Saudi demand on Mohammed cartoon

A firm of Saudi Arabian lawyers has demanded that Danish newspapers apologise for re-printing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.

A firm of Saudi lawyers, purportedly acting on behalf of descendants of the Prophet Mohammed, has demanded printed and multi-lingual apologies from Danish newspapers who re-printed cartoons of the Prophet, as well as undertakings that all Internet pictures of the caricatures be removed in perpetuity.

The demand from the Saudi Arabian legal firm of A.Z. Yamani, is contained in letters sent to about a dozen Danish editors-in-chief and gives the end of September as a deadline for compliance.

The A.Z. Yamani firm was founded by Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani, Saudi Arabia’s former Oil Minister from 1962 and until 1986 when he was summarily dismissed. The letter in question was sent by his lawyer son Faisal Yamani.

Ministries
The Danish Newspapers Association said at the weekend that it plans to contact the Danish foreign and justice ministries to discuss the issue after finding out exactly how many newspapers had received the letter in question.

Some Danish newspapers re-printed one of the controversial cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed as an illustration in connection with the police discovery of plans to murder Kurt Westergaard, a cartoonist who originally produced one of the caricatures.

Demands in the letter from the Yamani lawyers require newspapers who reproduced the cartoons to print an unconditional apology in Danish, Arabic, French and English for having offended alleged descendants of the Prophet Mohammed, as well as undertaking never again to reproduce similar drawings or material. The demand includes a requirement that a front page reference to the apology must also be made.

The Danish Newspaper Association says it doubts that newspapers will comply.

Everything has to be looked into and it is clear that we will be speaking with the Justice and Foreign ministries in a case like this – but first of all we have to get an overview of the situation«, says Newspaper Association Chairman Ebbe Dahl.

But he adds that the Saudi legal firm’s demands are ‘clearly unacceptable’ and he is in no doubt that newspapers will stand fast.

It’s completely natural that media use the core of the issue when something like this comes up«, says Dahl referring to the murder plans.

Denmark: "All the Danes and Jews must die"

That both the authorities and local people in Denmark continue to allow a few Muslims to stampede them out of their homes in fear only affirms their dhimmitude and illustrates the consequences of political correctness and multiculturalism. Shame on them for running from Muslim thugs.

The Islamic invasion will not be stopped until non-Muslims unite and drive all Muslims from the West.

It is better to die on one's feet than to live on one's knees.

23 families have been forced to move out of an apartment complex because of one other family, identified only as "Lebanese," that subjected them to "harassment, violence and threats" on a "daily basis," including their children "throwing rocks and spitting at other families in the building’s playground area. When they were told to stop, their parents came down to the playground armed with knives and clubs."

Elisabeth Dreijer Sørensen, a representative of the 23 families, recounts: "Yes, I got a red cross on my door. And later we learned what it means - that we are infidels, and that we're on the death list."

The family in question is Lebanese. There's no mention of their faith, but what do the Jews have to do with this?

More on this story in the Copenhagen Post (in English). The family has meanwhile been moved to a different place in the municipality, out in the countryside, where the nearest neighbor is 200-300 meters away. It's not the first time the family has been moved. The mayor says it's a shame that this Lebanese family is ruining it for all the other well-integrated immigrants in the municipality (DA).

The descent into dhimmitude races on unchecked in Brussels. For the police to refrain from their normal behavior because it might "provoke" Muslims is outrageous and unacceptable. I suppose by the logic of the Communist mayor of Brussels, no one may eat meat on Fridays to avoid offending Catholics, or from eating pork to avoid offending Jews. The mayor is either shitting himself out of fear of the Muslims, or he has sold out for political power, or both.

Then again, perhaps he is a secret convert to Islam and is using his position to further the Global Jihad.

Whatever his reasons, he is a traitor to Western society and a facilitator of Jihad, like many other Western politicians.

It is hot in Brussels. Ramadan has begun. The faithful in the predominantly Muslim borough of Molenbeek are not allowed to eat or drink from sunrise until sunset. Non-Muslim policemen, patrolling the streets of Molenbeek in their sweltering cars, are not allowed to eat or drink either. As every year during Ramadan, that they have been told by their superior, Philippe Moureaux, the Socialist mayor of Molenbeek, they have to respect Muslim sensitivities and not to “provoke” Muslims by violating Islamic Ramadan restrictions in public. In effect, Islamic or Sharia law is already applied - for everyone - in the Muslim areas of Brussels.

Barely two miles from Molenbeek lies Brussels’ European district. One of its huge glass and concrete buildings is the European Parliament where the elected representatives from the 27 members states of the European Union (EU) convene. The 736 MEPs (Members of the European Parliament) have just returned from their summer break. They are mostly unaware of life in Molenbeek. Most of them never go to that part of the city. It is probably a sensible decision, because Molenbeek is known to be unsafe for non-Muslims. Nevertheless, it is a shame that Europe’s politicians are unaware of day-to-day life just around the corner. It means that most of the 736 MEPs, who make up the second largest democratically elected assembly in the world (after India), do not know what life really is like in an ever growing section of Europe’s urban areas. A walking tour of Molenbeek should be compulsory for every MEP.

