EU May Pull Ambassadors From Iran After Election Crackdown

Well, well, well, the EU may pull its ambassadors from Iran on the theory that that will impress the mullahs get them to stop killing and jailing demonstrators. That'll teach them a lesson they'll laugh at all the way to a nuclear bomb.

Actually the mullahs don't give a crap about what any infidel says, much less the emasculated officials of the EU. Some day the EU and the rest of the dhimmified, in denial, delusional West will wake up to that fact. I hope.

FROM FOXNEWS.COM:

EU May Pull Ambassadors From Iran After Election Crackdown

STOCKHOLM — The European Union on Thursday was considering Britain's request to pull the bloc's ambassadors from Iran, an extraordinary move that would send a powerful signal of EU unity in the wake of Tehran's postelection crackdown.

It is a delicate balancing act for the 27-member EU: Punishing the regime too harshly for the detention of British embassy staff in Tehran also risks spoiling chances to make headway on the critical issue of Iran's disputed nuclear program.
Some EU countries worry that pulling the bloc's ambassadors from Tehran would only serve to isolate the Iranian regime, cutting it off completely from outside influence. (Iran doesn't give a hairy rats ass, the mullahs are on a mission from God, and the pursuit of worldly wealth.)
Sweden, which holds the rotating EU presidency, believes that "maintaining relations" with Iran is crucial, said Irena Busic, spokeswoman for Foreign Minister Carl Bildt.

The issue was expected to be given high priority in a two-day meeting of EU foreign policy directors starting Thursday in Stockholm. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Europe, Phil Gordon, was set to take part in the meeting on Friday.

U.S. officials say they remain open to talks with Iran over its nuclear ambitions, despite questions about the legitimacy of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's re-election and his belligerent anti-American rhetoric.

"We will be discussing matters such as the situation in Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan," said Bjorn Lyrvall, political affairs director of Sweden's Foreign Ministry.
"President Obama has given high priority to this region and this is shared by the EU. And we will probably also discuss disarmament and the nonproliferation of nuclear weapons," Lyrvall said in a statement before the meeting. (There's nothing the mullahs fear more than a good discussion.)

Nuclear negotiations with Iran had stalled even before its crackdown on citizens demonstrating against what they say was a skewed election in favor of Ahmadinejad.
The detentions of local personnel at the British Embassy last week cranked up Iran's standoff with the West. Iranian state TV on Wednesday said Tehran released all but one of the employees.

Both Britain and the EU condemned the detentions as "harassment and intimidation."
Iran, which accuses Europe of supporting anti-government rallies, said the EU had disqualified itself from talks over Tehran's nuclear program because of its "interference" in the postelection unrest.

The EU "has totally lost the competence and qualifications needed for holding any kind of talks with Iran," Iran's chief of staff, Gen. Hasan Firouzabadi, was quoted as saying by the semiofficial Fars News Agency.
Political analysts said recalling ambassadors from Iran would send strong message of EU unity. (Yeah, after the Iranians just blew off the entire EU as irrelevant, a strong message of unity will make the mullahs shake in their boots.)

"I think the symbolic signal cannot be underestimated," said Shannon Kile, a senior researcher at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. "The EU hasn't been able to act in a unified way vis-a-vis Iran on anything." (Symbolic signals really tear at the heart strings of the mullahs.)

The main concern, he said, was that the move could help push Iran further into isolation, to a point where it "won't be possible to have any outside influence on its behavior." (Doesn't this fool understand that neither he nor the entire West can dissuade Iran from it's nuclear ambitions.)

The European Jewish Congress called on the EU to stand up to Iran's "bullying tactics."
"If the Iranians see how easily they can attack European institutions and get away with it, this will only embolden them for further outrages," congress president Moshe Kantor said in a statement.

The EU has so far refrained from sanctions against Iran. Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt said Wednesday that Europe and others must take care not to become "an excuse for use of violence or use of repression inside Iran."
(Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt is a festering sack of stuff. He seems to not have noticed that the violence in Iran was started without needing any excuses blamed on Sweden. Read: we don't want to interrupt our trade with Iran.)

New State Department lexicon forbids use of the words "jihad" or "jihadist"

Kissy, Kissy
Well, it didn't take long for the U. S. State Department to follow the European model of dhimmitude by officially banning an accurate description of the Islamic attempts to take over the world. It is particularly distressing that a government agency of the United States would muzzle it's employees from uttering certain forbidden words. Go Condi, you've now joined the ranks of the other side.

