mosque is supposed to send. In fact, just in case you missed what they're trying to do, they're naming it Cordoba House just to make sure no one can be confused.

3) The people involved with putting this project together can claim that they're "moderates," but they know that around the world, building this mosque will be considered the greatest victory for radical Islam since 9/11. Yes, Osama Bin Laden will be cheering. Radical Muslims will be handing out sweets in the streets, just like they did after 9/11. The people who hate our country with every fiber of their being will be heartened by this incredible "victory" over America. Is that the message we want to send to our enemies?

4) Europe has had an extremely difficult time assimilating Muslims into Western culture. Although percentage-wise, Muslims may make up a small part of the population, they often get away with behaving almost like an oppressive majority. Sharia and polygamy have become the law of the land in parts of Britain. Non-Muslim women in part of Amsterdam have started wearing veils for protection. Belgian police officers have been told not to drink coffee in public during Ramadan. In France, Muslim violence, riots, and car burnings are just considered to be a part of life.

You may say, "That can't happen here." Setting aside the fact that is most assuredly exactly what most of the residents of all the aforementioned nations once thought, it has already started here. Newspapers are afraid to show Danish cartoons of Muhammad. Comedy Central, which is planning a whole show dedicated to mocking Jesus, refuses to show Muhammad's image on South Park.

Even as the people building the mega-mosque at Ground Zero are remorselessly taking advantage of the American people's desire to be tolerant to get support for their project, what they're doing fits in perfectly with the sort of backwards, uncivilized, and anti-social behavior that Muslims have tried to force on Western culture in Europe. If we continue to allow political correctness to prevent us from standing up for what's right for our country, we will pay a price in freedom, civilization, and human decency that we may never get back.