Some friends in Brussels organize one-hour trips through Molenbeek. They go in an inconspicuous car, driven by a local who knows the escape routes, and with a bodyguard. Otherwise the risk would be too great. These trips are called “safaris.” Similar “Eurabia Safaris” are organized in other European cities. One of the highlights - though absolutely not the most dangerous one - of the safari in Rosengaard, the Muslim section of the Swedish city of Malmö, is a short stop, to give the visitor the opportunity to take a quick snapshot, in front of Malmö’s “Jihadskörkortsteori” (Jihad Driving School).

The Sharia areas of Europe are expanding rapidly across Western Europe. While currently still restricted to what the French officially call the ZUS (zones urbaines sensibles - sensitive urban areas) these areas are growing fast. Even today, eight million of the sixty million inhabitants of France already live in one of the country’s 751 ZUS.

Wilders has requested clarification from Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen on a marriage in Saudi Arabia between an 80 year old man and a 10 year old child. The child had run away from her elderly husband, but was brought back to him by her father, the English-language website Arab News reports based on a Saudi newspaper.

Wilders asks the minister if he shares the view that "this man is behaving like a pig, just like the barbarous Prophet Mohammed, who married the six year old girl Aisha." The PVV leader wants Verhagen to summon the Saudi Arabian ambassador to express his repugnance.

The curator, Karl Rössler, told The Jerusalem Post that it is a "scandal" that the director of the Werkstatt, Philippa Ebéné, sought to censor the exhibit.
"One must, of course, name that al-Husseini, a SS functionary, participated in the Holocaust," said Rössler.

NY Man Accused Of Threatening To Kill Muslim Woman

A New York man has been arrested for a hate crime against a Muslim woman and her child.

I'm posting about this crime against Muslims for a few reasons. Firstly, this sort of behavior is never appropriate, no matter the perceived offense. These crimes should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law no matter who commits such acts. Secondly, it gives the Islamists and their fellow travelers of the left ammunition to attack freedom of speech and so suppress the West's ability to inform people of the Islamic Jihad threat.

This sort of thing also encourages the enactment of hate crime legislation, which is used not by the average Joe, but by the Left and those attempting to shut down legitimate debate over the incursion of Islam into free societies. Existing legislation already covers deadly threats without the necessity for "hate crime" penalties.

Britain is sinking fast, and in too many ways its government is its people’s worst enemy.

Jihadists struck London on July 7, 2005 and Glasgow on June 29, 2007, and many still operate in Britain -- but how bad is it now? To begin finding out, I spent the last week in London, visiting mosques and discussing the situation with locals.

What I saw wasn’t shocking, but quite depressing.

I went to London to work on a documentary on the Islamization of Europe with operatives from the Christian Action Network, which last year produced the shocking documentary Homegrown Jihad: The Terrorist Camps Around the U.S. For that film, CAN’s Jason Campbell visited many of the Jamaat ul-Fuqra terror compounds which dot the rural American landscape, generally to the consternation of the locals and in the face of the indifference or impotence of law enforcement authorities.

Last week, Jason and I walked around inside some of the most notorious mosques in Britain. One by one, we visited them. The North London Central Mosque, aka the Finsbury Park Mosque, the old haunt of the one-eyed, hook-handed jihadi Abu Hamza, who now faces extradition to the U.S. for his role in terror plotting. The expansive and prosperous Islamic Cultural Centre on Baker Street. The likewise large (and rapidly expanding) East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre, and the Stockwell Green Muslim Centre, where teenagers are recruited for jihad. There Jason and I both felt a distinct level of menace as we passed through the place.

We also went by the Masjid-e-Ilyas near the site of the 2012 Olympics, where Muslims want to build the largest mosque in Europe, capable of holding 70,000 people. But there we were not allowed in.

Unrecognized inside the mosques we were able to enter, I was warmly received as a potential convert and laden with books and pamphlets explaining the wonders of Islam -- including, courtesy the Finsbury Park Mosque, a copy of the Koran with illuminating commentary: “The purpose for which the Muslims are required to fight,” we’re told, “is not, as one might think, to compel the unbelievers into embracing Islam.”

Feel better? Don’t. “Rather, its purpose is to put an end to the suzerainty of the unbelievers so that the latter are unable to rule over people. The authority to rule should only be vested in those who follow the Truth Faith; unbelievers who do not follow this True Faith should live in a state of subordination.” So much for liberty and justice for all.

