Gaza War Protest and Anti-Israel Rally

Here's Zombie's latest photo essay of an anti-Israel protest demonstration in San Francisco. It is amazing that every anti-Israel protest is dominated by hate filled calls for the elimination of Israel and the Jewish people.

On the other hand, Pro-Israel rallies never include any hint of hatred or calls for the elimination of Palestinians.

Lots more pictures (Here)

Gaza War Protest and Anti-Israel Rally

San Francisco, January 10, 2009

On Saturday, January 10, 2009, a large rally and march took place in San Francisco to protest Israel's invasion of Gaza. The event was one of a series of similar events held in various cities around the country on the same day, and was organized by ANSWER along with several other far-left, Arab and Muslim groups.

The photos in this report represent what I personally saw that day in San Francisco. Because there were thousands of people in attendance, with innumerable signs, vignettes and scenes playing out every minute in many different locations, I can vouch only for what I myself witnessed.

Obama Visits Billionaires Row

House on billionaires row

Obama gestures

After Obama was inside, they made the millionaires line up as they let them in one-by-one. For some reason, there's something strangely gratifying about seeing millionaires forced to stand in line. They probably don't have to do that very often.

Another great photo essay on an American phenomenon, Barack Hussein Obama on a fund raising dinner in San Francisco. Many more fantastic pics at the Zombietime link. Enjoy.

FROM ZOMBIETIME.COM:

Obama Visits Billionaires Row
San Francisco, April 6, 2008

On April 6, 2008, Barack Obama visited the San Francisco region, zipping from event to event all day long, from one end of the Bay Area to the other.

What? you might ask. How did I miss that? If only I had known, I would have gone to see him.

Well, there's a reason you didn't know about it. Obama didn't want you to know about it. Because the events he was attending weren't for people like you.

They were for people with lots and lots of money, who use that money to gain access and influence with politicians -- especially politicians who might become president.

So although the San Francisco Bay Area is probably the most pro-Obama section of the entire country, with Obama signs and stickers visible everywhere you turn, when Obama himself actually visited his electoral home base, he ignored the hoi polloi -- all the little people who swoon over him -- and instead, he spent the entire day with the rich. According to local gossip columnist Leah Garchik:
In the Haight, stencils of Barack Obama's smiling face are decorating the sidewalk. But in real life, he is turning up in more lucrative venues: The candidate will be around here on April 6, at a series of events that includes three $2,300-a-head maximum-strength fundraisers: Sara and Sohaib Abbasi are throwing a luncheon in Atherton; he'll zip up to Nancy and Bob Farese's house in Kentfield in mid-afternoon; and proceed from there to Ann and Gordon Getty's in San Francisco.
(Let it be pointed out that Atherton and Kentfield are two of the cities with the highest-per-capita net worth in the entire United States.)

And not only were the non-affluent excluded from these events, even the media was disallowed -- as Garchik adds:
Your trusty party-animal-by-proxy has tried to infiltrate these events, but transparency seems to be fogged up. No media eyes allowed on the collection kettles; when the gifts are big, the press is barred.
I wasn't about to let that stop me. When I hear the words "No media allowed," that's when I reach for my camera.

And I set my sights on the grand prize: The fundraiser at the home of Ann and Gordon Getty, on what has come to be called "Billionaires Row," reputed to be the wealthiest block in the world.

Pro-Troops Rally at Marine Recruiting Office

Zombietime does another fine job of photo documentation of a event. This time the event is pro military and pro America. Here are a few of his many fine shots. You can view many more by following the Zombietime link.

FROM ZOMBIETIME.COM:

Pro-Troops Rally at Marines Recruiting Office
Berkeley, March 22, 2008

On March 22, 2008, a coalition of patriotic and veterans' groups held a large rally in front of Berkeley's "U.S. Marine Corps Officer Selection Office" (better known as the Marines recruiting office) in support of American troops and their missions.

This rally -- with at least 400 participants at any one time and probably well over 500 grand total -- was much larger than any of the previous anti-troop protests at the office organized by Code Pink or World Can't Wait, which usually range from less than ten people to perhaps 50 at most on a few rare occasions.

