This would be another case of Islamic law fare, except that the UN Court of Human Rights has no legal authority. Three nameless Dutch Moroccans have their panties in a twist because a court in the Netherlands found Geert Wilders not guilty of incitement to hatred. So of course these ungrateful immigrants to one of the most benign and politically correct countries in the world do what Muslims everywhere do, which is to whine and complain endlessly. Nothing is ever good enough for these scum so perhaps they should just exercise their freedom of travel and return to the pest hole of Morocco.

Three Dutch Moroccans have made a complaint against the Netherlands to the UN court of human rights, claiming the Dutch state has not protected them from incitement to hatred instigated by Geert Wilders, Nos television reports.

The three, who are not named in the court filing, say the ‘systematic incitement to hatred and discrimination against Muslims and other migrants’ committed by Wilders has left them feeling ‘discriminated against, humiliated and threatened’.

‘They are of the opinion that Wilders by his continued hate speech has poisoned the social climate in the Netherlands that has become more and more anti-migrant and anti-Muslim,’ the statement says.

Wilders was taken to court for discrimination and inciting hatred last year but found not guilty this spring after the public prosecution department called for all charges to be dropped.

One-sided

The reluctance of the public prosecutor to take action against Wilders meant the ‘judge [at that trial] was only provided with one-side of the legal argument due to the almost perfect harmony between the prosecution and defence,’ the UN court filing states.

The three say international human rights treaties should protect them against discrimination and the UN committee should ensure those treaties are upheld.

A UN human rights commission ruling, which can take years, is not legally binding, Nos says.

Teachers Say Schools Succumb to Violent Pupils

This is outrageous on many levels.  Firstly, threats of violence and even death should never be tolerated, period.  Second, giving in to threats only begets more threats and the level of violence escalates.  Third, not expelling and or bringing criminal charges sends the message that threats work. Fourth, such utter displays of dhimmitude and cowardice by school officials degrades the authority of law enforcement, the courts and the government.  In effect, the perpetrators are in control of the school system and government at large.  It is no longer the Netherlands.

Three guesses as to the "religion" of those making threats.  No not the Mormons, not the Seventh Day Adventists, not the Buddhists, not the Sikhs.  Must be.... You fill in the blank.

Shame on those cowards.  They are selling out their nation to Islam.

Teachers Say Schools Succumb to Violent Pupils

THE HAGUE, 29/04/11 - Schools are putting teachers under pressure to keep silent if they receive death threats from pupils. Teachers are advised against going to the police and sometimes even offered hush-money, according to TV programme EenVandaag.

A teacher recounted on EenVandaag how the school management instructed her to give a higher mark to an aggresive pupil for fear he would turn to violence if he did not receive this. This pupil had at that time already made death threats to six teachers.

There was reason to assume that the pupil was dangerous because he was a friend of the Turkish boy who shot a teacher through the head in a school in The Hague in 2008. But instead of informing the police, the school management tried to please him.

Another teacher recounted how schools sometimes dismiss teachers when they go to the police to make a report against a violent pupil. One teacher even had to promise as a condition for her severance pay that she would never discuss the threats made against her with anyone. Another teacher, whose exam questions were stolen by a pupil, was advised by the school management to buy the questions back from the thief.

THE HAGUE, 10/12/09 - Amsterdam's municipal public transport company GVB is not allowing its drivers to wear a necklace with a cross, but it does allow its staff to wear headscarves, De Telegraaf reported yesterday.

Amsterdam tram conductor Ezzat Aziz has been suspended twice because as a Christian, he wore a necklace with a cross on top of his uniform. The GVB forbids the man to display his faith in this way, but does allow Islamic staff to wear a headscarf has symbol of their faith.

Aziz, who came to the Netherlands from Egypt in 1984, is seeking a summary injunction against GVB. "I am being discriminated against. "The GVB does allow female staff members to wear a headscarf as symbol of their faith. On top of this, I have only been forbidden to wear the cross visibly since the beginning of this year, even though I have already been doing this during my work since 1998."