The current state of Britain came most clearly into focus, however, not when we visited the mosques, but when we tried to have dinner. I had an illuminating dinner with a group including the notable British author and freedom fighter Douglas Murray that turned out to offer a bracing introduction to British dhimmitude: the dinner had to be moved at the last minute since the proprietors of the George Restaurant in the aptly-named Isle of Dogs district of London didn’t like us discussing jihad and Islamization on the premises. This was despite the fact that the dinner had been planned to be on-camera and had been cleared with the George in advance.

In fact, when I returned to the George the next night with the producers of the film, we were not allowed entry because the previous night we had been discussing jihad and Islamic supremacism.

Were the proprietors of the George Restaurant hard-line Leftists who viewed jihadists as their allies in the struggle against American imperialism? Or were they frightened by the prospect of the local Muslims, who live in that area in considerable numbers, exacting revenge against the place for daring to host a meeting of the Resistance?

Most likely they were afraid of their own government, which frowns upon those who question the wisdom or viability of the multicultural paradise they are intent upon creating. For when we finally tried to assemble in another place a roundtable of concerned British citizens to discuss the problem of the Islamization of Britain, one by one the British participants dropped out. If they appeared on camera, we were told, the government could and probably would threaten their livelihood.

If the British government makes the stakes too high for its own people to speak publicly against the policies that have brought into Britain thousands of people intent upon destroying the British state and imposing Islamic law, then all is nearly lost.

It’s no wonder that British citizens are turning to noxious racist parties like the BNP: the elites have abandoned them. This is a time for the British people to summon untapped resources of courage, and for the British government to recover its vision. Otherwise all will be lost, and soon.

Residents thwart Rosengård street festival

Good luck making sense from this article form The Local, it's so PC it's almost meaningless.

This item is amazing in that it never once mentions or even hints that the Rosengard "residents" who, with the aid of the police, stopped a street festival were Muslim immigrants defended their "turf" against Swedish citizens (Kuffars) on public land. The pathological cowardice by the Swedish authorities in the face of Muslim ire is a snapshot of how the rest of the EU reacts to Islamic threats. Every concession, every step back from the rule of Western law in the face of Islamic incursions only strengthens the Muslims in their fanatical attempts to impose Sharia law on all of mankind.

Residents thwart Rosengård street festival

A street festival held in the Rosengård district of Malmö deteriorated into a fight on Saturday evening as activists were forced out by area residents.

The “Reclaim Rosengård” street festival, which was conceived as a protest against the social conditions in Rosengård, didn’t exactly go according to organizers’ plans. The event was supposed to get underway at 8pm on Saturday, but after about 15 minutes the activists who had gathered to participate were pushed out by Rosengård residents.

The activists' floats with music were also barred from entering the predominantly immigrant neighbourhood.

“There were quite a few who had gathered, not only young people, but also a lot of parents. I think that patience has run out among the residents of Rosengård,” said municipal district representative Inger Leite to the TT news agency.

According to Leite, the Rosengård residents had made it clear previously that they didn’t want people to feel they had the right to come and speak to the residents who live there.

Instead, the activists gathered in front of a nearby petrol station where they threw stones, bottled, and burning objects at police cars.

By 2am Sunday morning, the disturbances remained in full swing. Several small fires were burning, including a hedge near the petrol station which had also had its windows broken.

Thirty minutes later, most of those involved had gone home and the situation had calmed down.

Other than a few small fires and the damage to the petrol station, no other serious incidents were reported, according to Skåne police spokesperson Lars-Håkan Lindholm.

No one was injured during the night’s disturbance and no arrests have been made.

MIDEAST:GAZA, SUICIDE BOMBERS BACK BUT KILLING PALESTINIANS

No surprises here. Muslims just can't stick together long enough to become an truly effective global power. Fortunately for the West, Muslims hate each other almost as much as they hate non-Muslims. As a matter of fact about 80% of all Muslim killings are against other Muslims.

This is another case of having several rats (Muslims) in a barrel fighting it out to see who will survive to become the king rat.

