US unveils significantly different counterterrorism strategy

Well this is fine as far as it goes, but what about the other Islamic terrorist organizations in America that are in many ways more dangerous than al Qaeda? For whatever reasons, the administration, the left, much of Congress, and a lot of the Right don't see the Saudi invasion of our universities with hundreds of millions of dollars for "Islamic centers" staffed by radical Wahaabi clerics. They do not see the 1,200 plus Saudi Mosques built with Saudi money and again staffed with radical Wahaabi clerics. They don't see CAIR and MAS as Muslim Brotherhood fronts, again, funded primarily with Saudi money.

They don't see the Islamic charities collecting money for Hamas and Hezbollah.

They discount the Somali's who have come here as refugees only to return to Somalia to fight against the established governments to impose radical Islam. They ignore Fetullah Gulen and Jamaat ul-Fuqra a terrorist organization founded by a notorious Pakistani cleric, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani with about 30 compounds in America populated by Black American Muslims, many with criminal backgrounds. They train with guns in military tactics.

Almost all the individual acts of individual Jihad in this country have been discounted as acts by the mentally unbalanced or any reason other than Islam.

In a nutshell, we (America) are marching blindly but willingly into an Islamic tsunami which is striving mightily to replace our democracy with Sharia law and all the horrors that go with Islam.

WASHINGTON— (TCSM) The White House unveiled a new counterterrorism strategy Wednesday that homes in on what it says is a declining but still dangerous Al Qaeda — and that for the first time makes a priority of the threat posed by adherents of Al Qaeda's extremist ideology inside the US.

"This is the first counterterrorism strategy that focuses on the ability of Al Qaeda and its networks to inspire people in the United States to attack us from within," said John Brennan, President Obama's chief counterterrorism adviser, in a speech Wednesday in Washington.

The new counterterrorism strategy replaces one from 2006 and calls for pursuing with what Mr. Brennan called "laser focus" the approach that the Obama administration has already been taking. This approach, which the administration says has decimated Al Qaeda's power, reach, and appeal, includes the following components:


* A zeroing in on the organization's senior leaders.

* Enhanced cooperation with allies and partners to defeat the extremist scourge.

* A sustained effort to restore America's image and leadership in the world.


Elaborating on each of these points, Brennan said that, first of all, Al Qaeda's leadership ranks have been seriously depleted and its recruiting abilities weakened.

"All told, over the past 2-1/2 years, virtually every major Al Qaeda affiliate has lost its key leader or operational commander," he said — adding that the operation in May resulting in the death of Osama bin Laden was "our biggest blow against Al Qaeda yet."

Second, he said, the US will continue to deepen the kind of intelligence cooperation that was exemplified by Saudi Arabia's tip-off to US intelligence officials last October about explosive devices, which Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula had managed to introduce to planes headed for the US.

Brennan, who at one point in a long CIA career was station chief in Saudi Arabia, said in a question-and-answer session following his speech that the Saudi kingdom was now "one of the best counterterrorism partners that the US has."

He said he hoped Pakistan — which he described as "one of our most vital counterterrorism partners" — will one day realize, as Saudi Arabia did after a series of internal attacks in 2003, that "this really is a war" that threatens more than US interests.

Third, Brennan said, efforts under Mr. Obama to improve America's image abroad and enhance diplomatic and people-to-people relations were yielding results — even as Al Qaeda's image and appeal among Muslims are waning.

He cited the Arab Spring, which he said has "left Al Qaeda and its ilk on the sidelines." For decades, terrorist groups like Al Qaeda "have preached that the only way to effect change is through violence," Brennan said, adding, "Now that claim has been thoroughly repudiated, and it has been repudiated by ordinary citizens, in Tunisia and Egypt and beyond."

As upbeat as those words were, the White House counterterrorism chief sounded a cautious note in emphasizing that Al Qaeda still has an ability to attract adherents.

Washington, DC: Huge Shopping Mall Development Project Must be Shariah Compliant

A huge development project in Washington, DC must conform to the sharia (Islamic law). This is the next level of imposing Islamic law on the secular marketplace. A shariah compliant mall on taxpayer land.

The New York Times says here that the property is primarily public property:

"CityCenterDC will fill 10 acres, all city-owned except for the land beneath two condo buildings."

This is the jizya (the poll tax imposed by Islamic supremacists on non-Muslims). City lands and tax abatements used to prohibit bars, liquor and infidel banks? And this hasn't created a firestorm?

Imposing religious restrictions on public property violates DC's Human Rights Act. Not to mention violation of the separation of church mosque and state (though under Islam, mosque is state).

The New York Times' profile of the CityCenterDC project has mostly nothing new in it if you've been following the huge downtown project at all. But it does include this fascinating nugget about the requirements of its Qatari investors:

Even before the Qatari investors became involved, Hines and Archstone determined that leasing to banks would not help them create lively shopping streets, Mr. Alsup said. But as it happened, their hesitancy on bank branches meshed with the policies of their financial partners, who adhere to the restrictions of Shariah, or Islamic law, including the ban on collecting interest. Restaurants will be able to serve liquor, but retailers whose primary business involves selling alcohol will not be allowed, Mr. Alsup said.

In their marketing materials, Hines and Archstone say they intend to provide “an authentic place for urban residents to socialize outside their homes.”

So, no bars or banks for the biggest downtown construction project in recent memory! As Bill Alsup alluded to, banks aren't all that great for a city streetscape, and it's admirable that they planned to forego such a dependable and high-rent-paying tenant. It's less advantageous, though, to not have business devoted primarily to selling alcohol. CityCenterDC is unlikely to be plagued by liquor stores, but it could definitely use a few places to be out at night drinking without getting a full dinner. Could Qatari money turn CityCenterDC into more of a black hole than the last piece of the puzzle in a living downtown?

And the beat goes on. The Muslim Brotherhood continues to gain strength alongside several other Salafi groups. I foresee a coalition of the most radical groups taking control of Egypt after the September elections. The Salafis and Brotherhood are the most organized and well financed political entities in Egypt. While well meaning, the freedom and democracy groups are unorganized and inexperienced politically. Additionally, their idea of democracy still includes whatever form of government to be subject to Sharia law, similarly to the way Iran operates, and the rest of the "secular" Islamic world is moving.

As bad as Mubarick and company were, at least they were rational enough to play ball with the West and not make Jihadi waves. The new boys in town are another story and are driven by the Islamic need to dominate the world.

Strategy of how the West's worst fears will materialize

cAIRO— (MCT) Baheyya Ali, 65, nudged her way through a crowd that had gathered one recent evening to watch men with bushy beards heave cooking-gas canisters off a truck in a densely packed, trash-strewn Cairo neighborhood.

Her eyes widened when she learned that the men, Islamists from Egypt's conservative Salafi movement, were selling the cans for less than a dollar each, a deep discount from the usual price. She cursed the middlemen at state distribution centers who jack up the prices fivefold, and complained that the inflated price of cooking gas and other goods means she can't afford her medicines.