GVB spokesman Petra Faber defends the move: "The GVB has had a new uniform for a year. To ensure a professional image, jewellery may not be worn visibly over the uniform. This applies to all necklaces, regardless of what they look like, or what symbolism or religion they represent."

This is a major setback in the war against Global Jihad. A Dutch Appeals Court has ruled that Geert Wilders should be prosecuted for inciting racial hatred.

Once again speaking the truth about Islam has been branded hate speech by leftists and Muslims. The plague of political correctness continues to wear away those who would name Islam as the abomination that it truly is.

This will be a case of enormous importance. If Wilders is convicted of "hate speech", then no one in The Netherlands will be able to speak freely about the threat of Islam. Geert may well find himself a outlaw in his own country, much like Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

A right-wing lawmaker should be prosecuted for inciting racial hatred with anti-Islamic statements that include calling the Quran a "fascist book," a Dutch court ruled Wednesday.

Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders made headlines around the world in March 2008 with his film "Fitna," which juxtaposed Quranic verses against a background of violent film clips and images of terrorism by Islamic radicals.
The Amsterdam Appeals Court called Wilders statements "one-sided generalizations ... which can amount to inciting hatred."

The court's ruling reverses a decision last year by the public prosecutor's office , which said Wilders's film and interviews were painful for Muslims but not criminal.
Wilders told Dutch media it was a "black day for myself and for freedom of speech."

The decision set the stage for what will likely be a highly charged trial touching on the declining Dutch tolerance toward a large immigrant population from Muslim countries, mainly Morocco and Turkey. Dutch attitudes shifted markedly after the 2004 murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh by a radical Dutch Muslim.
Wilders, whose party has nine lawmakers in the 120-seat lower house of Dutch Parliament, has built his popularity largely on tapping into fear and resentment among Dutch voters of Muslim immigrants.

"I've had enough of Islam in the Netherlands; let not one more Muslim immigrate," he wrote once in national newspaper De Volkskrant. "I've had enough of the Quran in the Netherlands: Forbid that fascist book."
The three judges said they had weighed Wilders' anti-Islam rhetoric against his right to free speech, and ruled he had even gone beyond the normal leeway given to politicians.

Because Wilders has not yet been charged, it is not clear what maximum penalty he could face if convicted.
While judges in the Netherlands generally are loathe to become involved in public debate, the court said it was making an exception in the case of Wilders' comments about Islam.

"The court considers this so insulting for Muslims that it is in the public interest to prosecute Wilders," a summary of the court's decision said.
Gerard Spong, a prominent lawyer who joined Islamic groups in pushing for Wilders' prosecution, welcomed the decision.

"This is a happy day for all followers of Islam who do not want to be tossed on the garbage dump of Naziism," Spong told reporters in Amsterdam.

Netherlands: Community service for destroying Christ statues

I'm assuming for now the man is not Christian, mostly because I expect that if he were, this would be specified in the article.

A 37 year old Amsterdam resident was sentenced yesterday to sixty hours of community service. In April of this year the man destroyed at least two statues of Christ in Nuenen and Deurne. The magistrate in Den Bosch also charged him with destroying five graves in the Lambertus parish in Helmond.

The suspect came to the Netherlands from Turkey 11 years ago and worked in Amsterdam at a research institute. He was arrested in Venray on April 8 when he again went for a statue of Christ. He failed to appear yesterday.

To the police he had admitted to all the charges and said that he had 'acted by orders of God in order to warn people." He had already been sentenced in the past for similar crimes.

Besides the community service the judge also imposed on him two weeks conditional jail sentence. He'll be under surveillance by the rehabilitation service for two years of probation. He is also to pay compensation for the claimed damage: 2,700 euro to the Lambertus parish and 1,780 Euro to the Deurne municipality.