(ANSAmed) - GAZA, AUGUST 17 - Suicide bombers have made a reappearance, but this time Palestinians are the ones to pay the price. Sources in Gaza have reported that during the bloody clashes which broke out on Friday in Rafah (in the southern part of the Gaza Strip) between Hamas militants and fighters from the ultra-radical Salafite group Jund Ansar Allah ('God's Warriors'), allied with Al-Qaeda, the latter group made use of two suicide bombers. In the battle - the worst since Hamas took control of Gaza from its rival, Fatah, two years ago - and the subsequent hunting down of the Islamic extremists, 22 were killed - including five civilians and six Hamas militants - and over 120 injured. According to ANSA sources, during the battle it was allegedly a suicide bomber who blew himself up before being able to strike against Hamas (Abu Abdallah al-Suri, a pro-Al-Qaeda militant who had escaped from Syria to Gaza) to kill the Jund Ansar Allah leader Abdelatif Mussa, a doctor-turned- Islamic preacher. Hamas sources instead say that Mussa chose to blow himself up along with some of his followers in his own home instead of giving himself up. The second suicide bomber was reportedly a Palestinian named Abdallah Awadallah, who was attempting to kill Hamas members but did not succeed. Before the clashes began, Mussa gave rise to Hamas's fury in a Rafah mosque by proclaiming the establishment of an Islamic emirate and accusing Hamas of weakness in the application of Islamic laws, as well as acting in the manner of a secular government. Hamas reacted ruthlessly to what it saw as a challenge to its authority in the Gaza Strip. Militants surrounded the mosque where Abdelatif and his followers were, about a hundred of whom were armed, and ordered that they give themselves up. Instead, a battle broke out which continued for hours with much use of heavy weaponry, including machine guns and rockets. Rafah inhabitants spoke of a "day of horror". The Palestinian organisation for human rights in Gaza Al-Dameer has requested a thorough inquiry and accused Hamas of using excessive force. Taher An-Nunu, spokesman in the de facto government of Hamas, said that Jund Ansar Allah was responsible for a series of attacks using explosives on internet cafes, restaurants, hairdressers and Western meeting places. Britain, birthplace of parliamentary democracy, has fallen to Islam. Oxford, once home to the likes of C.S. Lewis, now houses a giant Eastern Islamic Studies Center. If this were the only Islamic addition to Oxford, the mood would be less somber, but when Oxford citizens are forced to awake every morning to the Muslim call to prayer with the full consent of the Church of England, nothing short of conquest has taken place.

Britain's Muslim demographic is now so dominant that the British government recently began to allow Islamic civil and religious law, known as Sharia, to be enforced along side British law.

But if religious tolerance is good, why is this a problem? Simple-this is not an issue of religious liberty. Islam is not designed to co-exist with western civilization. It is designed to conquer it.

Most would agree that Judeo-Christian values are consistent with Anglo-American tradition. Can the same be said of Islam? Even Muslims don't think so. The chief Justice of London's Sharia Court made this chilling statement:

If Sharia is implemented then you can turn this country into a haven of peace...Once a thief's hand is cut off, nobody is going to steal. Once an adulterer is stoned, nobody is going to commit this crime at all. This is why we say we want to offer it to British society.

Statements like this have not stopped prominent British figures from endorsing Sharia. The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Protestant equivalent of the Pope, called Sharia "unavoidable."

AN Australian (Muslim) sociologist who has compiled a comprehensive database of suicide attacks claims bombers "are not mad" and there appears to be no set demographics for potential attackers. (Yes there is a demographic, they're all Muslims.)

Suicide attacks are usually carried out by young and vengeful men, who are completely sane, sociologist Professor Riaz Hassan says.
Prof Hassan has analysed every suicide attack in the world since 1981, seeking to explain the reasons behind the actions.
He found there were more than 1,200 suicide attacks since 1981 killing at least 5,766 people.
Iraq topped the list with 651 attacks occurring in the war-torn nation.
This was three times as many as Israel/Palestine with 217 incidents, followed by Sri Lanka (93) and Lebanon (48).

Prof Hassan, from South Australia's Flinders University, said after analysing the data, there appeared to be no set demographics for potential bombers.
The majority were young men, but their driving factors were widely varied, from personal motivations to societal conditions to being directed by others. (Yeah, the personal motivation of dying for Allah and being directed by their Imams.)
The study clearly refuted a common belief that suicide bombers were insane or mentally unbalanced, Prof Hassan said.

"It largely discredits explanations that (they) ... are acts of abhorrent violence, perpetrated by the psychologically impaired, morally deficient, bizarre, sick and crazy," he said.
"Suicide bombers are not mad. (Correct, they're Islamic martyrs dying to impose Sharia on the world.)

"And public policies which take cue from such explanations ... do not focus on societal conditions which may have given rise to the phenomenon."
The first suicide attacks happened in the 1970s, but it wasn't until 2003 when the world - or Iraq, specifically - endured a massive spike in incidents.
Prof Hassan believes suicide bombing is mostly a desperate action to right social wrongs. (No, they're simply acts to insure going directly to heaven and collect their 72 virgins)
Making efforts to improve human rights - such as the treatment of refugees - would halve the number of suicide attacks, he forecast, pointing out the treatment of Abu Ghraib prisoners in Baghdad led to another spike in suicide attacks.
Suicide bombers were spurred on by the humiliation suffered by those in their community, he said. (No, suicide bombers primary consideration is to use terror to impose Islam on the world.)
Most believed their lives were worth less than the collective's honour. (This is true, Islam gives absolutely no value to the individual.)
It would be impossible to stamp out suicide attacks unless real changes were made to improve social conditions in countries around the world, Prof Hassan said. (It's never Islam that's to blame, but the Kuffars fault Muslims must commit suicide murders.)