"Where's the revolution?" Ali muttered. "Where's the youth revolution?"

"Here it is," one of the Salafis told her gently, gesturing to the truckload of cheap fuel. She joined her neighbors in praising the men for easing their burden.

That scene from the hardscrabble Talbiya district is playing out in dozens, probably hundreds, of other teeming Egyptian neighborhoods where conservative Islamists are in charge of "popular committees," the ad hoc groups that have formed to guard citizens' interests in the bumpy transition since the fall of President Hosni Mubarak.

Islamist leaders say the work is simply charity, a formalization of their long-standing service projects.

But moderate and liberal political rivals consider the Salfis' charity to be part of a stealthy campaign for big Islamist wins in parliamentary elections later this year, and the Islamists themselves acknowledge inspiration from the electoral successes of other regional Islamist factions with charity wings: Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza and the Justice and Development Party in Turkey, for example.

"We live among the people," boasted Ashraf Naguib, a database programmer who's part of the Talbiya committee. "The liberals and secularists just talk on TV and in the media, in their air-conditioning. They don't feel the people," he added, echoing the Islamist complaint that their "Westernized," moderate political opponents spend more time on Facebook than in the streets.

An Islamist-dominated Egyptian government is a nightmare scenario for the U.S., which plied Mubarak with billions of dollars to keep regional stability and uphold the peace treaty with Israel.

Our Sharia-Compliant Afghan War

Mr. McCarthy points out the absurdity of fighting the Taliban on the one hand and allowing a Muslim soldier to claim conscientious objector status so he will not have to fight fellow Muslims. This is, in effect bowing to Sharia law which forbids one Muslim from fighting another except in very narrow cases. An analogy would be to allow a Christian conscientious objector status to avoid fighting other Christians.

This is the first step on a very slippery slope.

Our Sharia-Compliant Afghan War

Our policy in Afghanistan is part tragedy, part farce.

In a better time, when the burdens of war were shared by an engaged nation and not shouldered exclusively by military families making up less than 1 percent of the population, the high farce that is the Afghanistan mission would have been obvious before President Obama uttered one word on Wednesday night. All you’d need to know is the story that came to light the day before.

Turns out that the U.S. government has embraced a core tenet of sharia — that archaic corpus of Islamic law that Mitt Romney recently assured us would never gain traction in America. Patrick Poole reported at Pajamas Media on Tuesday that the secretary of the army has just granted “conscientious objector” status to Pfc. Nasser Abdo, a Muslim American soldier who refused to deploy to Afghanistan. Heeding the admonitions of CAIR and other Muslim Brotherhood operatives, the Pentagon accepts the claim that sharia forbids Muslims from assisting infidels in a war against Muslim forces in an Islamic land.

News Flash One: The war in Afghanistan, an Islamic land, is a war waged by infidels (that would be us) against Muslim forces — the Taliban, al-Qaeda, the Haqqani network, etc.

News Flash Two: The operating theory of the American counterinsurgency (COIN) strategy in Afghanistan is that the hearts and minds of the population of this tribal sharia society will side with us non-Muslims in a war against their fellow Muslims, most of whom are also their fellow Afghans.

Which is to say, our strategy is insane. (emphasis mine. ed.)

That does not mean our troops cannot kill a goodly number of jihadists. They have done that, and they will no doubt continue to do that as long as U.S. and allied forces remain in Afghanistan. Naturally, the number of terrorists we manage to get will dwindle as we draw down, while our diminishing numbers will make our own troops increasingly vulnerable to attack. But, sure, we can stick around forever, killing pockets of jihadists and overtaking their strongholds, however temporarily.

That, however, is not victory. It is an ever-worsening stalemate. Victory, under our chosen strategy, can never be achieved. That is why Obama, Gen. David Petreaeus, and COIN enthusiasts everywhere resist mention of the V-word.

“Victory” has been downgraded to “success,” but even success is not much discussed — and that is because, as conceived, success is a pipedream too. The idea is that we stay and hold the Taliban et al. at bay until we have finally trained enough Afghan soldiers and police officers to fight the Taliban for us. Because once we win over their hearts and minds, the theory goes, these Afghans will believe they are actually fighting the Taliban for themselves — fighting “their war,” not ours, as the heady plan was explained by Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the former theater commander and Kennedy School fellow who now teaches international relations at Yale. It’s all very cerebral, psychological, and sophisticated, the kind of war professors could love.

There’s just one problem with it. Okay, there’s a ton of problems, but let’s get to the big one: If we acknowledge that sharia is a valid reason not to send an American Muslim to fight against his fellow Muslims in Afghanistan, what on earth makes us think the Afghan Muslims are going to fight their fellow Afghan Muslims in furtherance of American national-security interests?

Legal Corner - Refusal to attend Friday prayer not religious discrimination

A breath of fresh air and common sense at last. A British employment tribunal has found that a Muslim's claim that he should be allowed to leave his job in order to pray at a Mosque was not supportable.

While the article does not delve into the employees reasons for believing he could just walk off the job, IMHO this is another case of jihadi lawfare waged to expand special accommodations for Muslims.

In Cherfi v G4S Security Services Ltd 0379/10, the Employment Appeal Tribunal held that an employer’s refusal to allow a Muslim security guard to leave a client’s site on Friday lunchtimes to attend Jum’ah prayers at the mosque did not amount to indirect religious discrimination. This is because the requirement for security guards to remain on site was objectively justified on account of legitimate business needs.

The employer had a security contract with the client at a particular site in Highgate at which Mr Cherfi, a Muslim, was posted. He regularly left the site on Friday lunchtimes to attend Finsbury Park Mosque for prayers.

In October 2008, G4S told Cherfi that he could no longer leave the Highgate site at lunchtimes, as G4S was contractually obliged to ensure that a specified number of security guards were present throughout operating hours. It suggested that Cherfi should work an amended work pattern of Monday to Thursday, with the option of working Saturday or Sunday but Cherfi did not wish to work at weekends and discussions did not result in agreement.

Thereafter, Cherfi stopped working Fridays, taking them off as sick leave, annual leave or authorised unpaid leave. In March 2009, G4S told him that this arrangement could not continue. Mr Cherfi subsequently brought a claim for indirect discrimination, arguing that Muslims were put at a particular disadvantage by the employer’s requirement for all security guards to remain on site on Friday lunchtimes.

An employment tribunal rejected his claim, deciding that the requirement was objectively justified. This was because G4S would suffer financial penalties and be at risk of losing the client contract if it failed to ensure that the requisite number of security guards were on site. With this in mind, G4S could only run its business properly and on a sound financial basis by engaging security guards working shifts of at least eight hours (i.e. the lunch period taken off by Cherfi could not be covered). Finally, although the requirement prevented him from attending prayers in congregation, there was a prayer room on site which he could use.