Gouda Church Firebombed

Four teenagers of Moroccan origin were arrested Saturday evening for setting fire to the Vaste Burcht Reformed church in Gouda. A Molotov cocktail was thrown at the door of the church, according to the police. The bottom part of the door and the doormat were damaged.

The four Gouda residents, three aged 14 and one aged 15, are suspected of arson. The fire was reported at 5:45pm and the directions given by the reporter led to the residence of one of them, where three youth were arrested. The 15 year old suspect was arrested later that evening.

Three of the suspects spent the night in jail. They will appear in court Tuesday. A 14 year old was released after interrogation since there was no evidence of his involvement. The police is continuing with the investigation.

A spokesperson of the church said that there are often fights there but this is the first time a Molotov cocktail was thrown at them. The administrator of the church said that they had windows broken in in the past which they put down to street youth.

The parishioners were informed of the events and were told that the police and mayor are taking the case seriously.

The judicial authorities in Amsterdam said yesterday that the cartoonist was arrested as a suspect for the criminal offense of “publishing cartoons which are discriminating for Muslims and people with dark skin.”

are educated the multicultural way. To educate them in the equality and respect for all religions they wend on a field trip to the El Mouchidine mosque in Amsterdam. During the visit to the mosque, the imam told the children that they, unbelievers, were all dogs.

The 10-year-old kids and their teachers were shocked.

The school later sent a letter to the parents explaining how they ‘regretted’ the incident:

“We are shocked that during the visit to the mosque, the chairman told the children and their accompanying parents that unbelievers are dogs. This statement is unacceptable, because we teach our children in this project respect for the freedom of religion.”

The school now says they have talked it through with the Mosque and that’s it. Their spokesperson says they don’t want to talk about the incident to the press: “we have gone to this mosque many times and never had any problems before”. Implying they will continue to send their children to the mosque.

Some people never learn. One can only wonder what has to become of these children that are learned to respect this kind of unrespectful hostility and intolerance that's directed towards them.

Muslim children threaten to burn school

Now it's gotten to the point where even Muslim children can threaten violence and the "adults" in charge of them will roll over in abject terror. Students threatened to burn the school if certain cartoons were not removed from an exhibit. I certainly hope those students have been arrested for terroristic threats. Never mind, this is the Netherlands we're talking about.

NIJMEGEN, 02/04/08 - A school in Nijmegen yesterday cancelled a cartoon exhibition about discrimination following threats by Muslim pupils. Before this decision was taken, the exhibition was already literally destroyed.
Muslim pupils of the ROC Nijmegen, a large school with largely immigrant pupils, pulled cartoons from the walls shortly before these were to be presented officially. They also threatened to set the school alight. The school management decided to call off the opening.
In the exhibition, artists expressed their vision on discrimination in a humorist manner. "My expectation was that the pupils would be able to laugh about it", Ralph Sluis stated. He heads a local anti discrimination organisation. Sluis was the exhibition's coordinator.
A total of fifteen cartoonists worked on the exhibition. According to Sluis, the trouble was sparked by a work by cartoonist Peter de Wit, which shows two women in niqabs, the all-covering Islamic garments.
In the cartoon, one niqabed woman tells the other: "You filthy Muslim". The other one replies: "Yes I know, I'll wash". This woman smells bad, the cartoon shows.
The cartoon's message is that someone is not filthy if they wear a niqab. "A small group of pupils interpreted the cartoons in an entirely different way than the artist intended", Sluis stated.

But "Dutch companies, Dutch soldiers and Dutch residents" will always "be in danger" whenever there is an attempt to alert Dutch citizens, by such means as this 15-minute film, of the meaning, and menace, of Islamic Jihad.
The threat will never go away. If the Dutch do not make or see such films, how will they know about Islam, since the government policy is simply to chloroform them, permanently, and never to mention what Islam is all about? How can the citizens of the Netherlands, which had 15,000 Muslims resident in 1970 and now has more than a million, decide to halt, and reverse (and there are a thousand ways to do this) Muslim immigration, to end all the subsidizing and all the coddling of Muslim immigrants, and all the turning of the other cheek to Muslim demands for this or that change in the social arrangements and understandings, in the legal and political institutions, in anything and everything at all, that they, those aggressive Muslims, believe is not to their liking, or contradicts the Shari'a, or constitutes an obstacle to the spread, and dominance, of Islam?