Back in May, I told you about Dr. Chilakamarri Ramesh.

The psychiatrist–who lives in the swanky Detroit neighborhood of giant houses of Royal Point in West Bloomfield, Michigan–falsified diagnoses for hundreds of mostly Hezbollah-supporting Sh’ite Muslim aliens, so they could become U.S. citizens without speaking English.

Sadly, incompetent federal prosecutors, including terrorist-enabler Jonathan Tukel,asked for only twelve months prison time for him, and yesterday, he was sentenced to only ten.

It’s ridiculous. This man signed 953 fraudulent naturalization waivers for 492 people, most of them in Dearbornistan, some of them in Cleveland, St. Louis, and Chicago. That means he tried to help almost 500 non-English speaking Muslims to become citizens. I hope they were deported for immigration fraud, but I’ll bet they were not and that their immigration attempts were successful.

As I noted in the previous post about him, those who want to become citizens must take the citizenship test in English, unless they lack mental capacity . . . which is where Dr. Ramesh comes in. He falsified psychiatric evaluations on naturalization applicants at a Shi’ite Muslim-owned center, asserting that the applicants lacked mental capacity and should be excused from taking the citizenship test.

The Dearborn business where the fraud was conducted, Four A’s hope Global Psychological Evaluation Center, was owned and run by a Shi’ite Muslim, Walid Salah, Ph.D. a/k/a Al Kailane Walid a/k/a Walid Kailane, who was allowed to flee the country to Lebanon and has been a fugitive since 2003, and Salah’s relative, Samir Al-Kilaine, another Shi’ite Muslim.

Thrilling–isn’t it?–to note that a guy who tried to help almost 500 Muslim aliens illegally become citizens gets only 10 months in prison, less than many drunk driving convicts get. (No doubt the profits paid for his massive, expensive home.) Also thrilling: that the Muslim defendant–who was really the big fish here–fled the country and will never face justice.

Why Islamic Law is the Antithesis of Equal Justice

In Sudan a dozen women were sentenced to be flogged for wearing pants. Some of them were Christian, but that has never really mattered, as the essential premise of Islamic law is that it is inherently superior to every other law. Naturally no men have ever been sentenced for wearing pants. That is a law that applies only to women, because there is a fundamental difference between Islamic law and Western law, not simply in morality or structure-- but in equality.

A Muslim man will never be sentenced to be flogged for wearing pants, just as a Muslim Imam will never be tried for blasphemy no matter how many ugly things he says about Hindusim, Christianity, Judaism or Buddhism. Blasphemy is a charge that is meaningful only in relation to the doctrine that is at the heart of Islamic law, that is Islam itself.

Islamic law is law made by Muslim men for the benefit of Muslim men, and the detriment of everyone else. It is the product of an inherently unequal system, designed to perpetuate that system.

Under it non-Muslims are inferior to Muslims because by rejecting the "truth" of Islam, they cast doubts about their moral fitness. A non-Muslim is an infidel who drinks alcohol, eats pork and has forbidden sexual relations. As far as Islamic law is concerned he is already of poor moral character and a criminal.

Women are inferior to men, as they are lower in status than men. When Mohammed declared, or was said to declare in Islamic scripture, that, "I also saw the Hell-fire and I had never seen such a horrible sight. I saw that most of the inhabitants were women", he was articulating the top down theology of a cult that defined sinfulness in terms of position of tribal power. Therefore in the Mohammedan vision of hell, the underworld was to be populated mostly by women for their ingratitude to their husbands, who under Islam were also their masters. And slaves are defined as moral to the degree that they serve their masters.

Under the circular logic of Islam, women are second class citizens because they are untrustworthy, and untrustworthy because they are second class citizens. This makes women automatically suspect of all sorts of things.

When a family failed to pay up, the criminals began abducting young Hindu women to get families to pay a ransom for them. Now a Muslim gang member is threatening to marry a young Hindu woman without her consent. Human rights activist calls on the government to intervene.

Some 20 Hindu families from the villages of Kalibari, Kajir Hat and Keramotia, in the sub-district of Sonagaji, southern Bangladesh, have become the victims of extortions and blackmail by members of the local Muslim majority, this according to representatives of the local Hindu minority. They complain that young Hindu women are being abducted to extort money from their families.

Initially Jafar, Yunus, Saiful, Ripon, and other Muslims set up a criminal gang. Their first deed was to demand 45,000 taka (US$ 650) from the family of Nitia Das, in Kalibari.

When other Hindus resisted attempts to extort money, the gang began persecuting Hindu families in the area’s villages.
They abducted one young woman, demanding a ransom of 50,000 taka (US$ 725) for her release.

In a second case a family had to pay 25,000 taka (just over US$ 360) to get the release of the young woman involved.
A local Hindu, Boloram Das, who is related to the second kidnap victim, said that more threats have been made against local Hindus.