A Muslim woman shunned by her devout Muslim family for her "shameful" divorce dies a sudden death after "throwing herself on the floor" in front of her family, and it's classified an accident. That's what Florida law enforcement determined. No one was charged in the death of 48-year-old Fatima Abdallah in Florida. But there is evidence that she may have been a victim of Islamic honor killing, and that Tampa authorities are complicit in a cover-up.

Honor killing is the all too common Islamic practice in which a woman who has brought "shame" to the family is murdered to preserve family "purity." It should be exposed, investigated and stopped in the U.S. – not covered up. This is Shariah in America. The idea that a woman would die after she "threw herself to the floor" is institutionalized devaluation of women and tacit sanctioning of honor killing – in accord with Islamic law.

Medical examiner Laura Hair ruled Fatima Abdallah's death accidental. Deputy Police Chief Marc Hamlin said, "The bottom line is, no matter how long you investigate and no matter how much you investigate, it's not going to overrule the competent medical evidence that it was an accident." How do they know that? How is it more likely that she threw herself to the floor than she was fatally thrown to the floor?

Even worse, the Tampa Police report claims that Abdallah committed suicide by repeatedly striking her head against a coffee table. The idea defies logic, belies reality. There is a great deal of evidence that the Tampa Police investigation was drastically flawed and that the Police Department and medical examiner ignored numerous indications that Fatima Abdallah did not commit suicide or die in an accident, but was brutally assaulted.

Muslim pair, American citizens, accused of plotting anti-military attack

Two more natural born American converts to Islam have been apprehended while plotting to commit Jihad via a murderous terror attack. These two represent a movement brought here by the global Islamic jihad. mEATTLE — (MCT) A bankrupt janitor from Seattle who admired Osama bin Laden and a Los Angeles man who said he was going on jihad were accused of plotting to attack a military recruiting center as vengeance for violence committed against Afghan civilians, according to a federal complaint Thursday.

"Imagine how fearful America will be, and they'll know they can't push the Muslims around," Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif, 33, told an FBI informant, according to the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle.

Abdul-Latif, of Tukwila, Wash., also goes by Joseph Anthony Davis. He is accused of plotting with Walli Mujahidh, 32, of Los Angeles, also known as Frederick Domingue Jr., to drive up to the U.S. Military Entrance Processing Station in south Seattle in a truck with a battering ram "that looks like the Titanic," open fire with machine guns and grenades, and "take out anybody wearing green or a badge."

"This is what I'm gonna do: I'm gonna post guard. I'm gonna come in, pop-pop the security guard. Run into the cafeteria, lay everybody down in there. Pop-pop-pop-pop," Mujahidh said in a conversation monitored by the FBI.

But the plot was foiled late last month after the longtime acquaintance that Abdul-Latif had contacted to help him buy weapons went to the police, who turned over the case to the FBI. From then on, the planning was captured on video and audio tape.

Abdul-Latif told the informant he had $800 to $1,200 and wanted three guns, including fully automatic machine guns, and 10 hand grenades, according to the complaint. The informant took the money and placed an order.

On Wednesday night, he took the men to a warehouse garage in Seattle, where federal agents had placed three Colt M16-A1 assault rifles that had been rendered inoperable. There, they were taken into custody.

Anti-Islamist politician Geert Wilders cleared by Dutch court of inciting hatred

Right-wing politician Geert Wilders was today cleared by a Dutch court of inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims.

The court in Amsterdam ruled that Mr Wilders' anti-Islam statements, while offensive to many Muslims, fell within the bounds of legitimate political debate.

Presiding judge Marcel van Oosten said the politician's claims that Islam was violent by nature and his calls to halt Muslim immigration and ban the Koran must be seen in a wider context over immigration policy.

He also ruled that Mr Wilders' public statement could not be directly linked to increased discrimination against Dutch Muslims.

Mr Wilders did not react as the verdict was read out, but supporters in the public gallery hugged one another and clapped after his acquittal.

One of the most powerful and popular politicians in the Netherlands, Mr Wilders was accused of inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims through numerous public statements and with insulting them by comparing Islam with Nazism.

He said outside court: 'I'm incredibly happy with this acquittal on all counts.

'It's not only an acquittal for me, but a victory for freedom of expression in the Netherlands.

'Fortunately, you're allowed to discuss Islam in public debate and you're not muzzled in public debate. An enormous burden has fallen from my shoulders.'

CAIR Loses IRS Status

One for the Gipper. CAIR loses it's IRS charitable tax deduction status for not filing necessary disclosures. And no wonder, CAIR does not want the extent of Saudi and other Islamist money doantions made public.

CAIR Loses IRS Status

Why is this group still given credibility, by the media and others?

Donations to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) no longer are tax deductible after the organization was among 275,000 tax-exempt organizations purged earlier this month by the Internal Revenue Service.

The groups failed to file required annual reports, known as form 990s, detailing their revenues and expenses, for three consecutive years. CAIR had been a non-profit on its own, but in 2007, the IRS approved a separate tax-exempt CAIR Foundation. The foundation never filed any subsequent reports. Both the foundation and CAIR national are on the purge list.

CAIR has 30 state chapters throughout the country, many of which have their own non-profit designations which remain active.

While the IRS believes most of the organizations stripped of status have shut down, those still operating can apply for reinstatement. Meanwhile, CAIR's web site continues to solicit donations by touting them as tax deductible https://www.cair.com/support/
two weeks after the IRS issued the list and notifications were sent to all 275,000 purged groups.

Donors still could deduct the money on their tax returns if CAIR is reinstated between now and April 15. All the purged organizations have 15 months to seek reinstatement. But it is unclear whether CAIR will file the required papers or whether their explanation about past reporting failures will be enough to satisfy the IRS.

CHAKWAL: An additional district and sessions judge in Talagang sentenced a man to death on Tuesday for committing blasphemy.

Judge Rana Zahoor Ahmad also imposed a fine of Rs50,000 on 29-year-old Abdul Sattar, a resident of Larkana, who was sent to prison in Jhelum.

Mohammad Saeed, of Talagang town, had filed a complaint with the city police station on Feb 5 last year. He said he had been receiving derogatory text messages and calls from a wrong number for several days. He told police that contents of the messages and conversation of the caller blasphemed Holy Quran, Prophet (PBUH) and Sahabas (companions of the Prophet).

A case was registered and District Police Officer Syed Ali Mohsin set up a special inquiry committee, headed by then Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Malik Matloob.

The committee collected data of calls and text messages sent by a cell number belonging to Abdul Sattar.

“We took permission from the home department for a raid in Larkana and arrested the accused,” SP Matloob told Dawn on phone from Rawalpindi.

He said Sattar had confessed to have committed the crime. “The accused behaved quite normally when arrested,” the SP added.

Four men named in a gang-rape case were arrested on Monday after the family of the 13-year-old victim blocked the National Highway to protest against the police for failing to arrest them.

Rusksana* was raped and paraded in streets on Saturday allegedly by two sons of a local landlord, their friend and an uncle.