Those who are trying to censor Geert Wilders do not realize, out of fear of "what Muslims may do" to Dutch people, that this implies a permanent policy of preventing anything like Wilders' movie from being made and disseminated. It has no end. And having no end, it means that the Dutch will have been terrified into surrender, even now, when Muslims are about 6% of the population.
And the same will, or can happen, everywhere in Europe -- for Dutch surrender will not sate but whet Muslim demands elsewhere, and the belief of Muslims that their tactics of threatening retribution, anywhere in the world, against the nationals of whatever country that dares to permit something like the truth to be offered about Islam to be made, or once made, to be disseminated.
The Wilders case is no more about Geert Wilders alone than was that of John Peter Zenger in 18th century America, or any of the other celebrated cases, tried both in court and in the court of public opinion. It is no different from the case of Alfred Dreyfus, whom a military kangaroo-court sentenced in a travesty of injustice fueled by antisemitism to Devil's Island, or the case of that teacher, Mr. Scopes, whose discussion of evolution with his students jarred sentiments in Tennessee.

It is about the future of the Netherlands. It is about the future of the West.

This the New Duranty Times does not begin to ponder. But why should it? What responsibility does the Times have, to begin to make its readers understand the contents of Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira? Why should the Times be expected to give little history lessons on the 1350 years of Muslim conquest? Why should one expect the Times to explain to us the views of Yousef Al-Qaradawi on, for example, the future Muslim conquest of Rome (see the MEMRI excerpt put up at JW yesterday)?
Why should one expect the Times to offer real and not fleeting coverage of Ibn Warraq and Wafa Sultan and Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and all the other articulate and very brave apostates who surely stand out, who radiate intelligence and whose views deserve to be heard, at length?
Why should the Times bother to explain the precise legal and other disabilities which non-Muslims -- if they were lucky, if they were "People of the Book" and not Hindus and Buddhists and others -- were forced to endure as "dhimmis," and to relate that to the position of Christians today, in the Arab world -- what about more articles on those Copts? Why should the Times explain how non-Muslims have fared also in the larger Muslim world -- how do Christians fare in Pakistan? In Bangladesh? In Indonesia? In Iraq, now that the iron rule of their sometime protector Saddam Hussein has crumbled, and the Americans never understood what that meant for the Christians, and haven't a clue as to what to do next?
What about, not a merely occasional and fugitive coverage, but articles that in fact bring together reports from different countries, that explains, that makes sense, of how Muslims view non-Muslims?
What about a series of articles on the goals of Jihad -- the Jihad as widely understood by Muslims as the "struggle" to spread Islam, to remove all obstacles to that spread and dominance? Why not articles on demographic conquest by Muslims of Western Europe, as discussed openly by Muslims, at least since Boumedienne felt no hesitation in doing so, in 1974, quite openly at the U.N.?
Why not do this, and so much more? Or is the Times, in its shrinking dotage, incapable of seeing what it has a responsibility to do, and which responsibility is now being met by others, using other forms of communication? In its coverage of Islam, the Times is having circles run around it, not least by this website, and related websites.
Ask yourself, reader, this question: in the more than 2,000 days that have gone by since 9/11/2001, which means more than 2,000 different editions of The Times, during a period when there were about twenty thousand stories, each concerned with Islam, put up at this website (and another ten thousand were not put up, but could be found elsewhere), what have readers of the Times -- the ordinary, trusting reader, the one who "gets his news" from the Times -- learned about Islam? How much further along has that reader been helped out of his ignorance, by the Times?
And the same could be said for them all -- for the paper we call here the Bandar Beacon (the Washington Post), and all the others. They all seem to match, in their credulity and sentimentality about Islam, and confusion therefore about the meaning and menace of the threat and how to handle it, the confusion, credulity and sentimentality of the man and Administration they love to hate: George Bush, and the Bush Administration. They mirror each other, the popular press (and the Times is not very different, not very special) and the politicians who run around, supporting this (for all the wrong reasons) or opposing that (for all the wrong reasons).
One still waits for the army of the well-prepared, in the press, and in politics, to assume their rightful place. It hasn't happened yet.