One of the gang members, Yunus, is now threatening to marry a young Hindu woman against her will and that of her family.

“Neither villagers nor police are willing to help us,” he lamented. In addition, “at least 20 Hindu families from the area are unable to go home.”
Human rights activist Dipal Barua said that attacks against minorities are very much on the rise in Bangladesh.
Strongly condemning violence, he called on the government to “take proper actions against the extortionists as soon as possible.”

Gone insane for a son

Here is another horrific example of Muslim cruelty and depravity. Throwing acid on women is par for the course by Muslims in South Asia. this attack against an 8 month old baby however is the most brutal and inhumane attack I've read about in 6 years of tracking such atrocities. This poor girl somehow survived the depraved attack and may eventually lead a somewhat normal life.

That there is an organization known as the Acid Survivor's Foundation is almost beyond belief, but brings into focus just how wide spread this animalistic practice is.
There are no words for the horror of this sort of attack on the innocent.

If Sharia is ever imposed on Western societies, this sort of barbaric practice will come along with it.

Stop Islam. Deport those in the West before they breed an Islamic Jihad army to attack from within.

Daughter survived father's acid assault to tell world of a sick paternal craving

Babli's father wanted to be the "proud parent" of a son, and when a son was not born to him but a daughter, he chose to be a villain.

Bakhtiar Rana, a carpenter by profession in Betagi Thana in Rangunia, Chittagong, took an instant dislike to the fact that his wife "had given him a burden instead of an heir" and made his feelings clear.

The resentment over being stuck with a burden -- as a girl child is still labelled in society -- grew in such proportions in him that things took a turn for the worst when Babli was just seven months old in July 2000.

On the fateful day, Babli's father chose to forget that he was a human being. He took his child in his arms and used a medicine dropper to force acid into her mouth, into her ears and on her feet. He also did not spare her anal passage.
The attack left Babli with a burnt throat, tongue and severe hearing impairment. She also suffered serious damage to knees, feet and anal passage. But the fighter that the little baby was, she kept her struggle to just stay alive and she was lucky enough to draw the attention of people who would help her.

Now eight years later, after sessions of continuous treatments, Babli can now not only eat on her own but also talk and even goes to school.
Bakhtiar Rana was never arrested and her mother Parul Akter still suffers from the trauma of witnessing the heinous attack on her child to kill her.
Parul who lives and works in Dhaka now told The Daily Star yesterday “Everyone apprehended she would die from the injuries she suffered but my brave daughter held on. She underwent at least six major operations over the last eight years since 2001.

A visiting surgeon from the USA first operated on Babli to try and repair her food pipe and throat. After that surgery she was able to drink liquid food and gradually was able to swallow semi-solid food.

In 2004, one of her damaged toes had to be amputated during surgeries to restore the use of her feet. In 2005, further surgery restored the use of her tongue. Then in January and March 2006, two operations by a visiting plastic surgeon from UK reconstructed her inner mouth.

All these operations were made possible because of the shelter given to the mother and child by the Acid Survivors Foundation since November 2000.
Parul told The Daily Star “We did not get justice in nine years and I now think that we will never get any justice because the law enforcement agencies say that Bakhtiar is still absconding.
"The joke is that Bakhtiar still lives where he used to live, has since got remarried and is now the father of two, including a son. Only the law enforcement agencies cannot find him."

A case has filed around a year after the attack under the Nari O Shishu Nirjaton Domon Tribunals, Chittagong. After reinvestigating the case, the court finally accepted the charge sheet and the charges were framed in January 2003.
Monira Rahman, executive director of Acid Survivors Foundation, said “Both victims -- mother and child -- of this cruel violence has suffered severe traumatic disorder over the years.”

Babli is a student of class-II in a city school and she is also learning to dance. She is quite good at dancing and has already performed at national level programmes despite the loss of a toe.
She is able to talk now, and though not clearly, doctors at Jibon Tari Hospital, run by ASF where Babli was treated, expressed hope that in time her speech will be totally alright.

Parul today works as an office assistant in Dhaka and supports herself and Babli.
"We hear every day that the government is so aware about acid crimes, but why is then Bakhtiar still free while my child suffers by the hour?"
“What is my child's fault? Why does she suffer alone still?" Parul said as she burst into tears while talking about the ordeal they have been through.

Babli is one of the many cases of acid violence. According to a report by Acid Survivors Foundation, 45 people fell victim to acid violence between January to June this year alone. Another 179 people in 2008, 192 in 2007, 221 in 2006, 272 in 2005, 325 in 2004, 411 in 2003, 490 in 2002, 349 in 2001 and 234 people in 2000 suffered similar attacks.

The eight-strong squad, including Olympic silver medallist Nathan Robertson, has pulled out of the Hyderabad tournament, which starts on Monday, following reports of a threat by extremist group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Badminton England chief executive Adrian Christy said: 'This was an incredibly tough decision and one we didn't take lightly.