SHO Aslam Ghumman said that the families stopped the agitation only after they were assured that the accused will not be released until the investigation of the case was complete. However, he said that nothing had been established so far. Vehari DPO Nasir Ali Rizvi told The Express Tribune that a detailed inquiry will be required before the matter was taken to the court.

Victims’ brother, Ahsan, has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take a suo motto notice of the case.

According to the complaint filed with the police, Rukhsana was kidnapped from Chak 88 on her way home from the canal where she had gone to wash clothes with her mother. She said she was gang-raped by Javed and Irfan, sons of an influential landlord; their uncle Ijaz; and their friend Imran. She was then paraded naked in the streets.

Rukhsana told police that she had tried to escape, but her kidnappers had pursued and caught her.

“They tore my clothes and tried to drag me back into the house,” she said. She said two women, mother and sister-in-law of the accused, had also joined the men and beaten her with iron rods.

“Some people came to my help and somebody called my mother, but they wouldn’t stop,” she said.

Surayya, the victim’s mother, said she was called by a neighbour. She said she thought her daughter had gone back to the canal.

“I rushed to the scene and begged them to let her go. I covered her with my shawl but they tore it away too. Some people in the neighbourhood then helped me bring her home.”

Police said that Ahsan had had a scuffle with Javed and Irfan a few days ago. They said the two bothers had threatened him of dire consequences. Some neighbours had had to intervene.

The police were reluctant to take any step against the accused, he said.

On Monday, the residents of the area and relatives of the victim gathered on the National Highway to protest against the police.

The accused have denied the charges and claimed that Ahsan had entered their house and tried to rape their sister. They said he had accused them to cover up the matter.

Determined disinterest in our own destruction

During the Cold War, America faced an implacable enemy, driven by a supremacist ideology that called for, among other things, the use of an array of covert front groups, stealthy techniques and subversive activities to achieve our destruction. For many years, our effort to defeat Soviet communism featured a concerted counterintelligence effort aimed at ferreting out and defeating such sedition.

Unfortunately, America now faces once again an implacable enemy, driven by a supremacist ideology that calls for, among other things, the use of an array of covert front groups, stealthy techniques and subversive activities to achieve our destruction. In the place of the Soviet Union and the influence operations run by its intelligence service, the KGB, and the Communist International (Comintern), we confront the Islamic doctrine known as Shariah and the Muslim Brotherhood, which serves as the principal engine for extending its reach.

It seems, however, that we have no counterintelligence effort comparable to that of the Cold War or remotely commensurate with today's threat. Indeed, based on the evidence of successful penetration and influence operations being run by the Muslim Brotherhood these days, one would be tempted to conclude that counterintelligence has effectively ceased to be part of our tool kit in keeping America safe and free.

Consider just a few of many worrying examples:

* When President Obama engaged in his latest "outreach to the Muslim world" at the State Department last month, seated in the front row next to the secretary of state was Imam Mohamed Magid. Iman Magid happens to be the president of the largest Muslim Brotherhood organization in the country, the Islamic Society of North America. As with the White House's insistence that Muslim Brotherhood representatives be included in the audience during the president's Cairo 2009 address, the message could not be any clearer: Far from perceiving the Muslim Brotherhood as what it is - an organization determined to destroy the United States and the rest of the free world - Team Obama sees its members as reliable partners.

* That message was being reinforced at this writing when, on Monday, senior U.S. government officials sat down with an assortment of Muslim Brotherhood operatives and groups under the auspices of the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. Prince Alwaleed, a major benefactor of Brotherhood causes and enabler of its own and similar Islamist influence operations, endowed his center at Georgetown University with a gift of $20 million. The investment is paying handsome dividends as it affords the Muslim Brotherhood a vehicle for using "interfaith dialogue" as a means of legitimating and promoting its personnel and agendas.

* In 2009, the Muslim Public Affairs Council - an organization that counterterror expert Patrick Poole describes as the "political lobbying arm of the U.S. Brotherhood" - boasted that it was "consulted" by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa about his choice of police chief. Such a political stroke may have something to do with the Muslim Brotherhood threat being downplayed by Los Angeles Police Department Deputy Chief Michael Downing, who testified last week before Rep. Peter T. King's House Homeland Security Committee about Islamist "radicalization" in the U.S. prison system.

* Meanwhile, part of the job of performing background checks for U.S. security clearances has been contracted out to companies incentivized to help clean up a serious backlog. According to employees, they are given quotas of cases to process with one company requiring as many as 20 per day. Does anyone seriously believe this is a formula for properly vetting personnel?

Meanwhile, there is an issue requiring serious vetting with problems dating back to the bad old Cold War days. The United States Senate is poised to confirm as the next secretary of defense a man who, back during James Angleton's days, would have been considered a security threat.

Thanks to intrepid reporting by Cliff Kincaid, we now know that during his days as a congressman from California, Leon E. Panetta had close personal ties to communist agents and spies. At no point has he disavowed such relationships or expressed remorse for any help he may have provided them. Neither has any senator indicated concern about the problematic judgment or security risks that might be associated with such a Pentagon chief.

The question occurs: Can we possibly hope to survive our time's ideologically driven subversion - let alone prevail over it - if we systematically disregard the threat its adherents pose here at home? We need to reconstitute the sort of serious counterintelligence capability and practice that we have employed to great effect in the past. Continuing to do otherwise is to invite, if not assure, our destruction.

It's looking more and more like the Muslim Brotherhood is on a full court press in the Middle East. Not only are they on the verge of taking over Egypt, they're active in Tunisia, Libya, Syria and Yemen.

The Arab Spring is turning out to be the Muslim Brotherhood's foot in the door. Where this is going is hard to tell, but the Saudis and Iranians will both be watching and preparing to deal with a stronger than ever MB. There will be a three way tug of war destabilizing the Middle East and so the world.

In my most recent book, The Coming Revolution: Struggle for Freedom in the Middle East (completed July 4, 2010), I argued that civil societies in the Greater Middle East (GME) and Arab World had reached a “critical stage” in their repudiation of all authoritarian forms of government: regime, theocracy, military and ultra-nationalist. The projections therein were based on a thorough study of antecedent Cedars and Green Revolutions in Lebanon (2005) and Iran (2009) respectively, both with limpid narratives, particularly online, and both auguring a continuation of bottom-up, regime-crumbling uprisings in the region.

Even before the region’s revolutionary meltdowns began, our findings were accompanied by a sober warning—a grueling contest would ensue between the dispersed and disorganized proponents of liberal democratic reform and the Islamists, led by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). Indeed, as soon as the uprisings erupted on the streets of Tunis and Cairo, the Islamist political machine went into high gear. With Al Jazeera’s influential backing and the support of Qatar’s “diplomatic duo” and Turkey’s Adalet ve Kalkinma Partisi (AKP) (English: Justice and Development Party), the region’s mostly-Sunni Islamist movements gradually rose from the bottom and seized the initiative.