THE Dutch are debating the limits of freedom of expression after an artist who photographed gay men wearing masks of the prophet Mohammed was forced into hiding and her work removed from a museum exhibit.
Speaking on the telephone from an unspecified location in The Netherlands last week, the artist, an Iranian exile who goes by the pseudonym of Sooreh Hera, said she had been threatened with execution. She accused the director of the municipal museum in The Hague of cowardice for caving in to Muslim extremists.
Her story is a reminder of the tensions that have put The Netherlands and other European countries on the front line, sending dozens of people threatened by extremists into hiding since 2004, when Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh was murdered on the street and his collaborator driven into exile.
This leaves Hera, 34, in no doubt that she is in real danger. "They said to me, 'We're going to burn you naked or put a bullet in your mouth'," she says, referring to menacing emails. "They say, 'Now you are locked in your home and you cannot go out anymore'."
She says that by photographing gay Iranian exiles in masks of Mohammed, the founder of Islam, and his son-in-law Ali, she had wanted to expose a hypocritical attitude towards homosexuality in countries such as Iran, where men can be hanged for homosexual conduct.
"They condemn homosexuality but in countries like Iran or Saudi Arabia it is common for married men to maintain relations with other men," says Hera. "Works of art can be provocative. It is not an artist's job just to paint flowers. Art should shine a light on social issues."

The authorities and the official media of The Netherlands told us the New Year celebrations have been reasonably quiet. Nothing to worry about. Move along now!

Was it that quiet? See for yourself:

The damage is estimated by insurance companies to be around €11 million. €4 million of that figure is for torched cars alone.
In the city of Utrecht 30 cars were torched. The police reported lacking manpower to handle the situation(s).
The fire department of The Hague reports 800 fires.
There were 95 arrests in The Hague, 85 in Rotterdam and 44 in Utrecht for vandalism
The police station in Slotervaart (where a muslim earned himself a 72 yr old virgin recently) was besieged by muslims, damaged and tree police cars vandalized. No arrests were made. The riot police were present, but didn’t act.
109 cars were burned in The Hague.
22 schools were burned, some burned out, most with severe damage. The previous year ‘only’ seven schools were burned…
In North Holland province two police departments made 47 arrests for disturbing the peace and rioting. Also there was one arrest for a stabbing incident.
In Gelderland province 30 arrests for the same.
In Amersfoort six cars were torched.
Police in Barneveld didn’t act upon rioting youths, so as not to aggravate the situation. (They probably learned that from Amsterdam, where the police rarely act, for the same reason.)
In many places the police were hindered by people throwing stones to prevent the fire brigades and ambulances from doing their work.

Now do a quick calculation. Estimate the average value of a car at €10,000. Since the damage amount is €4 million, at least 400 cars must have been burned.

In Utrecht mayor Annie Brouwer will set up a prohibition on gathering in a part of Kanaleiland-Noord. The situation is getting out of control according to a mayor spokesperson on "4 in het land" program.

The problem of criminal youth in the neighborhood is so big that the police say during the show that "there's no proper answer" for it.

The chief of police and the mayor say in the show that security could be brought back to the neighborhood only if problem children would be forcibly removed from their families already when they're about twelve, and placed in special educational centers

The program "4 in het land" spent several weeks investigating in Kanaleneiland-Noord after the municipality put up fences around a senior home in order to cut off escape routes for criminals on scooters.