'After the Olympic Games, this is the most prestigious championships in the world but we were not prepared to risk the safety of our players, coaches and staff in what we felt could have been a very volatile environment.'

But Mr Christy said the England camp was 'extremely grateful' for the speed in which the BWF (Badminton World Federation) and the organising committee reacted to the threat.
'We have carefully considered the comments made by the local police authorities and we know that they have the best interest of all competitors in mind.

Meanwhile, Syria continues it's intrigues in Lebanon, Egypt allows the continued smuggling of weapons into Gaza and Iran looms over all and supplies and coordinates its proxies. There is also the 2 million plus Muslims living in Israel many of whom will rise up and attack from within at the next major Islamic attack. The next Islamic attack on Israel may well be the largest and most dangerous in Israel's history.

In addition to all the enemies surrounding Israel in the Middle East, Barack Barry Soetoro Hussein Obama continues to suppress Israel's ability to defend itself. To an alien looking down at all this, it would be obvious that there is no longer any nation who will defend Israel from Islamic attack. The only thing holding back the Muslim hordes is a lack of coordination and preparedness.

According to Israeli, United Nations and Hezbollah officials, the Shia Muslim militia is stronger than it was in 2006 when it took on the Israeli army in a war that killed 1,191 Lebanese and 43 Israeli civilians.

Hezbollah has up to 40,000 rockets and is training its forces to use ground-to-ground missiles capable of hitting Tel Aviv, and anti-aircraft missiles that could challenge Israel’s dominance of the skies over Lebanon.
Brigadier-General Alon Friedman, the deputy head of the Israeli Northern Command, told The Times from his headquarters overlooking the Israeli-Lebanese border that the peace of the past three years could “explode at any minute”.

Israeli planners have no doubt that, should they make the fateful decision to attack Iran, they will provoke massive retaliation on an unprecedented scale.

An Ottawa taxi driver who was found guilty of sexual assault in May is to appear in court this month for sentencing. Assistant Crown attorney John Ramsay argues that Hassan Jabar Majli ‘ abused a position of trust when he took advantage of a female passenger in June, 2007. The unidentified victim has testified that the driver, upon dropping her at her destination, followed her into the apartment block, grabbed and kissed her as she tried to get into the elevator. She also testified that Majli put his hands up her skirt and digitally penetrated her as she tried to flee through a stairway.

Majli testified that he believed the woman had asked for a kiss and said he ‘offered’ her a ‘friendly’ kiss when he became worried she would complain to her boss that he didn’t ” please her”. Alan Brass, Majli’s lawyer argued that the cabbie, a married man with a young son, has led a respectable life since arriving in Canada from Kuwait. Majli maintains his innocence. He is to be sentenced August 18.

In June, I got a cellphone and used it on a trip to British Columbia to talk to a man who's unrelated to me. To think that this might upset my two brothers who then might start plotting to kill me for it is laughable-- in the safe confines of western society. Fadia Najjar, who lived in Gaza, got a cellphone too and it cost her life. Her father, Jawdat, turned himself in to police last week, the day after Fadia was beaten over the head with an iron chain and punched and kicked for 40 minutes before dying of a fractured skull. Jawdat had been furious about his daughter owning a cellphone and believed she had used it to talk to a man unrelated to the family, according to police reports obtained by two human rights groups, Mezan and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), and cited in the Jerusalem Post. Three of her brothers are suspected of being complicit in her killing.

According to figures released by the United Nations, Fadia is one of 5,000 women who will die this year in so-called honour killings. The Jerusalem Post notes she is the 10th woman to lose her life in 2009 in honour killings in Palestinian areas and in Arab communities within Israel.

The situation at the border now poses a grave threat to national security. Agent Mike Scioli of the U.S. Border Patrol confirms that the Tucson sector of the Border Patrol is facing a worsening problem with Mara Salvatrucha, a Salvadoran street gang that now controls the flow of arms, drugs, and illegal aliens into the U.S. Two members of the violent gang were collared last week in Tucson and Nogales. Twenty have been brought into custody since President Barack Obama assumed the oath of office on January 20, 2009. But the Salvadoran gang is bringing more than guns, dope, and Mexican peasant workers over the border. In the wake of 9/11, Mara Salvatrucha attracted the attention of top al Qaeda officials, who realized that the gang could be used to smuggle operatives and weapons into the United States.[1] An agreement was forged between the terrorists and the gang-bangers. In exchange for safe passage across the border, al Qaeda – through its cells in South America – agreed to pay the Maras from $30,000 to $50,000 for each sleeper agent they managed to smuggle into the country with bogus matricula consulars.[2] Matricula consulars are official identification cards that are issued by the Mexican government through its consular offices. The cards verify that the bearers are Mexican citizens who are living outside of Mexico with the government’s permission.