FROM JIHADWATCH.ORG:

April 22, 2008
New State Department lexicon forbids use of the words "jihad" or "jihadist"
A reliable source has informed me that Condoleeza Rice has approved a new lexicon for State Department usage, absolutely forbidding the use of the terms "jihad" and "jihadist" by any State Department official.
The argument, of course, is the old Streusand/Guirard claim that by using the word jihad, we're validating the jihadist claim to be waging jihad. Of course, it's ridiculous to think that the U.S. State Department carries any validating authority within the Islamic world to determine what is Islam and what isn't. This would be the first time that unbelievers have set the meaning of Islamic theology for Muslims.
Also, the claim is that by using the word "jihad," we are insulting the peaceful Muslims who are waging the daily jihad of the struggle against sin, the struggle against the dirty dishes, etc. And that's great, if that's what any Muslim actually believes is the sum and substance of jihad, but it is an understanding of jihad that is at odds with the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence. Will Muslims be insulted by a reference to other Muslims using the traditional primary meaning of jihad? Answer: probably. But that doesn't negate the traditional status of that meaning, or the influence of that traditional view in the Islamic world.
I will publish more information on this when possible.

Finnish Blogger Shutdown The New Fascism

BLOGGER ALERT.
Another blogger has been shut down by his government. Atlas is correct that there is a crackdown afoot to shut down blogs that challenge the PC government positions of dhimmitude. Lionheart in Britain is being persecuted by his government, Ezra Levant in Canada is being persecuted, now the Finnish blogger TomaShot has been fined and shut down for simply re-posting news articles about Islam. This boils down to abject cowardice on the part of the government agencies doing this. They are doing the Islamists bidding without even being threatened. Or maybe they are being made "offers they cannot refuse" and using PC rhetoric to cover their miserable despicable actions. These government functionaries are not just selling out themselves but their families, children, nations and future of Western civilization. If you have a blog, speak out on the issues. If you don’t have a blog, start one. Exercise your rights as a freeborn human being to speak your mind and fight this insidious encroachment on your future.

FROM ATLASSHRUGS:
Finnish Blogger Shutdown The New Fascism
Open season on bloggers folks. It ain't good. Where you going to get your news? Islam is winning I tell ya. My friend, KGS, at Tundra Tabloids reports here. Read it all.
Chris of CVF , an exceptional UK blogger laments in a email,"Is there anything that we can organise in response to this outrageous censorship? It seems that there are now multiple attacks on the European blogosphere! Like Lionheart, I understand that one of our Dutch members has also been threatened. Who is next? As far as I can see this all represents the begining of a major crackdown and if we allow it to gather paste, free speech on the blogosphere is finished".

Finnish Blogger Gets Fined And Shut Down by Finnish PC Thought Crime Police.......
The blogger TomaShot, who operated the now defunct UUTISIA SUOMESTA website, a catalogue for various news stories and articles that dealt with immigration, Political Correctness and other Eurabia related issues, was dealt a serious blow by Finland's judicial system today.

He was fined 825 € and ordered to close down his website. Over at Jussi Hallo-aho's website, Scripta, I found out the following details:

(notice: The report I translated the text from is actually from Turkkilaista Tuumintaa,
Halla-aho reports on it as well, and gives an account number to raise funds on TomaShort's behalf.)
Tuusola circuit court found me guilty today of incitement against a national group. My verdict was a 825 € fine and all of my web pages were ordered to be closed down. Even though I insisted that my pages which were part of the factually based "News From Finland", which publishes news concerning crimes committed by immigrants, and should be spared, but they were also judged to be closed down as well.

The verdict financially, was exceptionally harsh, nor do individuals with families have the money to spare for such a thing. According to the directive, I am to keep my web pages permanently closed. During the trial, I was left with the feeling that everything had already been judged before hand.
I believe that I explained my case and my position in a reasonable and acceptable manner, for which I was slapped with a verdict based on such a weak charge, just because I dared to be of a different opinion by bringing the stark realism of multicultualism for all to see.
But my case has now become just one of these "example cases" by which the voice of truth is silenced.
As far as I know, TomaShot's webpages contained very little of his own material, it was more of a repository for news articles and blog posts from all over Finland --including the Tundra Tabloids-- and from outside of Finland as well. According to the blogger --with whom I will shortly be in contact with-- he was convicted for republishing snippets of posts and articles of stories the courts deemed unflattering towards minorities.