U.S. in talks with Taliban in move that could end the war in Afghanistan

I agree that we should get out of Afghanistan, but talking with the Taliban should have nothing to do with it.  Negotiating with them only gives them legitimacy.  These talks are only a means for the US to withdraw and claim all is well.  However, when the Taliban comes roaring back, the country will descend into the 7th century Islamic barbarism it had before 2001 under the Taliban.

We should simply withdraw all our troops and support personnel ASAP, burn or destroy anything we cannot remove and seize all their funds in Western banks.

The U.S. and other countries are in preliminary talks with the Taliban about a possible settlement that could end the Afghan war.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai revealed the development today. It is the first official confirmation of U.S. involvement in negotiations. 

Diplomats have already said there have been months of preliminary talks between the two sides, and Karzai, who is a strong advocate of peace talks, has long said Afghans are in contact with insurgent groups. 

'Peace talks are going on with the Taliban. The foreign military and especially the United States itself is going ahead with these negotiations,' the leader told a news conference in the Afghan capital.

The U.S. Embassy in Kabul declined to comment immediately.

Karzai was speaking the day after the U.N. Security Council split the U.N. sanctions list for Taliban and al Qaeda figures into two, which envoys said could help induce the Taliban into talks on a peace deal in Afghanistan.   

Despite hopes that talks with the Taliban could provide the political underpinning for the U.S. staged withdrawal from Afghanistan, the discussions are still not at the stage where they can be a deciding factor.

Was Huma Abedin, the wife of Anthony Weiner and the Deputy Chief of Staff to Hillary Clinton, unaware that her mother was reported as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood? Is it possible she does not know that her brother is tied to the Brotherhood’s radical leadership? Did Western media miss what has been revealed in several Arab newspapers, which has remained secret in American government circles?

Al-Liwa Al-Arabi (translated here) claims to have leaked an extensive list of members of the Brotherhood’s secret women’s division, which is known alternately as the Muslim Sisterhood or the International Women’s Organization (IWO). This detailed list was partially published by Al Jazeera and several other major Arab newspapers. And it included Huma’s mother, Saleha Abedin.

Egypt’s Al-Dostor revealed that the Sisterhood included 63 International members that span 16 different countries; it’s also confirmed by the Arab Centre for Research and Studies, headed by researcher Abdul Rahim Ali.

Neither Huma nor any major Western media outlet even mention what is common knowledge in the Arab world. Yet, Arab sources have confirmed that Huma Abedin has a brother named Hassan Abedin who works at Oxford University. Oxford University, which has long been infiltrated by Islamists who founded the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS), lists Huma’s brother as a fellow and partners with a number of Muslim Brotherhood members on the Board, including al-Qaeda associate Omar Naseef and the notorious Muslim Brotherhood leader Sheikh Youssef Qaradawi; both have been listed as OCIS Trustees. Naseef continues to serve as Board Chairman.

In 2009, Qaradawi’s role within Oxford and the Muslim Brotherhood was championed by the notorious Sheikh Rached Ghannouchi of Al-Nahda – a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate now active in Tunisia. OCIS has even presented an award for great scholarly achievement to Brotherhood member Shaykh Abd Al-Fattah Abu Gudda, whose personal history goes back to the Brotherhood’s founder, Hasan al-Banna.

Georgetown University has some explaining to do based on documents obtained exclusively by PJM from a confidential law enforcement source. The documents reveal a scheme to pass $325,000 through the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has been identified by the FBI as a front for the Hamas terrorist organization. The money was paid to Georgetown by the 57-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to promote its “Islamophobia” agenda, which includes its stated international objective of criminalizing any criticism of Islam.

Even more troubling: evidence that Georgetown is not the only American university to cooperate with CAIR and the OIC in their joint plan to subvert the First Amendment right to free speech.

The plot was apparently initiated in 2006 by discussions between the OIC, CAIR, and Georgetown’s Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (CMCU). An email dated November 20, 2006, sent from OIC permanent observer to the UN Abdul Wahab to Nihad Awad and Hadia Mubarak — a CAIR board member and Georgetown CMCU “senior researcher” — urged them to expedite arrangements. The email also promised that funds would be transferred to Georgetown as soon as the OIC received a letter from John Esposito, director of Georgetown’s CMCU.

Abdul Wahab’s email was followed up with a January 11, 2007, joint letter from CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad and John Esposito, which is referenced in a January 15, 2007, letter of reply from OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu (the letter is misdated as 2006). The letter offered $325,000 in cash from the OIC to finance an “Islamophobia” symposium to be convened at Georgetown University.

The OIC is the second largest intergovernmental body in the world behind the United Nations. It comprises every Islamic country in the world at the head of state level. OIC Secretary General Ihsanoglu said last year that the OIC functions as the Islamic global caliphate and embodies the “Islamic solidarity” of the ummah. Included as an agenda item in the OIC’s 10 year plan — stated in English on their own website — is to push for the international criminalization of Islamophobia (1.VII), in defiance of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights protections of freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

About Libya.

Libya is just the latest domino in the Islamist movement.  The so called “democracy” movement has nothing to do with anything remotely resembling the idea of Western democracy.  An Arabs idea of democracy is that they get to elect their Mullahs who in turn enforce Sharia law.

In case no ones noticed, Islamists of one flavor or another have been taking over/agitating in one country/region after another.  Hezbollah has just assumed power in Lebanon, Hamas controls Gaza, Fattah controls the West Bank, the Muslim Brotherhood is poised to take over in Egypt, al Qaeda is in the wings in Libya and Iraq is still an Islamic state. 

Syria and Yemen are under severe pressure and who takes over is a crap shoot.  Turkey is moving back to the days of the Ottoman Empire.

Not to mention Iran.  Or South Asia.  Or Malaysia, Indonesia and southern Philippines.

It does not bode well for the West.

The General Accountant of the Palestinian Authority, Yusef Al-Zumar, said Monday that the PA is having difficulty paying its employees because Arab states are not giving it the financial aid that they promised it.
In 2010, he said, the PA only received $280 million of the $960 million promised by the Arabs. In 2011, which is almost half over, it has received no money at all.

Al-Zumar spelled out his woes in a meeting Monday that included Ali Al-Jarbawi, the PA’s Minister for Administrative Planning and Development, and Mariam Sherman, the World Bank Director in the PA.

Al-Zumar singled out the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, which he said transferred very small sums in 2010, compared to previous years. Qatar, he said, gave no aid at all in 2008 and 2009, and only a little aid in 2010.

According to PA news agency WAFA, the World Bank promised to grant $20 million to the PA for rebuilding infrastructures in Gaza. In addition, it will hand over the annual $55 million in aid.

Al-Jarbawi told Sherman that the PA would continue to build institutions of government with the Bank’s help.

PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said last year that the PA received $1.2 billion in foreign aid in 2010 and that this aid is expected to drop further in 2011 to $1 billion. The financial aid comes from United States, Japan, Canada, Norway, Germany, Sweden, Spain and France. The European Union also contributes aid to the PA, with a budget in 2010 equivalent to about $370 million.

The EU bailed out the PA last year after it spent 50% of the cash that was allotted for the entire year, in just three months.