According to U.S. officials, these cards pose a grave threat to national security. Steven McCraw, assistant director of the FBI’s Office of Intelligence, told a House Judiciary Subcommittee: “The ability of foreign nationals to use the matricula consular provides an opportunity for terrorists to move freely within the United States without triggering name-based watch lists that are disseminated to local police officers.” Counterfeit matricula consulars are easy to obtain. In Los Angeles, the going rate is $90; in New York City, $150.
News of the alliance between al Qaeda and Mara Salvatrucha prompted Honduran officials, including Security Minister Oscar Alvarez, to adopt a zero-tolerance law that makes membership in the street gang punishable by 12 years in prison. Mara members responded to this legislation by beheading scores of victims and leaving notes on the bodies for the Honduran government. One note read: “Idiots, the end of the world is approaching.”[3] According to border patrol officials, including Sheriff D’Wayne Jenigan of Del Rio, Texas, thousands of Special Interest Aliens (SIAs), with the help of Mara Salvatrucha “coyotes,” have made their way across the Mexican border and into the land of the free and the home of the brave. Such SIAs come from countries that pose national security concerns: Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt, Somalia, Yemen, Jordan, Lebanon, and even Iraq. The routes used by illegal aliens to enter the U.S. have become littered with discarded Muslim prayer blankets, pages from Islamic texts, and Arabic newspapers. Law enforcement officials have named such passageways “terrorists’ alleys” and a street leading north from the city of Douglas, Arizona, as “Arab Road.”

MAIDUGURI: Police in northern Nigeria are investigating how a homegrown Islamist sect managed to unleash a wave of violence that left more than 700 people dead last week, a police spokesman said Monday.

Moderate Muslim clerics and scholars said they had warned government officials about the sect’s violent tendencies — and that the alarms went unheeded before Boko Haram militants attacked a police station in Bauchi state on July 26.

Violence quickly spread to three other states before Nigerian forces retaliated, storming the group’s Maiduguri compound Wednesday and killing more than 100 fighters.

Police in the past few days have arrested 20 suspected members of the sect, Borno state police spokesman Isa Azaza said. Some were found with stocks of gunpowder, vats of acid, aluminum containers for bomb-making, assault rifles and black-and-white flags with Arabic inscriptions, Azaza said.

He declined to say where the men were from. Many Boko Haram members were purportedly from neighboring Niger.

‘Investigations are ongoing,’ he said, adding that police were still searching for fugitives.

Azaza said the group was well organized in its attacks on police stations and government installations.

‘They divided themselves and attacked all the police stations in the metropolitan area,’ he said. ‘It was a well-planned attack.’

*The plot to kill hundreds of soldiers at Fort Dix by assimilated American Muslims living here 25 years (all convicted).

*The plot to operate a terrorist training camp in Oregon (pleaded guilty).

*The plot to blow up buildings by the Liberty City 7 (all convicted).

*The sweeping conviction of Hamas officials for conspiring to support terrorism overseas.

The cases of young Somali teenagers raised in the U.S. going overseas to become suicide bombers.

The Boyd case in North Carolina proves that radical Islamic ideology transcends economic class problems as has been claimed by pointy-headed sociologists. The Boyd family was white, had a middle-class existence, and had the economic opportunities afforded all Americans — just like most of the terrorists cited above — and yet chose to engage in jihad to the point that Daniel Boyd was willing to send his two kids on suicide missions to Israel.

That the FBI stopped all these plots is amazing, but they will never continue to bat a thousand. One of these days, the jihadists will succeed.

Girl chained for a week by father in Hyderabad

Evidently, chaining up ones daughter isn't restricted to Muslims in Hyderabad, India. The above photo is of a Turkish man leading his beloved daughter with a chain. Perhaps that's the Koran he's reading.

The step father of the poor girl in India just wanted her to "mend her ways", whatever that means. Chaining someone to a piece of furniture will certainly mend their ways all right.

I guess that's what meant by "equality" of women in Islam: they're all treated like chattel.

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl was chained by her stepfather to a TV stand for more than a week as her mother was fighting sickness.

Henna limped into a Hyderabd police station on Monday night, chained to a TV stand. Her stepfather Mohammed Akbar allegedly tied her with iron chains for more than a week, while her mother battled sickness.

Repeated pleas by Henna's mother, Begum, went unheard, after which she decided to approach the city police. The girl said her stepfather beat and verbally abused her almost daily.
"My mother used to take an injection to sleep after which I used to be scared so I tried to run away," said Henna.

The step father though claims it was only to mend Henna's ways. The police have now registered a case of illegal confinement against Akbar and are questioning him.
"He used all of his criminal force to control the girl, so she resisted it," said Sub-Inspector Nagendra Rao.

While the police has rescued the girl for now, the case throws light on the inhuman punishments still being meted out in by-lanes of Hyderabad.