TomaShot states his innocence, that he never brought incitement against anyone, it was never his intention to bring incitement against anyone and therefore he has not done anything wrong. I will be following the TomaShot/Uutista Suomesta case closely, and filing reports as they come in.

FBI's Latest Outreach Outrage

Another fine analysis by Steven Emerson.
FROM INVESTIGATIVEPROJECT.ORG:
FBI's Latest Outreach Outrage
by Steven Emerson
IPT News Service
November 7, 2007
Much has been written about the U.S. government's current bout of schizophrenia in its outreach to the American Muslim community, specifically related to the Department of Justice. While federal prosecutors in Dallas have labeled several Islamist organizations as unindicted co-conspirators – describing them as front groups for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood - in the terrorist financing trial against the Holy Land for Relief and Development (HLF), the FBI is meeting with the very same groups to hold outreach events and the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ is setting up booths at their conferences. As wrongheaded and shortsighted as these policies are, they do not hold a candle to a recent outreach event held by the FBI's Detroit field office at the end of last month. As reported in the Detroit Free Press (see: Detroit's FBI chief: Violence extremism cuts across religions), two top FBI officials from that office "spoke to about 50 Muslims inside the Islamic Organization of North America, or Tanzeem-e-Islami." The Free Press described the organization as merely "a Sunni mosque with a primarily Pakistani congregation" and tells us that the meeting was nothing more than "part of an effort by the FBI to reach out to Muslims and other communities."
While outreach to the Muslim community remains an important endeavor, officials at the FBI and other law enforcement agencies have become far less discerning in determining who the gatekeepers and spokesmen for the American Muslim community should be.

Pope meets Saudi king to discuss Christian worship in Muslim kingdom

This is swell. The King of Darkness meets the Prince of Light and gives him a sword. Maybe it's the kind used for beheadings. While Saudi king Abdullah can visit Rome, The Pope certainly can’t visit Mecca. Does anyone see a problem here?
FROM THE DAILYMAIL.CO.UK:
Pope meets Saudi king to discuss Christian worship in Muslim kingdom
Last updated at 14:59pm on 6th November 2007

The king of Saudi Arabia met today with Pope Benedict XVI - the first ever between a pontiff an a reigning Saudi monarch - amid Vatican concerns about restrictions on Christian worship in the Muslim kingdom.
The Vatican said the "positive presence and work of Christians was raised" during the talks between Benedict and King Abdullah, who is protector of Islam's holiest sites.
The talks were "warm" and allowed a wide discussion on the need for interreligious and intercultural dialogue among Christians, Muslims and Jews "for the promotion of peace, justice and spiritual and moral values, especially in support of the family," the Vatican said in a statement.

Both sides also emphasized the need for a "just solution" to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Vatican said. Benedict has said he wants to reach out to all countries that still don't have diplomatic relations with the Holy See, which include Saudi Arabia and China.
At the same time, Benedict and other Vatican officials have often protested that Christians are unable to worship openly in Saudi Arabia and are barred from opening churches in the desert kingdom.
The Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano said the Vatican hoped the meeting would produce a frank dialogue between the two sides over the issue, noting that there are more than 1 million Christian guest workers in Saudi Arabia.
Abdullah also met separately with the Vatican secretary of state, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone.

The Pope and the king discussed Christian worship in the Muslim country
At the start of the audience, Benedict warmly greeted Abdullah, grasping both his hands before heading into 30 minutes of private talks in his library.
The Vatican said Abdullah had requested the audience, which came during his European tour. He had visited the Vatican twice before, as crown prince and deputy prime minister.
At the end of the meeting, Abdullah presented Benedict with a traditional Middle Eastern gift - a golden sword studded with jewels - as well as a gold and silver statue of a palm tree and man riding a camel.
The pope admired the statue but merely touched the sword.
Benedict sparked anger in the Muslim world in 2006 when he delivered a speech linking Islam to violence.
He said he was misunderstood and regretted offending Muslims. Since then, he has met a number of Islamic leaders and a year ago visited predominantly Muslim Turkey.
The Vatican has said it wants to pursue a dialogue with moderate Muslims.