Since the signing of the Oslo Accords, the PA has been the entity receiving the highest foreign aid per capita in the world.

In August 2009, ten people died, eight burnt alive. Four churches were destroyed. Threats against Christian witnesses force them to flee to avoid further violence. Muslim leader says Christians “deserve” to be murdered. Catholic priest wonders whether minorities will ever have justice.

Lahore (AsiaNews) – Pakistan’s fundamentalists are rejoicing following the acquittal verdict. The country’s Christian minority is “under shock” because, this time as well, the massacre of innocent victims done in the name of the infamous blasphemy law will go unpunished. The justice system also shows its powerlessness vis-à-vis extremists who can carry out heinous crimes with total impunity, whilst the government remains silent. Meanwhile, a Muslim religious leader publicly says that Christians “deserve” to be murdered.

A Pakistani anti-terrorism court acquitted 70 people who, in various roles, were involved in the Gojra massacre of August 2009 (see Fareed Khan, “Eight Christians burned alive in Punjab,” in AsiaNews, 2 August 2009). The anti-Christian violence broke out following blasphemy allegations. During a wedding, a group of Christians supposedly burnt pages of the Qur‘an, a pretext used to strike at the religious minority.

During the attack by hundreds of extremists (brought in by bus and trucks), ten people died, eight burnt alive. Four churches and various homes were also set on fire.

Following the Gojra attack, instead of arresting the culprits, police, twisting the facts, took into custody a number of Christians for attacking the “other group”. The unjustly jailed Christians were eventually released but after several months.

According to the court, the acquittal last Tuesday was due to the absence of Christian witnesses in the courtroom and the lack of evidence against the accused.

Sources close to the Catholic Church in Lahore, on condition of anonymity, said, “Christian witnesses were under constant threats meant to force them to withdraw their accusations”.

Two of the 70 people acquitted were released the day before the sentence. The other 68 had already been released on bail some time ago.

The main complainant, Phanias Masih, had to flee Pakistan last year along with his family, fearing more violence.

Fr Yaqoob Yousaf, vicar at Gojra’s Sacred Heart parish, told AsiaNews that “Masih and a couple of other key witnesses fled before February” when community leaders “reached a compromise to have the case withdrawn”.

Fr Habib Xavier, from the Diocese of Lahore, the verdict is “shocking”, similar to the Shanti Nagar affair in 1998 when a Muslim mob burnt 25,000 houses. At the time, the accused were also released on bail. “Today, we see the people who burn homes and kill the innocent go free. It was supposed to be fair trial,” he said. “Will minorities ever get justice?”

However, to understand the madness and power of the extremists, it is sufficient to listen to the words of Maulana Kashmiri, a Muslim leader in Punjab.

“There are no witnesses because they [the Christians] know that they are wrong. We got justice. Even though none of us did it, Christians still deserve it [death], because they are blasphemers.”

The "Muslims First" Foreign Policy

In France, American embassies and consulates have been directed to "empower" Muslim and push for the passage of "social reforms" that will benefit them. In the UK, American diplomats were directed to again "empower" Muslims and made outreach to them a top priority. In Israel, the US consulate in Jerusalem caters only to Muslims and does its best to pretend that Jews and Israel don't even exist. And when Obama visited Greece, what else did he do but push the political and religious authorities to open more mosques and Islamic schools. America's own interests and our obligations to our allies have been put aside to focus on a single goal of overriding importance. Pandering to the Muslim world. It's as if we have no other foreign policy goal anymore beyond keeping Muslims happy.

The United States has its first Special Representative to Muslim Communities in the person of Farah Pandith. We also have Rashad Hussain, a Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. (No relation to Barack Hussein Obama. The name Hussain is common among Muslims as a tribute to Mohammed's grandson, Hussain ibn Ali, the 'Martyr Of Martyrs' in Islam.) Hussain (Rashad, not Barack) had ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, which helped create both Al Qaeda and Hamas, and defended Islamic Jihad leader Sami Al-Arian. Farah Pandith is a Kashmiri Muslim who began her career as Barbara Bush's secretary. But just creating two new Muslim posts in the diplomatic sector isn't enough.

NASA Administrator Bolden told Al Jazeera that the agency's new priority is outreach to Muslims. After gutting NASA and killing its space program, the agency focused on its new top priority by appointing Waleed Abdalati, as its new Chief Scientist. Waleed Abdalati is a twofer, as a Muslim and a Global Warming researcher. So the Obama Administration gets to kill off the space program and replace it with Global Warming junk science headed by a Muslim. It's what the devil would call synergy.

Is any of this working? Does the Muslim world love us now? No they don't. And France, the UK, Israel and Greece like us less for tampering with their internal affairs at Muslim instigation. All the outreach in the world can't help, because it's not outreach, it's pandering. Not only is it condescending, but it sends a message of weakness and desperation. When we pressure our allies on behalf of Muslims, we're sending them a signal that our first priority is fulfilling the marching orders we received from the Muslim world. And this not only fragments our traditional alliances, but it encourages Muslim regimes to support further acts of terrorism to improve their position.

Since 9/11 we have sunk billions of dollars into the Muslim world. Usually we had to defeat a country in a war before we began rebuilding them, but now we rush to throw money at hellholes like Pakistan and Indonesia where human rights is a punchline and the mass murder of non-Muslims is an ongoing event.

Taking a look at the fortunes we have plowed into Taliban's godfathers in Pakistan, the round the clock duty that American soldiers perform securing and rebuilding Afghanistan and Iraq, the death grip that Bin Laden's own adoptive Saudi royal family has on our foreign policy, our bankrolling of the Palestinian Authority, not to mention the money that we paid and are still paying to Baathist and Taliban terrorists in exchange for not attacking us-- and even the least terrorist prone country in the Muslim world can't help but think that it could do better for itself by bombing us, than by trying to be our friend.

This frantic flurry of outreach reveals that we consider Islam to be the primary threat to global stability and a major national security threat. The positive image reveals the negative. We're so obsessed with pandering to Muslims because we're afraid of them. The Muslim world knows it, and gloats, when it isn't busy acting offended. The American public knows it too, even behind the camouflage tarp of learning about other cultures, that we're trying to defuse the violence. But trying to defuse violence through appeasement is not a good strategy unless you're willing to go all the way to Dhimmitown.

By enslaving our foreign policy to Islamic interests, we're already much of the way there. Chief Justice Stephen Breyer has adopted a new Constitutional understanding of free speech, in which you're free to say what you want as long as it doesn't run the risk of getting Muslims violently angry. In Europe you can be arrested for yodeling even in the shadow of the Alps-- if it offends a Muslim. A 21st century revival of The Sound of Music might now feature the Von Trapp family escaping into the mountains only to end up under arrest because some immigrant from Algeria, Morocco or Turkey was offended because the sound of "The Lonely Goatherd" resembled his own prayers to Allah a little too much.

