Another example of sudden jihad syndrome by a highly educated, native born British muslim. This article gives a clear look at the process of radicalizing a muslim to commit terroristic jihad, and gives lie to the idea that most jihadi are uneducated and poverty stricken.

Why did an ambitious, hard-working young man, once so proud of his birthplace that he hoped to serve as a doctor in the British Army, turn against the country of his birth and betray the ethics of his profession?
In an exclusive interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Abdulla’s parents have spoken for the first time about their son, who was transformed from diligent young medic to desperate terrorist. Despite his conviction last week, they still cannot bring themselves to comprehend that he was capable of such a dastardly act.

Suad Ibrahim, his mother, told how she still looks upon Abdulla, now 29, as a dutiful son who always telephoned her at least twice a week to check on her failing health.
“My son is very well educated, very helpful, polite,” says Ms Ibrahim, a pharmacist and mother of six. “Bilal isn’t be capable of killing anyone. He wouldn’t even let me kill ants when we had them in the house. He said 'They are small creatures. Why do you do this?’”
Abdulla was born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, and though the family moved to Iraq when he was just three, his mother says: “I made my son love England”.
