Lebanon: Hezbollah refuses to meet former US president

Well, this is surely the high point of Jimmy the Dhimmi's life: Rejected by muslim thieves and murderers. Way to go Jim, now please crawl back into your cesspool and let the world get on with destroying the islamic jihad. BTW, unless Jimmy the dhimmi has a commission from the President, this is not an official visit but rather an illegal attempt to make policy.

Lebanon: Hezbollah refuses to meet former US president

Beirut, 10 Dec. (AKI) - The Lebanese Shia group Hezbollah has refused to meet former US President Jimmy Carter. Carter's spokesman said on Wednesday that the organisation which is now represented in parliament, had rejected a request for a meeting.

"I understand that some of the leaders of Hezbollah have said they were not going to meet with any president or former presidents of the United States," said spokesman Rick Jafculca.

Carter arrived in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Tuesday with an American delegation for an official visit.

He is also due to visit Syria where he will meet President Bashar al-Assad and Palestinian Hamas officials in exile in Damascus.

Hezbollah, led by radical cleric Hassan Nasrallah, is backed by Syria and Iran and is considered a terrorist organisation by Israel the US, and Canada and others.

Carter who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 brokered the historic Camp David peace accord signed by Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin on in 1978.

He has retained an active interest in Middle East issues since he left office.

Frank Gaffney is right on every count as to Jimmy Carter's incessant meddling in American international affairs.

What I don't understand is why George Bush does not make a public statement that Jimmy Carter as an EX president, does not represent the United States in any way shape or form. That would completely deflate Carter's attempts to influence American international policy. He should also direct the Attorney Generals office to investigate Carter's illegal contact with foreign governments for any breach of American law.

Lastly, Carter should be apprehended upon his return and charges pressed for his aiding and abetting international terrorists.

Jimmy Carter's pathetic need for political rehabilitation following a presidency widely regarded as one of the worst in American history is once again making news. He reportedly will meet this week with Khaled Mashaal, the Syrian-based leader of the Muslim Brotherhood's Palestinian arm, Hamas - an internationally recognized terrorist organization.

Mr. Carter maintains this is no big deal since he has met with Hamas officials before. Indeed, in keeping with his Carter Center's self-appointed status as global election monitor, the former president did officiate in January 2006 when the Brotherhood's terrorists defeated those of Fatah led by Yasser Arafat's longtime crony, Mahmoud Abbas.

In point of fact, it seems there is scarcely a serious bad actor on the planet with whom Jimmy Carter has not met. He is a serial tyrant-enabler, the very personification of Rodney King's risible appeal, "Can't we all get along?" Mr. Carter has come to epitomize the notion that "dialogue" is always in order, no matter how odious or dangerous the interlocutor - or the extent to which they or their agendas will benefit from such interactions.