What does this have to do with foreign policy? Everything. If we treat the Muslims of the world as a collective group always balanced on the edge of exploding, then there is no more difference between foreign and domestic policy when it comes to Muslims. Accordingly every Western country with a Muslim minority must pursue only Muslim approved policies at home and abroad. If Thailand, Israel or India begin fighting Muslim terrorism-- they must join in on the Muslim side. If France passes a Burqa ban, then the United States must begin lobbying to overturn it. If Danish cartoons in a local newspaper offend Muslims, then the Prime Minister of Denmark must be compelled to apologize for his country's free speech before being allowed to become NATO's Secretary General.

The combination of Muslim terrorism and immigration eradicates all differences between foreign and domestic policies. There is only one policy. A Muslim policy. And the bottom line of the Muslim policy is that Muslims get what they want. At any cost. Any price. Freedom, morality, loyalty, national values and human rights are dispensable now. Appeasing Muslims is not.

Appeasing Muslims had tied the free world in an infernal knot. Each country pressures its own citizens and other countries to do whatever Muslims want. This would be unjustifiable even if it worked, but the damnedest thing of all, is that it doesn't actually discourage Muslim violence. It actually encourages it. And why not? If countries pandered to murderers, rapists and robbers instead of putting them in prison-- would there be less murders, rapes and robberies. Or would there be more?

The only way we can justify our craven appeasement is through the belief in the discredited Blowback Theory of Muslim violence. The Blowback Theory holds that Muslim violence is only retaliatory. That every time Muslims kill people, it's only because they're retaliating for a wrong done to them. Whether that wrong be a Predator drone taking out a terrorist (who was only retaliating for being yodeled at), drawing a cartoon of an illiterate 7th century pedophile worshiped by a billion people with deficient morals, or some battle fought 600 years ago. Whatever it may be-- the Blowback Theory holds that Muslims are always in the right to kill us. And we're always in the wrong to defend ourselves against being killed.


The corollary to the Blowback Theory is the Infinite Muslim Terrorists Theory. The Infinite Muslim Terrorists Theory holds that every Muslim grievance creates new terrorists. Like an angel getting its wings every time a bell rings, the Infinite Muslim Terrorists Theory warns us that every time we offend Muslims, it bring forth new terrorists. And shooting them does no good. Because shooting terrorists only offends Muslims even more. And that generates still more terrorists. Kill a terrorist and four more take his place. And if the process keeps going, there will eventually be more Muslim terrorists in the world than there are Muslims, causing the entire world to implode into the event horizon of a singularity.

The paradox of the Infinite Muslim Terrorists Theory is that it insists that the vast majority of Muslims is peaceful, and yet threatens that every single one of those peaceful people can be converted into homicidal maniacs if we're not careful. And when combined with Blowback Theory, it puts the blame for the instant terrorist conversion on us. Like Gremlins that we're afraid of feeding after midnight, we take care to step lightly around Muslims, for fear that they will suddenly turn into monsters bent on killing us. Such thinking might be considered bigoted, but with Blowback Theory we know that if they do turn into homicidal monsters, it will be entirely 100 percent our fault.

Project this mode of conduct on a global scale, and this is what our foreign policy looks like. All our envoys to Islam. Our Muslims First foreign policy. Our retrofitting of policymaking at every level to accommodate the whims of the prophet's beard. And for all the cringing and crawling, appeasing and advocating, the violence continues to grow. Because you can end violence by taking a firm stand, not by falling to your knees.

Prominent Muslim "American" Businesses Celebrate "Legacy" of Khomeini

On Monday, I told you about the large group of “moderate,” “American” Muslims who celebrated, honored, and memorialized the late Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of Hezbollah and the man who sent his Iranian henchmen to take over the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and hold Americans hostage for 444 days.  I showed you the video on which these Muslims praised Khomeini for, among other things, “bringing America to its knees.”  Yup, as I’ve been saying repeatedly for more than a decade, this is how the so-called “moderate,” “loyal,” “American” Muslims really feel, and now they are feeling brave enough to say it openly–that they hate this country and praise those who would destroy it.  But this isn’t just in Washington, DC, at the Iranian Interests Section of the Pakistani Embassy, where the ceremony took place over the weekend.

In Dearbornistan, thousands of Shi’ite Muslims also celebrated Khomeini–the man bent on America’s destruction.  They had a huge banquet, prayer service, and even made their kids learn about the guy’s life and compete in a Khomeini quiz competition.  The event was called, “Khomeini:  A Legacy of Revolution, 22nd Anniversary of Demise.”  (By the way, part of that “Legacy of Revolution” was taking Americans hostage for more than a year.  Over the weekend, the DebbieSchlussel.com team in Dearbornistan found the posters for this event, above, posted prominently in a number of large, successful, Shi’ite Muslim-owned businesses in Dearbornistan.  Again, celebrating this founder of an Islamic terrorist group who took Americans hostage for more than a year–that’s the true ethos of “American” Muslims, who are really just Muslims who happen to be in America.  It’s a place on a map for them, not a place they love or with which they identify.  Note that this took place at a large, prominent mosque, the Islamic Institute of Knowledge

LAHORE -- In Pakistan forced conversions to Islam, rapes and forced marriages are on the rise.

According to a story by Agenzia Fides (the information service of the Pontifical Mission Societies), the victims are mostly Hindu and Christian girls, belonging to religious minorities. The information came from Fides' local sources.

Fides said this has been a worrying phenomenon for the Church in Pakistan for some time, and one that the Church is trying to address. It is looking for institutional cooperation, but the process is an uphill battle.

"The Christian girls are the weakest and most vulnerable, because their communities are poor, defenseless and marginalized, therefore easily exposed to harassment and threats. Often they do not even have the courage to denounce the violence," a sister told Fides.

The sister hides and assists the girls who have managed to escape, Fides said.

The sister said, "But the trend is worrying: There are hundreds of cases a year registered and those that come to light are only a fraction."

Fides said in a society that tolerates discrimination of religious minorities, especially of women, the dominant religion and related social position are used to impose tyranny.

Muslim Cleric’s Alarming Call for Banning Bibles in Pakistan

June 9, 2011 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) - International Christian Concern (ICC) is alarmed by a call to ban the Bible in Pakistan. On May 30, Muslim clerics and politicians held a press conference in Lahore calling on Pakistan’s Supreme Court to ban the Bible because of its allegedly blasphemous scriptures.

Maulana Abdul Rauf Farooqi, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, an Islamic political party with a large number of followers, claimed that the Bible contains passages that are extremely insulting to Islam’s prophets.

The scriptures that the Muslims consider blasphemous include: the story of the Last Supper, Jesus’ prayer at Gethsemane, the story about David committing adultery with Bathsheba, the story about Israel worshipping the golden calf, and Jacob’s marriage to Leah.

Stating his motive in calling for the ban, Farooqi said that the burning of the Qur’an by American pastor Terry Jones in Florida on March 20 had crushed the spirit of the Muslims and that Muslims were extremely angry over it.