There has already been extensive coverage of this pro-troops event at various outlets, so I'll skip the blow-by-blow coverage of what happened, and instead simply present a selection of interesting photos and scenes from the day. For more detailed photo coverage, including background on how the event was organized, check out the reports at ProtestShooter, Eagles Up, and Michelle Malkin; also don't miss the essay written by co-organizer Melanie Morgan in the Canada Free Press.
Mainstream media reports can be found in the San Francisco Chronicle and the Contra Costa Times. Video reports about the rally were posted by ProtestShooter, gogoaraigumaPolitic, the Contra Costa Times, and ABC.

A "Peace Vigil" starring Cindy Sheehan, Justin Raimondo — and not Sean Penn

March 16, 2008, San Francisco

I was lured to the Unitarian Universalist Church on Geary in San Francisco by a press release saying that actor Sean Penn, "peace mom" Cindy Sheehan, and a plethora of far-left anti-war semi-celebrities would be participating in a "vigil for peace" followed by a march through the city.

Berkeley's Marine Corps Recruiting Center Controversy

Zombietime documents the demented code pink bunch as they desecrate the Marine Corps recruiting office in Berkley California. Follow the link to many more pictures of their dementia.
FROM ZOMBIETIME.COM:

Berkeley's Marine Corps Recruiting Center Controversy
Protest by World Can't Wait and Code Pink
Berkeley, California, February 1, 2008

As noted in an earlier zombietime report, the radical group Code Pink has since September of 2007 been staging protests in front of a U.S. Marine Corps' "Officer Selection Office" on Shattuck Square in downtown Berkeley, California, in an attempt to force the office to close. The protests have been scheduled almost daily for over three months continuously, though bad weather (and apathy) have meant minimal (and sometimes nonexistent) attendence at many of these events -- which have ranged from Kiss-Ins to juggling performances to mass public
breastfeedings and beyond.

Nonie Darwish at Berkeley

Zombie does another fantastic job of photojournalism by covering the Noni Darwish lecture at Berkeley. There are many photos, two videos and written commentary by Zombie.
FROM ZOMBIETIME.COM:
Nonie Darwish at Berkeley
during Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week

Berkeley, October 22, 2007
Note: This report is an experiment in collaborative online journalism. The photos on this page were taken by seven different photographers, each working independently and unknown to one another, who submitted their pictures, videos and observations to a central editor, where they were compiled into a single report. The online nicknames of the seven "citizen journalists" are: bbuck, Chicken Kiev, Dan K., Luvpotion v.9.0, Marwan's Daughter, neocon hippie, and Temmy. The central editor who created this report -- and who did not actually attend the event itself -- is the proprietor of this site. I edited the images and videos, and wrote the captions and introduction; the citizen journalists took the photos and videos, and provided first-hand observations and notes, which are the basis of this report.

"Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week" is a nationwide series of lectures and presentations organized by conservative writer David Horowitz and his various organizations. On the evening of October 22, dozens of famous speakers gave lectures at universities around the country, mostly on the subject of Islamic extremism. The presenter at U.C. Berkeley that evening was Nonie Darwish, an Arab-American author and feminist who has become a Muslim apostate and vociferous critic of radical Islam.

Her appearance at Cal was sponsored by the Berkeley College Republicans, and strongly opposed by several left-wing groups and Muslim organizations, including World Can't Wait, the Muslim Students Association, and Students for Justice in Palestine. Her speech was even condemned by the ASUC, the official student governing body at Berkeley.

9/11 Truth March

Zombietime does it again. This is a great photo essay of the " 9/11 Truth March" in San Francisco. Click the link and settle down to some belly laughs.

FROM ZOMBIETIME.COM:
9/11 Truth March and Power to the Peaceful Festival San Francisco, September 8, 2007
Held on September 8, 2007 -- just before the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks -- San Francisco's "9/11 Truth March" wended its way through the city's Haight-Ashbury district and Golden Gate Park to the "Power to the Peaceful" festival in the park's Speedway Meadow. The goal behind the 9/11 Truth March was to raise awareness that the events of September 11, 2001 were either a hoax, or were carried out by George Bush and Dick Cheney and their minions, or were a planned demolition by neocon warmongers to create an excuse for starting a war, or were a mass hallucination, or something along those lines. The "Power to the Peaceful" festival is a combination all-day music concert and political shindig that has become an annual event. Blending "progressive" music, radical rhetoric, and revolutionary politics, Power to the Peaceful attracts tens of thousands of revelers and activists.