“The Bible is a universal truth and Christians need not to worry at all [about the threat to ban it]. Such threats against Christianity have been happening since the inception of the faith. Being true believers, we should encourage and pray for one another to face such circumstances, and be firm in our faith. We should protest peacefully, keeping in mind that our real weapon is prayer,” said Reverend Arif Siraji in an interview with ICC. Reverend Siraji is a leader in a Presbyterian church in Pakistan.

ICC’s Regional Manager for South Asia, Jonathan Racho, said, “We are concerned by this call to the Bible in Pakistan. This demand by the Islamists is additional evidence of the worsening persecution of Christians in Pakistan. We ask all concerned individuals to urge their governments to pressure Pakistan to not ban the Bible.”

Nepali women victims of prostitution and slavery in Arab countries

Hundreds of women emigrated for work to Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan and other Islamic countries, and have not been heard from for years. Those who succeed in returning home shows signs of physical exhaustion, injuries and are often infected with AIDS.

Kathmandu (AsiaNews) - Hundreds of Nepalese women who emigrate to Arab countries in search of better jobs and wages, are unaccounted for. According to husbands and relatives they become victims of prostitution and slavery. The migrants who manage to return, show signs of physical exhaustion, injuries, psychological damage and are often infected with AIDS. To resolve this tragic situation, the Government of Nepal wants to block migration to Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan where most cases are registered. In 2010, 242 women emigrated for work and were never heard of again.

Devi Lal Sunar, from the village of Sanoshree (Bardia district), has had no news of his wife Shanti in three years and is concerned about her safety. "Ten years ago - he says - a neighbour convinced my wife to leave for Kuwait, helping her to migrate across India." Devi said that the last contact with his wife Shanti took place about three years ago. On the phone she said that the landlord did not allow her to leave, that he tortured and beat her when she tried to contact the house and did not give her a salary. "I called Kuwait several times - he says - a voice with an Indian accent always answers and refuses to let me speak to my wife." The man claims to have done everything to bring his wife home, and in recent years has sold most of his property and now has no money to feed his two children.

Lila Thapa, a woman of 35, recently returned to her village of Katarn (Bardia), after seven years working as a maid in Kuwait. "Working in Arab countries is very risky and difficult - she says - cases of abuse and exploitation are rife." The woman points out that she had never been sexually abused, however, she claims to have been exploited and poorly paid for all her stay in Kuwait.

According to Maiti Nepal, an association against the trafficking of women, alleged disappearance are still rising. In eight years we have gone from three cases in 2002 to 242 in 2010. The growth is mainly due to increased migration to the Arab countries that attract women aged 25 to 35 years with jobs as nurses, domestic helpers and caregivers. However, many of them are sold as prostitutes in brothels or are employed in private homes as domestic servants-slaves and subjected to constant abuse by employers.

Suicidal Dhimmitude: Norway Invites Taliban for Peace Talks

Well, Norway is only following the example of Dhimmi in Chief B. Hussein Obama who has been in direct talks with the Taliban terrorists since the autumn of 2010.  It's chilling that so many Western nations are willing to talk with people dedicated to imposing Sharia law on every human being on earth.  People who were willing to die to do so and people who are happy to kill anyone who opposes them.

Burhanuddin Rabbani, former Afghan president and chairman of the Afghan High Peace Council, told BBC Persian Sunday that Norway had invested large amounts of money and had invited Taliban delegations to Norway several times recently for talks.

Nine Norwegian soldiers were killed in Afghanistan, most of them by the Taliban. UN envoy Siri Skare was also killed in a Taliban attack.

Helge Lurås of the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), says it’s clear Norway has a political interest in a reconciliation process, but that he doesn’t know how far it’s gotten. He also points out that it’s not certain that the strategy of the Norwegian authorities complies with that of the US and UK.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had no comment.

No wonder. These treacherous backstabbers from Norway should hang their heads in shame – and do a little research on the Islamic concepts of Taqiyya and Hudna.

Afgoye — Fighters loyal to al-Shabaab have seized some15 women in Afgoye district in Lower Shabelle region, 30 kilometers south of Mogadishu.

The women were accused of taking part at a wedding party in the town of Afgoye with shouting and loud voice.

All apprehended women were taken into custody as officials of Al shabaab said the women have publicly overjoyed and shout.

Al shabaab believes women can't up their voices during the participation of wedding parties.

Al-Shabaab also captured on Monday 10 teens in the IDPs camps just outside of Mogadishu, a shelter for tens of thousands of Mogadishu people. They all charged with playing football.

Taif Hai’a breaks maid’s ‘5-sister workload’ spell

TAIF: The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (the Hai’a) has said it has broken a spell that a housemaid in Taif put on the five daughters of the elderly man she was employed to look after.

Muhammad Fari’, head of the Hai’a’s Shihar District branch in Taif, said the maid cast a spell on the women, who live with their husbands and children in other parts of the country, to stop them visiting and increasing her workload.
“They would visit with husbands and children during the holidays and it would appear that their numerous demands during those visits led to her putting the spell on them to stop them visiting their father,” Fari’ said. “The Hai’a in Shihar stepped in to break the spell and return affairs to their normal course.”

Fari’ said that foreigners, and particularly women, were responsible for acts of magic in Saudi Arabia.
“These practices are foreign to the Saudi society,” he said.

Islamic radicals are in schools, government report says

It's about time the British government realizes that there are Islamic radicals throughout their education system, not to mention government itself.  The following article is a sad illustration of the clueless Brtitish governments response to the invasion.  Let this be a lesson to the rest of the West.

Unfortunately, the same is happening throughout Europe and North America.  Islamization has been going on for 30 plus years and we, the West are allowing it to happen like the hapless frog in a pot of slowly heated water.  Political Correctness and the fear of being branded a raciest have held back an open and honest assessment of the Islamic invasion.  Until we stand up for out values and nations, we will continue to be subverted by Islam.

Islamic radicals are in schools, government report says

Schools have been employing Islamist radicals and encouraging extremism, a government report has claimed.

Its new counter-radicalisation strategy, Prevent, warned that some people who are supportive of terrorist groups and ideologies have “sought and sometimes gained positions in schools or in groups which work closely with young people.”

It said that new standards to be enforced by Ofsted should enable schools to take action against staff who demonstrate unacceptable views.

The Education Bill will also include a stronger focus on pupils’ “spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.”

The Prevent strategy quotes the example of Mohammed Sidique Khan, the leader of the July 7 bombers, who was a learning mentor at Hillside Primary School in Leeds.

Another example, not quoted, is that of Zahoor Iqbal, who was found guilty of helping a man planning to kidnap and execute a British soldier in Birmingham, and worked as an “achievement mentor” at Saltley School in the city.

The report says there has been no “systematic attempt to recruit or radicalise people in full time education in this country, either in the state or independent sector.”

But it warns that “at least three separate al-Qaeda-related operations in this country have involved people who, to varying extents, became involved in extremism while they were at school” – members of the fertiliser bomb plot, July 7 cell and the trans-Atlantic airlines plot.
